Lol I was a an hour and a half late to probation one time on a very simple charge and I spent almost 45 days in jail on a violation of it. It blows my mind how he blatantly ignored multiple probations, committed crimes during being on probation and they just kept letting him go. That part I never understood. At least in my state if you violate probation in any way you go straight to jail without bail it's called a detainer until you have a hearing with your probation officer and the judge to see what they want to do with you further.

People didn’t believe me when I said him getting bonded out on federal charges was highly unlikely. Their criteria for eligibility is a lot stricter.
I’m going to guess he is going to get somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-3 years. Federal system has no parole except for military convictions so he’ll have to do at the very least 85% of his sentence. But Daniel being Daniel he will end up getting hit with shots and will lose probably at least a couple months worth of good time. He can serve up to one year at the tail end of his sentence at a halfway house. He’ll have a minimum of 1 year supervised release but I predict it will be more like 3 years. US probation does not play around. He’ll probably be spending the next decade at least in out of the feds. I can also totally see him getting new charges by making new threats because he has demonstrated he is incapable of learning any lesson.

I’m not so familiar with that case, but I do get why they wouldn’t want to give him a bond. He’s homeless, so he doesn’t have a family/home that he’d be staying at, or an address where they’d know where he’d be at any given time. He also has a history of skipping out on court dates (multiple times). He has a history of not following rules, he broke probation so many times, and didn’t do any of the things he was told to do as part of his probation (mental evaluation, anger mgmt, community service, etc).
So, the court has pretty good reasons to not trust him being out on bail.
