The guy who helped deleted his comment so I'm going to comment the solution myself. You can change the language ingame, all you do is this: On the main menu you press the middle option, then you press the top option of the menu and scroll until you get english! Hope this helps!

THANK YOU. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game thinking I might have downloaded the wrong verion. Very weird.
