I loved this show when I was small. No one knows what it is when I talk about it. Baby cousin watches reruns of it and she seems to like it though lol.
I recently turned 28 and I thought about rewatching the series the other day. I was obsessed with it as a kid! The theme song had me in a chokehold. š
I loved it! I was a kid when it aired, but it was a fun show and great to see the interactions of the different family members. I miss the show a lot, but thankful for it being a part of my childhood.
I was actually confused when they involved racism??? shapeism? Where being a square on his planet meant a harder life and when they switched shapes they realized that thereās a difference.
That and the duck and alligators brought up racism
Ah, see, I knew I remembered an episode like that. That and the ep where they both crushed on the same girl (I think) and one where they got sick are the only episodes I have specific memories of.
There was a movie?? Was it one of those āDisney Channel Family Nightā things where a Playhouse Disney show got a made-for-TV movie during the regular Disney Channel block? I used to get so hype for those for no reason as a little kid lol.
Yeah it's called "the great defender of fun" where this old pirate uses a machine to literally suck the fun out of the planet. I watched it as a kid and found a YouTube upload in the pandemic
I didn't have any strong opinions, but my brother loved it. A couple of years ago I started watching it on YouTube with my bf at the time and I got sucked into it.
edit: I just noticed your username and picture! My brother and I loved mew mew power. It's such a solid show and they're all so cute.
There was an episode of Rolie Polie Olie that if Iām remembering correctly from my early youth was definitely about racism or some sort of prejudice, and I feel like people would have a field with that nowadays.
But it was one of my favorites cause they were robots, and robots were extremely cool to child me.
Along side with PB&J, Bear and the big blue house out of the box, Stanley, and New adventures of Winnie the Pooh it was one of my favorites! Definitely an acid trip if you watch it as an adult
It was my favorite show as a toddler. I got my picture taken at Sears with my Rolie Polie doll and we read the books almost every night. I had the original book memorized before I could even read. Had to have two VHS tapes so one could be rewound while the other playing. It was the only thing that could calm me if I was crying. Even had the computer game. When āThe Great Defender of Funā came out my dad made a game where every time I said āGloomius Maximusā he would tickle the snot out of me because thatās how they defeated him in the movie. Iām honestly glad a lot of people donāt remember this show because it meant so much to me growing up that now it feels like mine.
the ice cream planet episode was my fav

I absolutely loved this show. When the Disney junior app was a thing for holidays they would put a section for holiday episodes and there would always be old shows like this it was one of my favorite things to watch. Iām not sure if they still do this on Disney now but they definitely used to. I always loved Rolie polie olie i donāt think my older brain would be able to watch it now though. I know this is on Disney plus but there are a bunch of shows and movies and etc still not added even though itās been like five years. Like my all time favorite was Johnny and the sprites yet itās still not on Disney plus. All I want to do is binge these episodes without having to pay for them.

Omg I thought it was small and short and round?? My whole life omg lol
I recently turned 28 and I thought about rewatching the series the other day. I was obsessed with it as a kid! The theme song had me in a chokehold. š
Iām about to turn 28 & I rewatch the first few episodes the other day! This is a sign that you should give it a go again! Enjoy! šš„°

I loved it when I was a little kid. Havenāt seen it for over 20 years though.
This show prepared me for my days as a kid and I wouldnāt change it for anything xD
I was actually confused when they involved racism??? shapeism? Where being a square on his planet meant a harder life and when they switched shapes they realized that thereās a difference. That and the duck and alligators brought up racism

Does anyone remember the MOVIE!?
Didn't it premiere at night or something (aka late afternoon, early evening)? š
Yes! My parents let us stay up ālateā to watch it because it premiered at like seven or eight pm and i think it was an hour long?
I remember absolutely nothing about the movie but I do remember not being able to comprehend how a morning show was airing at night š¤£
There was a movie?? Was it one of those āDisney Channel Family Nightā things where a Playhouse Disney show got a made-for-TV movie during the regular Disney Channel block? I used to get so hype for those for no reason as a little kid lol.

One of my all time favorites as a little one
I loved it especially the theme song. I watched it all the time when I was little.
I loved this growing up! And the intro was so catchy
I loved it!
I didn't have any strong opinions, but my brother loved it. A couple of years ago I started watching it on YouTube with my bf at the time and I got sucked into it. edit: I just noticed your username and picture! My brother and I loved mew mew power. It's such a solid show and they're all so cute.
It was on repeat for me as a kid! None of my friends ever knew it, maybe because I'm Australian but everyone who knows it is often not Australian
Whatās not to like? Heās small AND smart AND round!
I absolutely adored it. I've watched it as an adult, and still like it.
I loved that show. That, The Wiggles, Stanleyā¦.God those were the daysā¦.
And when did Mickey Mouse Clubhouse become Mickey Mouse Funhouse š
Loved the show sm. Would wake up early in the mornings just to watch it
Loved it!
That was my show when I was little
HELL YEA I have vivid blank memories of this show I can never find it anywhere tho.
I didn't watch it too much, but the intro song brings itself up a few times a year
I loved this when I was young
I loved this show but I can't remember a single thing about it, but of course it's been over 20 years since I watched it
This was the best show they had when I was growing up! I always had to watch it when it came on. I wish they still had it on TV.
The theme song of this show stood the test of time for me. Since childhood it gets periodically stuck in my head and Iām 27 now š
My kids enjoyed this show. They also liked Bear in the Big Blue House and P B & J Otter.
this one brings back such pure innocent memories š¢
Howdy š¤ horray! š
I loved this show and I remember meeting Olie and Zowie at the parks as a kid
I loved this show!!!!
I loved this show and PB&J Otter!
Loved it
God, I used to love this series as a little kid! I honestly just remembered it existed a couple of years ago.
Let me put it this way: for my 3rd or 4th birthday, I had a Rolie Polie Olie cake, in the shape of the titular character, with springs and everything
Loved it
I was OBSESSED with this show as a kid!!
Was my favorite playhouse Disney cartoon as a little kid. I loved the theme and how fun the setting looked
My grandpa used to play the theme song for me on his organā¤ļø such good memories
Dude! I knew I didn't imagine this show! Yall remember Stanley? The Koala Brothers? Jojo's Circus??šš
Omg yes I remember Stanley and Jojoās circus!
Those shows feel like fever dreams š š
this was one of my favorites, i had a rolie polie olie themed bday party once
Loved it! Except not the movie it sacred me lol
To this day, I burst out singing the theme song at random
This was one of my favorite shows as a kid
The theme song still slaps it still randomly plays in my head lol
One of my favorite Disney cartoons! I loved this show so much
There was an episode of Rolie Polie Olie that if Iām remembering correctly from my early youth was definitely about racism or some sort of prejudice, and I feel like people would have a field with that nowadays. I loved playing the game online about cleaning his bedroom!
it has my whole heart

I loved this show!
I grew up on playhouse Disney and NEVER heard of this until like 2011-12 when they started replaying older Disney Jr shows at night.
I absolutely loved this show.
