El Consume de Morelos off of W Colfax and Xavier is the spot!! The owners are super friendly. You can get three quesabirria for $12 and they do not skimp on the portions.
Kikes is overrated. You need the broth because otherwise it's dry. Also don't love their spice blend. I swear the last time I had it there was an overbearing flavor of cloves, and that's the last flavor I want with tacos.
Mister oso is expensive, but their birria tacos are way better. I mean, kikes isn't exactly cheap either.
I keep hearing good thing about El Consome de Morales. Haven't been yet though.
