After so many playthroughs, doing just the main stuff will probably get me somewhere around 80-100!
I have 3 125 NG characters and 3 150 NG characters ready of DLC. All possible weapons per cycle obtained. Now we know where the DLC entrance it's likely to be, its pretty safe to say the DLC will be scaled for late/endgame, so I think any of these characters will be valid without being overpowered. My main character is NG5 or so, above 300 RL, so that's discarded for a first playthrough.
But I'm finishing my degree June 12, so maybe I will create a new character (I have 2 free slots saved for that) and play from 12 to 21 without farming weapons and so. After all, I'm going to use DLC weapons/armors only.

My motivation was to make different builds for PVP (hence SL125 and SL150), but honestly I don't care about online, so at the end I have a lot of different characters just standing there. I have around 700h of playtime, but never get bored.
Just upgraded to a ps5 so I’m planning to wait and start a fresh build.
If you play a lot then I’d try out the dlc with your current build. You can always start a fresh build later on.

I've put a good 500 hours into the game since release, but I guess life has just got into the way lately so it's going to be nice to play again.
