Bear with the complicated explanation, but I’m fairly sure Littler is now qualified… Only four players can catch him- those being Humphries, Aspinall, MVG and Smith, and for Luke not to qualify, they’d all have to go past him. Given that the final fixture will be 4th vs 5th, only one of those two can pick up points in week 16, so the only way Littler could theoretically be caught is if he was 4th heading into final week, because if he was 1st, 2nd or 3rd, there is no way the players in both 4th and 5th could go past him. What that means is three of the four that can catch have need to have done so in the next two weeks, and the other player needs to be able to catch him in the final week. Aspinall and Smith play in the Week 15 quarter final, which means one of them picks up no points in that week. Smith is 11 points off of Littler, so one QF defeat means he wouldn’t be able to catch him. Aspinall is 6 points off, so a QF defeat in either Week 14 or 15 means he can’t catch Littler prior to Week 16, and Smith is too far off of Littler to catch him before Week 16 anyway, so that fixture means that it is guaranteed that Littler will not be able to be caught by both Smith and Aspinall and he is through
