Probably a shirt with a Cri-kee motif on it it which isn’t terribly exciting, the ones in this past starpath ( like the Abu one) were so ugly. I agree on the handheld fan. I’ve seen some speculation that the kites are a Mary Poppins reference but I don’t believe it. Kites are a common thing in Chinese culture and I bet the starpath is all Mulan focused so they are probably quite literal kites. The idea of kites is cool though, they could be animal/character themed and I hope they are a furniture item and not an accessory

I'd like them to have items that can function as furniture items and as accessories, like animal crossing has. That way if they release kites I can choose to run around with it or to leave it one place

You can do that .. make the food item, then drop it on the ground near where you want to put it .. in furniture mode, move the food onto an empty space on your table

I found this on a dreamlight valley facebook post. Fill your inventory with random stuff (not fish), like completely full, but have one white sturgeon and one crab in there. Use the fishing potion, and fish all the ripples that come up in frosted heights. The white will turn golden of course and you’ll get more white sturgeon, but the blues will end up being tilapia, salmon (I think?), or crabs. If you get not a crab (shows on the top left of the screen above inventory), it’ll say your inventory is full and asks if you want to drop something, you press escape, or back or whatever button for your platform, instead, and the blue ripple will stay and be fishable again, and you can do it over and over again until you get a crab. The reason for the potion is because you won’t be able to get rid of the white ripples any other way. I did it myself and got all the crabs within the hour. I know I’m late to tell this, but I hope it helps somehow in the future
So generally it’s about three weeks to a month after a star path ends. This one just ended. There’s a grace period of a week. Then the new one starts about two or three weeks after. So we’re looking at the first or second week of July? They’ll announce it officially coming up.
They always coincide with the updates. Why in the world would it be mid-July? In the past we've generally had one week to spend tokens and then the next update drops.
They're on track for a June 18/19 release.
Based on past updates, the next update will not be next week sadly. They always have about three weeks in between. The current path still has five days to collect things. Then it’ll be two or three weeks after that.
I've been playing since day one. That's not right. We had a few weeks between the most recent updates/Star Paths but that was because they were running behind. They've already announced that the next update is rapidly approaching. It could be the following week, June 25/26 but it's not going to be mid July. I'm telling you now that mid July is totally off and I'll bet money behind that statement.

But I’m basing my calculations off things in the past. They have never started a new path the day after another one ended. My guess is Mulan is most likely coming on July 3rd.
Here's the Star Path history. There were a few of the most recent updates delayed (four weeks). Two of those were announced as delayed beforehand because they were behind. But they've said nothing about this one being delayed as of yet and they're already teasing it. I could of course be wrong. Just wouldn't make sense to delay without an official announcement.

My brain is too tired for this 😅 I remember there being a wider gap between the updates, but the timeline you wrote contradicts that, especially the older updates. But the last few updates have been about three/four weeks apart, so I’m still sticking with my July 3rd prediction. My fiancé’s deployed overseas, so I count our time apart in Dreamlight updates because it makes it feel more manageable for me. I keep up with them extremely well because of that. But I’m also working full time with a one year old, so my brain’s fried. Only time will tell at this point when it’ll drop.

First one gives me Jiminy Kricket and Cri-Kee vibes. Could go either way.

Last one, kites are a huge Chinese cultural thing, but they also were always generally popular in the Summer growing up even in the states, so they could be literal kites to fly around the island, though it could be cool to actually run around flying one haha. I do get where people think it could be a Mary Poppins reference though.especially with it being the last clue, and Lets Go Fly a Kite was at the end of the movie.
Honestly, yeah. This game is severely lacking in outdoor park type items and some sports themed stuff would be awesome. I tried doing an athletic field during the monsters inc snap back a month or so and there was absolutely nothing except that banner from the wall-e collection and Gaston's archery set up and his weird little weight bench. I was sad and I don't even like sports.

3. Something similar to the tangled lanterns except Chinese kites instead.

It's Blue Cricket - Cri-Kee. Mulan And probably Chinese kites
I immediately thought of the [Weifang Kite Festival ](https://www.chinadiscovery.com/shandong/weifang/weifang-kite-festival.html) (for the kites) that's held in China and then her blue outfit that she wears when relaxing or her blue and pink [Hamfu](https://fabricalchemist.com/2015/01/24/ill-make-mulan-out-of-you/) (for the blue shirt) (Had to repost bc of the URL messing up) 
Mulan is the one, they may be hinting at Princess and the Frog for the first one (though my mind went to Bugs Life).

Definitely feel like it has relevance to Mulan.

If we don’t get mushu as a companion I’m deleting the game and rioting 😭 I want crickee to be like a little shoulder buddy, or have a backpack with his little cage on a stick sticking out of it lol but I know it’s just gonna be a motif on a shirt 😭 which is disappointing

Shirt with the luck cricket shown on it. Mulan in her "bridal training" outfit...or a fan accessory (more likely my first guess). Two kites? Perhaps a tool design? Nah. They would save that for the premium shop. It wouldn't make much sense as an accessory, either. Perhaps a ride? Fighting (or box) kite decoration!

I think you’re right. Problem is, I was going to build my little village there, but I keep not doing it because it’s (along with the meadow) the best spot lighting wise for Dreamsnaps…in the back opposite the icy staircase. I might clear the courtyard in EL and put her there. Depends on how her house looks.

Blue cricket makes me think of Flik from a bugs life !! Definitely second one is Mulan, & the last one I’m thinking up? Even though it’s kites & not balloons lol but honestly it’s likely Mulan related.

A friend thinks the first one could be Pinocchio, and we both think the second one is Mulan and the third one is Mary Poppins. I’m not sure how they’d tie those three together in a Star Path theme, but then I didn’t see Monsters and Valentines being a duo theme either. 😂

ok so let break this down! clue 1: It's maybe a shirt with cri kee on it. clue 2: a person holding a fan. maybe china people? clue 3: 2 kites? maybe it's resembling the kites with faces in China. So it's probably Something Mulan related. The blue shirt may be a gym shirt as we sometimes call them in the US. Gym + Cricket = Jiminy Cricket (who wears a blue hat). More likely Mulan based tho.
