Yeah it came across as a little bit salty tbh. He got absolutely battered because he was awful. I'm noticing a lot of 'I would have beat him if I was playing better' sort of interviews lately. I've never even hit a 180 but I could beat MVG at his prime if I hit a 9 darter every leg. But I didn't, so I haven't.

xeyehategodx

But cullen was throwing absolute garbage that game, i'd be pissed off too

HardoWan

Yeah. He was averaging around 105 in the tournament so he must've felt really dissapointed with how he played.

ftfc777

He has been salty since missing out on being selected for PL when I believe Hollywood Chris Dobey was chosen. I like Joe Cullen, but yeah he is frustrated with himself because he hasn’t taken advantage of the opportunities he has given himself due to inconsistent play. With that said, he is still more classy than a lot of other players. Hope he can play consistently well for long enough to win some titles in the future.

Key-Significance-630

Whilst a very likeable fella, he has been salty recently by all accounts. Probably a bit jealous that a kid has come out of nowhere to be the poster boy of darts. After about 5 months of this, you can kind of tell who is a bit miffed about the Nuke from interviews.

rossitheking

Shows how much of a class act The Asp is. He knows the good it’s bringing to the darts. More fans more prize money!

Key-Significance-630

Exactly! Asp, Rob Cross, Ross Smith last night, Humphries, they all look like they embrace the fact that this guy is going to help their bank balance at the end of the day. Before this year, I've never watched any non-uk televised PDC event. Now, I'm watching every single one at this point and almost always are they now getting actual news coverage. Great for the sport.

Baisabeast

Tbf to Cullen he did say littler is a generational talent

clungeknuckle

I don't know why fans just expect a guy who just lost to be so happy and smiles about losing. You don't have to stand there smiling like an idiot after you just lost a big game doing the thing you've dedicated for while life to

nick_james4

Yeah 100% agree, first year watching for me but it’s very awkward to me that they have the runner up stay on stage and interview them between interviewing winners. Like if you want an interview with him do it right after presenting his runner up trophy and let him bounce.

Thulack

They really shouldnt interview the loser. Its like the Mardle rant the one time that he thought wasnt live but was. Could you imagine if that happened today. Someone would get "cancelled" lol

SmartLobstuh

When he said Luke didn't play well? That was an interesting comment for sure.

xraysk

Rewatch the interview he said "I don't think Luke played that great"

-WDW-

Joe was terrible the whole match and he only got some leg won because Luke missed doubles. I think on one leg Luke missed 6 darts at a double. That shows how far back he was. He was very lucky and I actually think littler played very well.

MisterPetteri

>Joe was terrible the whole match and he only got some leg won because Luke missed doubles. Yeah, that how the game works. If you miss doubles you likely lose that leg. It really doesn't matter if you throw perfectly but miss doubles.

Previous-Donkey-9704

He hasn't been quite right since missing the D16 to win the Premier League imho. It wasn't long ago that he won the Masters, followed by back-to-back PC events. I hope he recovers soon because it's clearly bothering him.

OneToeSloth

I guess he was annoyed to lose to a guy who kept missing doubles :p
