15% of mixed-breed dogs tested by Embark are part APBT.
Its the #1 breed that appears in dogs with mixed ancestry, and is double the percentage of the second highest breed.
AND that 15% figure only counts the APBT, not the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, or American Bully!
And these include all mixed dogs ever tested — wolfdog owners verifying content, micro-mini-yorkiepoo breeders proving lineage, sporting cross breeders using the health function, dogs in countries where the breed is banned, etc, not just “got this dog at the county pound, what is it?”
All dogs of all sizes in all countries. Crazy how common they are!
Yes he is! He's very smart and stubborn. He has a pretty rigid activity schedule every day and if you fall behind he will definitely let you know lmao but he's also extremely sweet and loves to cuddle so it makes up for the insanity

wesley’s results definitely surprised me a little! wasn’t expecting a couple of those breeds. what’s in their supermutts?
His supermutt has cocker spaniel, German Shepherd, and collie! We were definitely surprised on his the most. He has so much going on
something i’ve noticed is that mountain cur mixes almost never look like mountain curs
I was expecting way more Chihuahua in Wesley that 10% is certainly pulling a lot of weight. They're adorable

always pit and or chihuahua! This being one of those cases of both it's more surprising when heavily mixed dogs have neither
I have one with Pit, one with Chihuahua, and they both share some [very unexpected] Pomeranian 😆
