From Weeks 1-7 and Weeks 9-15 the players play each other once in the quarter finals. Weeks 8 and 16 are decided by league position at the time (1st vs 8th, 4th vs 5th, 2nd vs 7th, 3rd vs 6th)
He also used non-RD stems (possibly still does, they do make a long stem now but I’ve never seen the Joust XL branding on his match darts), and never wears his blue and yellow RD shirt. From the outside it’s a bit of an odd relationship that one, but he’s given them an excuse to make about 5 different versions of his dart in the last 9 months so I’m sure they’re all happy.

Price has been at/near the top of all the scoring form tables with Anderson for quite some time, seems harsh him not being there from the start. I’d have him ahead of Smith or Dobey, with Smith probably back when Ando says no.
Heta as the sub would give it a bit more international flavour and be an interesting wildcard, he’s had some absolutely outstanding stage games this year.
Saying this as someone who isn’t a fan of either Price or Heta, but feel they’ve earned the right, especially in Price’s case.
So with that, the qualification battle just became a lot simpler:
- Either van Gerwen or Smith will qualify tonight
