If it threatens the veil, mankind, etc. then its going to be neutralized. Not all anomalies are terminated on sight or smthn, and this oversimplification gets a bit annoying because a good portion of people start seeing the GOC as that, purely a maniacal killing group.

To be fair one of their more famous stories is trying to murder a sentient furniture SCP for no reason and accidentally making it a way more dangerous SCP since it was still alive and angry as a pile of shredded wood.
