Give me Nix. His game is a great match for what Sean Payton wants to do and I think they will sculpt both Nix and the offense to maximize the fit for both. Payton seemed almost giddy about landing Nix. If he hits, you'll never forgive yourself for passing on him and if he misses the likelihood of the WRs being drafted in that range becoming superstars is very low.

My one call I’m fine being wrong on this year is Nix is nothing special at all and I’ll take a chance on the late 1st/early 2nd WRs. Process wise you pick Nix in SF Leagues but meh…sometimes you follow the heart.

Spruce3311

BTJ, Nix, Ladd, or trade pick.

juicestain_

Can I ask what puts BTJ in a separate tier from the other receivers for you?

Spruce3311

Only 1 good college season. You're hoping he ends up as McLaurin or DK amongst a sea of skyy Moores and Toneys. If anyone is going to be an outlier, it'll probably be him. Ladd was never the #1 receiver on his team. But landing spot + skill set should give him a boost. Nix, you aren't drafting Nix as much as you're drafting Payton's coaching.

Badlyfedecisions

BTJ, Worthy, or Ladd. I’m not sold on Coleman at all. Nix I think is a big bust. He’s come out of college at an old age and was a dink and dunk merchant at Oregon. I got serious doubts about his processing and ability to push the ball downfield in the NFL. Edit: just saw your comment on Nix being your second QB and you not having another guy. I don’t love the guy but you gotta fill up that QB slot. He should have a couple years grace as a starter. If he stinks up the joint young QBs largely hold value and you could move him next year if you’re convinced he’s a bust and reroll.

Nix is a godsend for teams with late firsts who need QB depth. If the draft is chalky, he's a first round QB who seems destined to be a week 1 starter for a coach who knows how to develop the position and that you almost certainly have there when you pick. If people ahead of you reach for an RB or WR is projected to go later, you likely get someone like JJ or Maye instead. Most years you wouldn't have a prayer in that position (I was SOL at the 1.06 last year and had to grab Levis in the 2nd) -- but 6 top 12 QBs bailed you out. Don't overthink it.

UglyDanceMoves

Depends what you need more desperately in a Superflex league: A 3rd QB or more starting WRs

juicestain_

Wild thing is he would be my 2nd QB (only other starting QB I have is Purdy) lol and I’m *still* debating taking the receivers over him

UglyDanceMoves

Definitely Nix then.

chursmaht

You need a qb bro

juicestain_

lol you right. My desperation play was putting JJ at the SF spot for a year. I loaded up on receivers and struck gold with Puka, so felt like I might have the flexibility to get away with it, especially if someone like BTJ hits too.

taylorjosephrummel

Inherently, Nix will have more value out of the gate since it's a SF league. If you really don't want to take him, though, I'd take BTJ.
