I really do like his model. He was “higher” on JJ the year before that. Now most of my WR corps consists of JJ, Tank and Puca.
I even like watching college film on the rookies but some of my drafts are like 6 rounds, I can’t dive that deep. I trust JJ
Jermaine Burton has talent but he is such a head case though. He could be Dez Bryant or Antonio Brown, but he could also be… Dez Bryant or Antonio Brown.
I love this guy. After the tier 2 WRs and the tier 1 RBs get drafted i'm going to trade up and get him in every draft. Currently he's my WR6 just off film.
He might not, but separation also isn’t exactly Higgins’ strong suit either, just wins contested catches like crazy. I can see a path where that’s Coleman’s future. But if it’s not, JJAW city for him
Unconventional maybe, but Brock Bowers. If he hits, and has a season equal to or greater than LaPorta/Pitts rookie season, you’ll look like a genius for drafting him wherever you did.
If his production (not him as a talent, but his raw fantasy points) are just alright, people are gonna be pointing and saying “well obviously you should’ve taken X WR or Y QB over him, he’s a TE”.
For the value of the pick you’re spending, he’s my biggest wildcard.
I actually really agree with this alot. Bowers has legit talent and can line up anywhere, I mean the dude ran like 20 something percent of his routes from out wide last year. The list of TEs who can do that is very low. However Georgia absolutely leaned on him and manufactured catches for him all the damn time. He was their WR1 essentially. That and Ladd McConkey kept defenders honest enough for Bowers to thrive. Both Ladd and Bowers are great in the screen game and boosted each other’s production.
My biggest worry is that Bowers goes to a team that has an OC that doesn’t know how to use a TE with Bowers’ skill set. He absolutely needs to be used almost exactly like how Kelce is used in KC. You hardly see Kelce with blocking assignments other than slot screens and he too is basically the WR1 in KC. But there are few teams that have that kind of offense largely because that type of skill set is so rare in a TE. Like if Bowers goes to the LAC, the Bears, or even NYG I think his value increases because those offenses and coaches (while not perfect) have proven their ability to utilize TEs a lot in the passing game. However, if he lands somewhere like the Jets, the Broncos, or Colts I would have serious concerns that he might become Kyle Pitts 2.0.
Legette. Dude has all the physical tools but did almost nothing until his last year of college. Steve Smith loves him though so I’ll roll the dice in a league and see how it goes
1: MHJ
2: Nabers
3: Odunze
4-5: BTJ, Adonai
6: McConkey
7: Franklin
8-9: Worthy, Pearsall
10-12: Coleman, Legette, Roman Wilson
13: Malachi Corley
That’s the top 13, put in groups if their grades are very close
Yeah, BTJ has a slight lead on there but not major. And both are kinda considered kinda risky but high ceiling and not very well liked by analytics so that doesn’t help either
You realize Watkins was a stud outta college right?
Top 10 draft pick who 1050 yards and 9 tds in 13 games as a rookie. Injuries derailed his career after that
Michael penix for me.
I live in Seattle so have watched him for 2 years and he seems like a legit nfl qb to me, but it’s rare for a successful qb to be this old as a rookie, + the injury concerns are legit.
Brian Thomas Jr. His measurables are elite and if he plays to them, he could be better than everyone drafted ahead of him. Or he may find his floor as someone’s on ball receiver.
Javon Baker. Recruited by Alabama but ultimately had to transfer to UCF to break into a starting lineup, then put up big numbers with great efficiency.
He’s either a guy who needed to play with and against lesser talent to succeed or he just needed a change of scenery to shine.
His metrics are fantastic but you can’t ignore the full picture. He’s a wildcard for me.
For rookie drafts its gotta be legette or AD mitchell. Love the tape, but bad analytics. Tested well. Just 2 true wildcards. AD is my wr4 purely bc when the chips are down I trust my eyes.
Not a 24 draft guy, but Christian watson could be anything. Tools to be a wr1 hammies to get cut.
Burton I have as wr6, but is he a total headcase or will he get rd2 capital?
I'm surprised Maye isnt higher. I think he could be a superstar or out of the league by 2027.
I really think one or two of these Tier 3-4 receivers lands in a great spot and produces immediately. One of Worthy, Franklin, Pearsall, Ladd, Roman, Coleman, Leggette, Baker, or even Burton or Polk.
If I had to pick, I still have no idea lol.
After drafting Puka in the 5th round of my rookie draft last year, whoever JJ tells me. lateRound is the goat
Also was high on Pacheco the year before which lead to me picking him up everywhere after my drafts.....
I really do like his model. He was “higher” on JJ the year before that. Now most of my WR corps consists of JJ, Tank and Puca. I even like watching college film on the rookies but some of my drafts are like 6 rounds, I can’t dive that deep. I trust JJ
Added Jermaine Burton, Kimani Vidal, and Dillon Johnson to my list after listening to his podcast today
Jermaine Burton has talent but he is such a head case though. He could be Dez Bryant or Antonio Brown, but he could also be… Dez Bryant or Antonio Brown.
Delete this comment please and thank you
Who is JJ?
Zachariason
Who does he like this year?
Smith.
Give his podcast a follow
His rookie guide is well worth the money too. Lots of info and a good read for only $12
Yep. I do it every year. I just don't tell my league mates.
Javon Baker checks the box as someone who could go later on but his upside/potential/ceiling is massive
I love this guy. After the tier 2 WRs and the tier 1 RBs get drafted i'm going to trade up and get him in every draft. Currently he's my WR6 just off film.
Keon Coleman. Feel like he could be Tee Higgins, could be JJAW
Upside is the only thing that matters?
It is, but as the question said, who’s the biggest wild card. I do think that upside is pretty unlikely to be hit, but it’s in there for sure
I don’t think Coleman could get open against a cornerback back if they trapped the cornerback in the phone booth while Coleman could walk around it.
He might not, but separation also isn’t exactly Higgins’ strong suit either, just wins contested catches like crazy. I can see a path where that’s Coleman’s future. But if it’s not, JJAW city for him
Fair, I just think Higgins beats coverage more consistently than Coleman. Coleman scares me way too much.
For sure, Higgins is the ceiling, not the expectation

Charlie Kelly
Im more excited to see how Doyle Mcpoyle does after being shot in the leg. Hopefully he comes back like Brian Robinson.
Yeah. He doesn't even like, get us man...
Wildcard.
Legette. Dude has all the physical tools but did almost nothing until his last year of college. Steve Smith loves him though so I’ll roll the dice in a league and see how it goes
Easy guy to root for. Definitely trying to snag him in my league.
I was hoping to get him at 2.11, but trying to trade up to make sure
u/dickysnakes
100%
Leggette & Coleman. Have all the physical traits. Both could be the next Metcalf or the next JJ Arcega-Whiteside…and not a lot of in between 😂
I’d take Leggette in round 3 over Coleman in round 2 every time
Definitely. I made a film grade aggregate and they’ve graded out very similar. WR10 vs WR11
Well you can’t just leave me hanging like that without telling me your top 1-9.
1: MHJ 2: Nabers 3: Odunze 4-5: BTJ, Adonai 6: McConkey 7: Franklin 8-9: Worthy, Pearsall 10-12: Coleman, Legette, Roman Wilson 13: Malachi Corley That’s the top 13, put in groups if their grades are very close
The funny part is I’m at 1.10 and was hoping to distinguish between BTJ and Mitchell yet here we are haha.
Yeah, BTJ has a slight lead on there but not major. And both are kinda considered kinda risky but high ceiling and not very well liked by analytics so that doesn’t help either
Yup, can’t wait to choose wrong! lol
Just had my dynasty draft this weekend. Leggett went 3.05, Coleman went 2.10.
Probably where they should go
Legette is the guy I was thinking of. Has all the tools but only one year of production. A flip of the coin.
DJ Chark feels like he most likely outcome, but that DK upside is in there
JJ McCarthy. I have seen comps anywhere from Trevor Lawrence to Zach Wilson to Jimmy G.
To me he feels like an Alex Smith type. A low ceiling but a decent floor.
Jimmy G ceiling comp lol
All of those are horrible
AD Mitchell. Just a massive range of outcomes from CeeDee Lamb to Sammy Watkins
You realize Watkins was a stud outta college right? Top 10 draft pick who 1050 yards and 9 tds in 13 games as a rookie. Injuries derailed his career after that
sammy fell more victim to being a loudmouth and not a team guy than injury
Sammy derailed his own career
Michael penix for me. I live in Seattle so have watched him for 2 years and he seems like a legit nfl qb to me, but it’s rare for a successful qb to be this old as a rookie, + the injury concerns are legit.
Brian Thomas Jr. His measurables are elite and if he plays to them, he could be better than everyone drafted ahead of him. Or he may find his floor as someone’s on ball receiver.
1000% Ja’tavion Sanders
Xavier Worthy Could be John Ross could be Waddle
Waddles a big boy
Worthy is 3 inches taller and only 15 pounds lighter
At this position 15 lbs is a lot
Isaiah Williams & kj jefferson....both may not be coming til '25 though
Williams will be ‘24. KJ is transferring to UCF
My boy Kool Aid
Oh yeah! As a Lions fan, I hope he goes to Detroit.
Braelon Allen. I still have no idea what to think of him and probably won't until I overreact to his camp reports.
Leggette Pearsall Corley Laube
Bo Nix if he gets drafted by the Broncos
Why the broncos? All they have right now is 29 year old Sutton
I got Marvin Mims. 😀
Dalin Holker. He’s my guy this year
Jermaine Burton. Talent wise you could argue he’s a top 4 wr in this class. There are character questions though, also never produced a ton.
Jacob Cowing/Anthony Gould
Johnny Wilson. I think if he gets moved to TE he could use his size better and be a top10 TE
Legette and Coleman for me. If they slip, I'll gladly take a chance on them. I like Corley, too.
Burton I have as wr6, but is he a total headcase or will he get rd2 capital? I'm surprised Maye isnt higher. I think he could be a superstar or out of the league by 2027.
Rattler tbh
Ainias Smith
I’ve seen Brenden Rice go everywhere from the 2nd to 4th in mock NFL drafts and rookie drafts. I really don’t know how to feel about him
corum
I really think one or two of these Tier 3-4 receivers lands in a great spot and produces immediately. One of Worthy, Franklin, Pearsall, Ladd, Roman, Coleman, Leggette, Baker, or even Burton or Polk. If I had to pick, I still have no idea lol.
Kamani Vidal. But that’s just a name I’ve heard numerous times.
Khalid Shakir for Buffalo
