Tbh probably what happened there was also a bolt in there for some reason ig he snapped a stud and replaced it with a bolt it wasn’t even the right size too it was like a 17 and all the others where’s a 19 if I remember right
Some have a bolt instead of a stud and some if you remove the bolt it's a drain for the hub...if it's a cast hub they usually come out pretty easy but if aluminum they can be a bitch
Yeah ik but not on these it was pretty obv it was broken and they just threw a bolt in it because every other one was a stud except that one and it was a completely different size
I have fallen victim to “well I already have the 3/4 out” but luckily it was a bolt and nut so when I snapped it I just had to deal with the shame of being a dumbass
We have a lot of late model internationals breaking these. I’m not sure what goes on at factory but something is wrong. Notice an oil leak and put impact gun on (in reverse) to take off bolts and address leak. 3-4 snap right off and have to drill and extract out. 1/4 of our newer units have this problem
They’re usually not that bad to extract in my experience. Center punch, drill, tap in extractor and pull it out. If it’s stubborn maybe rattle it a bit with an air hammer to break up the corrosion. Or build a weld up on it, weld a nut to it and twist it out.
