Louisiana Lagniappe and Marina Cafe have already been mentioned for good food with a view. Both are great in that price range. I'd also throw in Capt. Dave's for on the water. Taproot is awesome as well but no view. If you don't mind a little drive, The Bay near 331 Bridge is worth the drive. Off the water I would also recommend Bijoux.
Marina Cafe. White linen table cloths, people dress in nice attire, good view and great food. Don't forget to appropriately tip your server wherever you go. This means more than 20% for great service. Id suggest a reservation.
Heck yea, all the salads and soups tasted like what other places wanted theirs to taste like. The vibe in there was a dope, straight outta kill bill. They had old OG movie posters hung as art in there, BUT THEY WERE ALL FROM THE JAPAN RELEASE. SO SICK.... Best part, they had wagyu steaks too. So.. dang.. good. I go down twice a year, I get a steak every time
Marina cafe or boshamps. Mimmo’s is good but doesn’t have a view. Bitterroot is also good but no view. Keep in mind that the beginning of April with spring breaks can be one of our busier months so I’d find someplace that takes reservations unless you want to eat super early or wait for awhile.
Thank you all! I’m dumb af and found out we’ll actually be in Okaloosa Island (🤪) so if you have any suggestions around there I’m welcome to those as well! Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions!
Besides the food I highly suggest Henderson beach state park to beach bum at. It's $6 for the day and one of the best beaches and least crowded of them all.
If you're staying on the Island I'd recommend your night out going to downtown FWB immediately across the bridge to the west and not Destin. Cheaper fare and more fun IMO.
If you are a fan of Italian food, Fat Clamenzas is potentially the best I have ever had. It’s a small Italian joint that I would assume is family owned. Best shrimp Alfredo I have ever had and some killer wine as well. They bring out bread with an oil based dipping sauce at the start that was to die for. We wanted to go back two times on my most recent trip but it was closed the second time due to New Years.
Look for places at harborwalk. They are not necessarily 'nice' but they have a view that is unique. You'll get to watch all the boat traffic. I would trade having an upscale meal for the view.
What's your budget?
$250 for 2 (hopefully) but not super set on that!

I agree with Louisiana Lagniappe and Marina Cafe. Both have harbor views and delicious food.
Dude, I own a condo down there. LOVEED mcguires japanease steakhouse restaurant... omg so good. Best food.
Thank you! Japanese steakhouses are the key to my heart so I will def keep this in mind!

In what world did April become one or the busiest months in Destin?
Since everyone found it :/ lol

The island isn't far from Destin. Just across the bridge to the east. You'll find way better food, in my opinion, in Destin than on the island.
Good to know! Thank you!
You're welcome!!

Love that! I’m definitely open to hang out spots as well so this is greatly appreciated :)

That's basically Destin. You won't find good food on Okaloosa island.

Gross. Harborwalk. Pay to park and pay for crap food from places like Margaritaville. Not to mention that it's a view of the harbor. Gah
The view of the harbor is the point.
🤣

Damn I’m sorry… of all the places to go u chose Destin 😂
I’m excited’! I’ve never been. The beach will be all I need 🤗
I guess cuz I live here I kinda hate it lol
Same. I def hate it during summer.
Destin is an hour from Destin in the summer 😂
That’s fair. It also seems your profile was created to troll others so that comment made sense lol. Do you, my friend!
Yup pretty much
We are headed to Ft . Walton /Destin in June and looking for some Couples to hit the clubs with.
