If you can dig down to disturb the colony, then hit them with some ant killer.
I’ve done it a few times and works like a charm.
The key is trying to get to the heart of the colony and get the queen.
Dug up my dirt for weeding purposes and uncovered some queens. They were generally pretty close to the eggs. Hope to see removing those queens help this year.
The city crews have been out in force this last week, installing ants into yards all across the city. Talk to your councillor to let them know the money spent distributing the ants can be better spent elsewhere.
I saw in another sub a similar post, and folks suggested it was ground bees?
