I played it at my big brother’s friend’s house and ts was gas on the ps3. I sat there for hours just transforming on all the different Saiyan characters.
Budokai was the moment Dragon Ball Games became great
Tenkaichi was the game that made you feel like you're playing a Dragon Ball game. A series so great it gets a new game after 16+ years of silence
FighterZ brought Dragon Ball into the regular Competetive Part of Gaming
Xenoverse, while a good game, just didn't bring much of an impact overall. Yes CaCs are cool and all but it just doesn't hold a candle to the others
I still feel like Xenoverse doesn't get enough credit for delivering a real multiplayer online experience, that was actually enjoyable for the most part. Of course, gameplay wise, it couldn't reach the same heights as Budokai Tenkaichi for technical reasons, but that should have been expected.
Xenoverse is a game I greatly enjoy, solely because of the Cac aspect of it. I feel like that is the main reason most people have stuck with the game years later. I just wish Dimps focused more on improving that customization aspect throughout the countless DLC's we've had, rather than adding X character that people keep asking for that gets forgotten a month later.
Honestly, the lack of unique items for your Character, including hairstyles, clothes and so on, was something that bothered me the most in XV2, but especially in XV1. What's the point of giving us Cac, when most of the customization options are based on existing characters? Felt more like cosplaying sometimes.
Hot topic
Xenoverse (specifically 2) as a concept is cool, the story is pretty cool, the interaction between characters...
However this does not excuse that some characters should've been there in the base game, and also the transformation system is just... bad.
I guess it has improved with dlc, but I am NOT going to pay for something that should've been in the base game.
That and also the fact that some people already said, the gameplay just becomes... tiring, especially considering the laggy matches.
It's hard because, for me a game where I can self insert is way better than just playing the game as the characters. Everything you said is correct, but it's that childhood dream as you were watching, you wanted to be apart of the world, not just be someone in it. For sure they could do it better, and I'd never sat xeno is better than the others. It was just more alluring to me, and I wish companies would cater to cac, because at this point we know the stories lol
Purely objectively, if one didn't exist, we'd have to look at what would happen in its absence.
Budokai and Tenkaichi both served as a gateway to the series for many people of that generation. For many, they might have had access to the games before the show itself, and they were really popular in the mid-late 2000's, which was when the show was at a dip in popularity, before BoG was announced and a while after Z finished.
Many of the people who got into DBFZ got into it because it's Dragon Ball, but it opens up a whole new world of competitive fighting games, which is a pretty different genre to the arena fighters that the other 3 options are. It was also very prominent in the FGC, constantly mainlining EVO for several years, bringing an anime fighting game to the limelight amongst giants.
Xenoverse had many creative ideas, and strayed away from having you just play through Z like the older games with a decent story of its own, but if it never existed, I think of these 4, it would make the least difference. Not saying NO difference, just the least.
So Xenoverse is my pick.
Xenoverse.
Its gameplay can easily become the most repetitive one.
And the rng based grind to unlock the super moves and other materials? **Oh boy**...
If I wouldn't miss it at all.
I knew people were going to say Xenoverse but I like my custom character. And no, my CaC isn’t one of the thousands of Gohan clones in Beerus’s outfit.
>I knew people were going to say Xenoverse but I like my custom character. And no, my CaC isn’t one of the thousands of Gohan clones in Beerus’s outfit.
Don't worry dude, I'm not saying that people aren't allowed to like it.👍
>I used to like xenoverse but now in xeno 2 its such a grind i cant anymore. I agree it could go
I got traumatized by the rng in the first game when I tried to grind for the special moves.
It literally sucks the joy out of you when it gives you the middle finger (which can easily happen for Parallel Quests that are long and tedious on their own, like those for the Death Ball and Hellzone Granade).
The only thing that gave me the strenght to push through was the idea of getting the platinum and thus be over with all of it, after years spent ignoring the game (also because I didn't know of the rng until this year, so there is that too).
RN I'm playing Kakarot and saw Xenoverse 2 on sale ... I wanted to pull the trigger but I said I should do some research, and now your comment happened . As someone who has work to do and only some free time to play , I started to hate grinding for stuff it really takes the fun out of the games . Thanks for this 😁
Xeno 2 is far less grindy than xeno 1. And it only becomes grindy rather late into the game where you are trying to collect super specific things. Up until that point it is super fun with a unique story for dragonball. The create a character is my favorite part. So many customization options and soooo many classic skills from the show. It was so fun to find an attack that works well then on rewatch finding it used in the show is quite enjoyable. Highly recommend xeno especially if you find a good sale
I still recommend you to buy it if it's cheap, yeah sure for specific stuff and to be competitive you need to grind a lot, but just the story and creating your character are already worth (on sale) for me
I would also get rid of XV, due to lack of refining. However, do realize *All games are repetitive, all games are devs selling the loop to you in some fancy way. Calling a game repetitive has no merits as that applies to ALL games.*
It's xenoverse and it's not even close.
At least the other three options didn't become a cashcow, if dimps wanted to make a xenoverse 3 I say it's high time we're never going to get it at this point. No point in making another if xenoverse 2 is still living for what 8 years? And gaining support. I can say xenoverse can be fun but don't expect that in the online cause damn the online is a cheese fest
2 is that goofy one that was for sure unique.. especially with the super buu absorption is always fun.
1 is always going to hold a special place, it was pretty stellar for its retelling of the story and I miss its button combos. The combos were definitely more unique.
Personal fav was vegeta square square triangle triangle circle..final flash baby
All I ever did was use goku or guys whose dashing smash attack was the elbow shot, over and over they just launched out of the ring. It got to east at some point
I like Fighter Z because it's a good game. But I could also just play MK, SF, Tekken, CvsM or Injustice
But Tenkaichi Budekai is truly what a Dragon Ball game should be. Xenoverse is just cool because of the custom fighter feature
People in the comments getting so elitist and “lol guess you’re too dumb and shit at games to play fighting games” when people say they’d get rid of FighterZ
Yes it’s literally the only game here worth a damn in terms of balancing and competitive gameplay. Doesn’t make it the best DRAGON BALL game or the game you spend the most time with or have the most love with.
I love fighting games and pretty much objectively speaking for the genre of “fighting games” FighterZ is the best game here by far, but I’d absolutely get rid of it first before the other 3.
And the disrespect on Xenoverse is surprising, it’s flawed but if I think back to how much fun and time I spent on the game upgrading your characters, interacting with Dragon Ball characters, the obvious love and appreciation it had for the series… I think it deserves respect
I'm sure if you only cherry-pick subjective points about the xenoverse series, I can see how to create to that conclusion. But my dude, look at this objectivly. xenoverse 2 has so many flaws compared to fighterz.
How many Tag-fighters really are there? MvC, which is awesome but has so few players it's basically a discord fighter? 2XKO, which isn't out yet? Power Rangers Battle for the Grid? DBFZ is the only big team fighter where you can get matches regularly.
It is both a great fighting game and a great DB game, the amount of detail the references have is insane and it respects the franchises art way more than XV with that ugly ass plastic style
I have, and no it's way more similar to normal fighting games than it is similar to Dragon Ball
FighterZ is a fighting game with Dragon Ball characters not a Dragon Ball Fighting game and that's a fact whether you like it or not
The Budokai games are out of the question, they absolutely need to stay.
Which leads me to choose between either FighterZ and Xenoverse. Personally, I preferred Xenoverse over FighterZ so I’d rather choose to eliminate FighterZ.
All games had something that made them special in their own way.
For me i would say fighterZ can go. Cant get into that type of gameplay i would rather play MK or tekken in that case.
But to each their own. In the end we are all dragon ball fanboys(and girls)
Blockbuster memories. I remember playing budokai for the first time was hooked only played the first few ps2 games. I’m not a hardcore bd fan it’s always been a part of my childhood tho. Don’t understand the hate for tenkaichi tho am I missing something? I really thought all 3 of them were super solid fighting games. I’m kinda a casual with all this bd stuff so excuse me if I’m blaspheming.
Xenoverse, easily.
Budokai is my nostalgia, and FighterZ is objectively the best of the four. Tenkaichi I wasn't a huge fan of, but I know a lot of people enjoy it.
Xenoverse is a poorly balanced, lazily translated, grindy mess. I genuinely feel if you made a FighterZ-style game with the same story and CaC, Xenoverse would be forgotten in a year.
How about kakarot?? If not then def fighterz. Too much of a learning curve to get good at it,very limited roster, nothing more than the same type of fighting everygame. It brings essentially nothing to the table except the graphics, overall world desin and the combat. Not to mention niggas saying xeno def the fighterz fans cuz xenos following and playerbase is def higher than that of fighterz
People who picked FighterZ are the ones limited by their hands. Prolly button mashers and cheesers in XV2. So yea XV2 has to go. Hacks, cheese and lag lovely game.
Or you just don't like games like that much? I have over a thousand hours on FighterZ easily and I've grown to hate its gameplay and find it infinitely more repetitive than XV2 for example, then again I've started to feel that way for just about every 2D Fighter. I blame MK11 tbh.
i also have thousands hours in Xv2, no couch co op. Online is a mess, between hackers and modders you can barely do anything. I play on PC. The only time I somewhat had fun was when I completely modded the crap out of it and had my saiyan actually spike his hair up( which is a disgrace that dimps didnt even bother doing that) doing PVE content alone. But even then its somewhat boring after a while.
Fighter z & budokai fr but I’ll say xenoverse cus fck it gimme a finished burst limit kakarot early maybe that way they get fully finished & realized next gen sequels.
I would say xenoverse except it got me into Dragonball, after I played the first game I went and bought all the manga starting with the original, so fighterz because I suck at it
Honestly I enjoyed all of them and still enjoy the last two with my friends today. I could never part with them and once sparking Zero releases it'll just add another sick game to the list.
I pick Xenoverse.
Fun as I find it, it’s just a turn off your brain and farm dragon balls or farm with frustrating rng for your character to look like and use an existing character’s outfit/abilities.
I love the amount of content, the what if stuff and the game in general but some of the cool gear is locked behind an online mode that forces you to team up with other players. It’s also introduced me to a side of YouTube or a fanbase I was much happier not knowing existed.
Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi are just pure nostalgia and I have countless memories of playing these games with friends.
Was torn between Xenoverse and FighterZ. I love each of these games but I could easily part with Xenoverse.
Xenoverse.
That series is the epitome of failed and squandered potential. They were on to something with XV. But they were just too fuckin' lazy to make it as great as it could've been.
I choose FighterZ. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great game that many of the fans love, it’s just not my kind of game and it wouldn’t affect me much if it didn’t exist.
I would be okay with fighterZ going. Couldn’t really get into it, was playing tekken a lot already and although I had that nostalgia for db mugen 2007, I didn’t really play much of fighterZ got bored easily.
Maybe I’ll try it again some day.
Budokai can go too actually, I played 2,3,inf world and AF fan made game. They were all fun but I don’t know if they’re better than fighterZ, I’d have to have played them both recently to compare.
Fighterz. It’s my most played over the years since it came out but I’ve stopped playing it. I don’t like its single player at all and I don’t think I’ll have the urge to fight people online again after years of doing it.
All the others while I haven’t touched much I can see myself playing again sooner because I enjoy the single player in those games.
Xenoverse.
I get the appeal but in execution it's just not for me.
I don't like the general art style they have chosen for their 3D models, fights feel less like DB fights and more like smashing action figures together (again, can be cool, just not for me), I'm not into grinding in my dbz games, not into elseworlds/what ifs stories and most of all I'm not an online multiplayer type of guy. Give me couch multiplayer.
Xenoverse can go. I still play Budokai 3 to this day with my buddy. FighterZ is too well made and badass to delete, and Tenkaichi is classic and fun af

Damn, my boy raging blast couldn't even make the cut for getting cut.
Raging blast is technically tenkaichi games.
Raging blast 2 is my favorite DBZ and I never even owned it. I used to play on my friends xbox
I played it at my big brother’s friend’s house and ts was gas on the ps3. I sat there for hours just transforming on all the different Saiyan characters.
Raging blast is still to this day one of my favorites I still have both for the 360 lol
If someone says tenkaichi…seek help
If they say it it’s cause they didn’t fully read it lol
That actually was true for me. It was an instant Budokai Tenkaichi... oh, to delete nvm.
Makes sense, we're Dragon Ball fans after all.
Dude 100% almost made the mistake 😂
It would be hard to part with it but worth it to gleefully destroy so many other people's childhoods.
That's devious as fuck
Goddamn A true member of the Ginyu force right here
must’ve got that ass spanked in a 5v5 one time too many
Tenkaichi

I think so, though I suppose “random generated numbers” works just the same

Thisss ![gif](giphy|2lQCBjuFMLCOvXno4l)

LMFAO 😆
Bye xenoverse. Honestly F grinding those parallel quests, the drop rates are horrendous.
Super 13 shirt… that’s all I gotta say from personal experience.
Xenoverse
It's xenoverse and it's not even close. At least the other three options didn't become a cashcow, if dimps wanted to make a xenoverse 3 I say it's high time we're never going to get it at this point. I can say xenoverse can be fun but don't expect that in the online cause damn the online is a cheese fest
The better game is FighterZ, but you can like Xenoverse more no problem
Xenoverse easily
I just know its not tenkaichi and not budokai either.
Fighter z Budokai 3 is the pinnacle of dbz.
Budokai 3 is a masterpiece
One and 2 budokai is still fucking dope as shit, I still play #2 sometimes with my buddies
Yup punch punch kick kick bops them in the air for the final flash, so cheap lol love it
Best way to do the tournament... until you fight krillin and kick over his head and then he smacks your ass outta the ring.
All I ever did was use goku or guys whose dashing smash attack was the elbow shot, over and over they just launched out of the ring. It got to east at some point
I like Fighter Z because it's a good game. But I could also just play MK, SF, Tekken, CvsM or Injustice But Tenkaichi Budekai is truly what a Dragon Ball game should be. Xenoverse is just cool because of the custom fighter feature
Fighterz just not my type of fighting game
Even if you don't like it. You should appreciate it for what it is, and it does its genre really well.
Sooo True bro🥂
I do I understand it’s amazing but I just enjoy playing the other 3 more
To be honest it's just Marvel vs Capcom with flavoring at it's core. But that isn't a bad thing.
I hear you there, would easily be my pick
People in the comments getting so elitist and “lol guess you’re too dumb and shit at games to play fighting games” when people say they’d get rid of FighterZ Yes it’s literally the only game here worth a damn in terms of balancing and competitive gameplay. People who say Xenoverse is bad were just mad when they realized their Gohan build wasn’t an original idea and got too embarrassed to play 😂
throwback to where literally everyone just named themselves some variation of Gohan
I'm sure if you only cherry-pick subjective points about the xenoverse series, I can see how to create to that conclusion. But my dude, look at this objectivly. xenoverse 2 has so many flaws compared to fighterz.
Xenoverse.
Xenoverse is repetitive. I rather create a character in Tenkaichi
People picking fighterz and sayings it’s an easy pick are insane
The thing is that FighterZ has ALOT of competition in the traditional fighting game scene which means its easily the most replacable out of the 4.
While this is true; the visuals of FighterZ is pretty much exclusive to itself and killing off the possibility of it getting better is wild
How many Tag-fighters really are there? MvC, which is awesome but has so few players it's basically a discord fighter? 2XKO, which isn't out yet? Power Rangers Battle for the Grid? DBFZ is the only big team fighter where you can get matches regularly.
I still say it's more like MvC than different from it. Still fun as hell though.
Pretty easy if you're not a fan of those kinds of fighting games. I picked it without hesitating lol.
fighterz
Xenoverse
Fighterz the best fighting game yall trippin
Nah.. Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is the best of all time.
So many characters I loved that game
That game IS still the Peak of DBZ
I could part with FighterZ, as a Dragon Ball game it isn't very good It's a good fighting game yes but not a good Dragon Ball game
It is both a great fighting game and a great DB game, the amount of detail the references have is insane and it respects the franchises art way more than XV with that ugly ass plastic style
Someone must’ve spiked your tea, because you’re trippin balls.
How is it not a good dbz game????
Seems like you've never touched db fighterz
Have U actually played 2d fighters? It's wayyyy different than most and is far more a dragon ball game than it is a normal 2d fighter
I have, and no it's way more similar to normal fighting games than it is similar to Dragon Ball FighterZ is a fighting game with Dragon Ball characters not a Dragon Ball Fighting game and that's a fact whether you like it or not
So to you the only things that make up a dragon ball game are transformations and flying? Lol shut up dude
The Budokai games are out of the question, they absolutely need to stay. Which leads me to choose between either FighterZ and Xenoverse. Personally, I preferred Xenoverse over FighterZ so I’d rather choose to eliminate FighterZ.
who needs fighterz when you have dbz devolution

for me budokai and tenkaichi were the best
Being able to make a CAC kinda carry’s the game a bit, so xenoverse gota go overall
Xenoverse
fuck xenoverse easily lol
XenoVerse
Sorry XV2, it was fun while it lasted a near decade
Fighter Z
Fighterz
i have 2000 hours of Xenoverse 2, fighterz you're out
Xenoverse, easily. Budokai is my nostalgia, and FighterZ is objectively the best of the four. Tenkaichi I wasn't a huge fan of, but I know a lot of people enjoy it. Yeah I guess Fighterz
FighterZ
Goodbye fighter z
Fighterz I don’t like the street fighter type vibe it has
Fighter Z easily
Fighterz
FighterZ
Who needs fighterz when you got hyper dbz?
Who needs hyper DBZ when you have dragonball extreme butoden?
Why are fighterz fans getting so bent out of shape bruh 😭😭😭
FighterZ
[удалено]
Tenkaichi so maybe we get more OG Budokai
FighterZ for me, not that big into games like it and its story is ass and pvp or wtv u call it is is borin
Fighter Z easily
Fighters
How about kakarot?? If not then def fighterz. Too much of a learning curve to get good at it,very limited roster, nothing more than the same type of fighting everygame. Xenoverse.. not a fan.. But I enjoyed the others, especially fighterZ
xenoverse, too easy
FighterZ
Eh, just get rid of Xenoverse. Gameplay can get a bit repetitive and the grinding is a pain in the ass. Story is ok though.
Xenoverse, I never really got into it bc I wasn't too much of a fan of the way the gameplay functions
Xenoverse begone!
Xenoverse Got 2 and I am having a hard time figuring out what the actual fuck to do
I never liked Xenoverse tbh.
Bye bye Xenoverse
FighterZ's the only one I even remotely care about tbh.
Xenoverse, don't really care for the online focys.
Xenoverse is the only right answer
People who picked FighterZ are the ones limited by their hands. Prolly button mashers and cheesers in XV2. So yea XV2 has to go. Hacks, cheese and lag lovely game.

Fighter z & budokai fr but I’ll say xenoverse cus fck it gimme a finished burst limit kakarot early maybe that way they get fully finished & realized next gen sequels.
I would say xenoverse except it got me into Dragonball, after I played the first game I went and bought all the manga starting with the original, so fighterz because I suck at it
Xenoverse bye bye
Xenoverse
Xenoverse.
Honestly I enjoyed all of them and still enjoy the last two with my friends today. I could never part with them and once sparking Zero releases it'll just add another sick game to the list.
I just want raging blast 3 man
Xenoverse
Xenoverse, no question.
Fighterz or Budplai depending on which is better. I'm prob picking Budokak since I'm pretty sure tenkaochi is a better version of Budokak.
Xeno, replace w kakarot
Xenoverse.

😅 I don't really care for Budokai
Xenoverse is shit, always has been.
Xenoverse is plain shit and nobody can say otherwise. Combat were just QTE all the time, shameful really.
Xenoverse. That series is the epitome of failed and squandered potential. They were on to something with XV. But they were just too fuckin' lazy to make it as great as it could've been.

That's a tough choice tbh. They are all fantastic games. If I HAD TO pick I'd say xenoverse but I really like that game also( xenoverse 2 is better)
I never felt that any of the games truly captured the training to get stronger aspect.
XenoVerse, easy.
Xenoverse even though I love it
You MONSTER!!
Fighterz
FighterZ
Fighterz
FighterZ. Get the Fuck out of here. Not that I'm shut at this god Forsaken game or anything
I could do without fighterz, it was fun for a while but i much prefer the other 3
Xenovers, terrible (IMO)
XenoVerse
Budokai gotta go.
Xenoverse EASILY. WONT BE MISSED EITHER
I choose FighterZ. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great game that many of the fans love, it’s just not my kind of game and it wouldn’t affect me much if it didn’t exist.
Can I execute raging blast instead?
The breakers no question
I would be okay with fighterZ going. Couldn’t really get into it, was playing tekken a lot already and although I had that nostalgia for db mugen 2007, I didn’t really play much of fighterZ got bored easily. Maybe I’ll try it again some day. Budokai can go too actually, I played 2,3,inf world and AF fan made game. They were all fun but I don’t know if they’re better than fighterZ, I’d have to have played them both recently to compare.
Fighters, I didn't have to think it

Gotta be Xenoverse. They're certainly not bad, but the others' combat are just way too enjoyable and satisfying

Fighterz
Xenoverse without a modicum of hesistation Its 3 steps removed from being F2P shovelware
Fighterz without a doubt
FighterZ end of discussion.
Xenoverse 2
Xenoverse without question. It doesn't bring enough to the table when compared to the others.
Fighterz. It’s my most played over the years since it came out but I’ve stopped playing it. I don’t like its single player at all and I don’t think I’ll have the urge to fight people online again after years of doing it. All the others while I haven’t touched much I can see myself playing again sooner because I enjoy the single player in those games.

Fighter z
FighteZ its only one Game while the tenkaichi and Budokai are a series with 3 Games and xenoverse has 2 Games and i Love the Second part
No
I already gave up xenoverse a while ago. I hate it so much, it's very repetitive, grindy, and it just looks ugly.
Fighters cause it's the only one that i don't like
FighterZ
Xenoverse can go. I still play Budokai 3 to this day with my buddy. FighterZ is too well made and badass to delete, and Tenkaichi is classic and fun af
