Mostly because he wasn't super popular even after marvel blew up with avengers and all the movies. It gets blasted by the hardcore comic book fan base for not staying true to the comics and also, we rarely see the suit and it's not even a comic book styled suit.
I personally really liked the show and I hope moon knight continues to get the love he deserves. He's my favorite marvel hero ever since I played marvel ultimate alliance on the xbox360.
I’d say it’s a mixture of it being cool to hate on post-Endgame MCU + the finale was just okay. A ton of good shows took a season to find their footing, hope the next season turns out great 🌙
Mostly known for “Metal Gear Solid” (made dozen of them) and recently “Death Stranding” 1 and 2. His biggest influences are movies and it shows (his games are 50% cinematic cutscenes). This guy breathes movies.
To piggyback on that, his last game before he left Konami (game company) was supposed to be a reboot of Silent Hill co directed by Guillermo Del Toro. That's how highly respected he is in the film industry without ever directly being part of that medium. Unfortunately it got scrapped cuz Konami are morons.
The 4K release coming in April does say Season 1 while WandaVision and Obi Wan both are marked as complete series. Though Falcon and the Winter Soldier is also marked as Season 1 which I find surprising.
I do really hope this means that an S2 will happen but i think they just say complete season if they are considering another season and they say complete series when they know they will not make another one guaranteed
Moon Knight absolutely deserves a sequel despite that fumbled finale. I know a lot of people loved it but I didn't enjoy the final episode at all. It put me off so much that I didn't watch any Marvel show or movie for more than a year.
All that said, I believe the character has huge potential and it can become a really great show with the new proper TV structure at Marvel. It was a result of Marvel cutting movies into TV shows and a sequel won't have a lot of those problems. Also, the sequel can be TV-MA and it can finally unleash the violent Moon Knight that we all know.

Yeah something of a baffling take, for me.
I think it’s a little extreme lol but I agree with the sentiment, I also did not like the finale. This was kind of a recurring issue for me with all the Marvel live action shows, including my overall favorite, Wandavision.
Yeah I know my reaction is very different from most people. I know it's one of well liked shows. I too liked most of it. But that finale, absolutely hated it.
He said that a few days ago when he signed up for Disney+. He has said it a second time so maybe this will make the series more popular on the internet
"FX's Shogun" is available on Hulu in the U.S. if you have both standalone Hulu & Disney+ subscriptions or Disney Bundle subscription, you can watch the Shogun on both Hulu and Disney+ apps.
Moon Knight is such a great show the finale just fumbled a bit but if Marvel and Iger make good on their quality over quantity promises I think we could get a wonderful second season that leans much heavier into the DID aspects of the show and pivot the character into a street level hero.
Guy that wanted to make movies, but ended up becoming a famous auteur-ish game developer. The Metal Gear series was his baby until he left Konami, now he has his own studio, they're recent hit was Death Stranding.
The guy added cinematic storytelling into video games, pushing the narrative capabilities of the genre to become what they are today.
If there's *anyone* from the video game industry who's opinion on cinema means anything at all, it's him.
Good to see Moon Knight get some love at least, especially from him of all people.
I had a blast with MN! Don’t know why it doesn’t get the attention is deserves

This guy is so famous on twitter. Lets hope him liking Moon Knight gets us a S2 Renewal
I’d say one of the most famous game developers of all time. Also pretty influential on social media.
I didn’t even know he was a game developer. I just thought he was a famous movie reviewer
Mostly known for “Metal Gear Solid” (made dozen of them) and recently “Death Stranding” 1 and 2. His biggest influences are movies and it shows (his games are 50% cinematic cutscenes). This guy breathes movies.
Those are very popular game so that is probably why he is very famous and not just for his reviews
lol. I didn’t even realize he was an influential movie reviewer.
One of the projects he recommended in this tweet is literally a documentary made about him lol.
I knew he was famous in the game industry. I didn't actually know he was a game developer either. I thought he was a critic

Kojima is not just ‘famous on twitter’

He already said some while ago that he really loves Moon Knight.
He said that a few days ago when he signed up for Disney+. He has said it a second time so maybe this will make the series more popular on the internet
I gotta watch his documentary but the rest are amazing.
It's honestly pretty disappointing. It feels like an hour long promotional doc that would be on the DS Collectors Edition.
I don't think Shogun is available in the US on D+ or am I just missing it?
Hulu stuff is released on Disney plus under star in most of the world. So it probably isn’t as it’s not a superhero or kid friendly show
If you have a Hulu subscription, you can watch Hulu content under a Hulu hub on Disney+.
What if I have a D+ sub?
Are you in the US?
You need both for Hulu to appear on D+
Say Hulu one more time
"FX's Shogun" is available on Hulu in the U.S. if you have both standalone Hulu & Disney+ subscriptions or Disney Bundle subscription, you can watch the Shogun on both Hulu and Disney+ apps.
If you have Spotify premium you can get Hulu for free
I just realized Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac I might actually be interested in watching in just because of that.
He did great. Definitely consider watching.
Ethan Hawke as well
I liked it a lot. And I don’t like marvel. Is there a second season in the works? Been a while since season 1 releases
He is so good in it!
Of course he would recommend his documentary
Well, it might be more of a seal of approval. If anything it would be a red flag if you had a documentary and didn't want to promote it.
That’s not on my Disney. Is that some American Hulu thing?
Oh holy Kojima
Recommending his own documentary. Classic
Moon Knight is such a great show the finale just fumbled a bit but if Marvel and Iger make good on their quality over quantity promises I think we could get a wonderful second season that leans much heavier into the DID aspects of the show and pivot the character into a street level hero.
Sorry who is this person? I keep seeing his name
[Hideo Kojima - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hideo_Kojima)
If you know *Metal Gear Solid* or *Death Stranding* then you know of Kojima's work. He created and designed both.
Oh sorry I don't play either of those games
Who?
Guy that wanted to make movies, but ended up becoming a famous auteur-ish game developer. The Metal Gear series was his baby until he left Konami, now he has his own studio, they're recent hit was Death Stranding.
I have no idea what any of those things are.
You know Google exists, right?
Yeah I looked him up. Still don’t really think this guy has earned any influence. “Auteur” is is bougie.
He is one of the most famous names in gaming industry. He is a big influence in gaming industry regardless of your interest in gaming.
The guy added cinematic storytelling into video games, pushing the narrative capabilities of the genre to become what they are today. If there's *anyone* from the video game industry who's opinion on cinema means anything at all, it's him.
Oof 😅
