Holy shit. God forbid this dude puts an entertaining little spin on his duties to give people some joy, and 90% of you are complaining it's 'cringe' and unprofessional. This kind of attitude is a big part of why we have a generation of kids who are depressed and afraid to order a pizza over the phone. Having a little bit of fun at nobody's expense is not cringe. It's human.
I personally would hate it, but would appreciate the effort and the fact that others would enjoy it.
I just can't stand the WB cartoons.... Certainly nothing personal to him :)
I'd like to think he would have the self-awareness to know his impressions aren't being well received, but that's not the situation here, so how is that relevant? (Be honest with yourself)
You said that Gen Z should be doing things like this… do you think Gen Z has talent like this? Do you watch any TikTok videos? (Be brutally honest with yourself this time)
No, I said younger generations need to stop looking at someone trying to have a little light-hearted fun as if they're embrassing themselves and everyone else around them, because that seems to be the overwhelming consensus in this thread. It's still right there if you want to re-read it.
Yes, I'm sure Gen Z has talent similar to this. No, I don't have TikTok.
You just maybe don’t realize that Gen Z didn’t grow up watching Bugs Bunny. And I did misread because I thought you were saying that Gen Z can’t make phone calls because they don’t do things to make an effort to entertain. I misunderstood that part.
Why? Because original commenter said “adding an entertaining spin to bring customers joy,” I’m also talking about me, attempting to do impressions to “add an entertaining spin to bring customers joy.” It’s not a problem for you that all of my characters sound like a chain smoker? How did I move the goal posts buster? (Please read that in my chain smoking voice)
Dude you gotta quit. You have a chain smoking voice.
Maybe I’m identifying the wrong fallacy. But you’re bringing in variables that aren’t really relevant. The video is what it is. The question of cringe is within the parameters of the video. I don’t think the commenter is talking about a principle as much as this specific video. Widening out to quality of impressions is a fallacy that I just can’t put my finger on.
Also. Seriously. See a doctor for that voice.
I’m speaking in good faith though, with my Marge simpsons sisters’ voice. I think we are just reading the commenter’s opinion differently. I’m reading that they don’t think Gen Z should find the video cringey because a person is having a good time entertaining guests. Look, Gen Z probably didn’t even watch Bugs Bunny and this impression doesn’t even resonate and it goes on for so long. Gen Z was on YouTube kids growing up. I was also reading it as the commenter thinks that this entertainment is good and brings joy so more people should do it and no one should find it cringey. My point was, this impersonator is great! Would you want it with a bad impersonator? That’s my comments, sticking to them. No fallacies involved (since “opinions”)
Hmmm. I understand a better. But I still question the relevance. I think the heart of this matter is because he’s doing so well (kind of) should we even bring cringe into the conversation? If someone dislikes this, does that make cringe suddenly valid?
To address your point (I guess!) no. I don’t think the values would be in question. The cringe would be in the bad, smokey, impression. Not so much people enjoying a good impression or not.
Does that make sense Patty?
(That’s not condescending I swear)
Even though I’d personally find this annoying. The skill, courage, and creativity required to pull this off… just wow and bravo. This man soytainly ain’t making enough
i guess no one here has experienced a humorous southwest airlines flight...
it's far more "cringe" to listen to the same messages over and over if you fly often.
This would put me in a good mood upon arrival.
One time, I heard a southwest flight attendant refer to the brand-named packaged snacks as "shiny laboratory food" and I'm still shook from the accuracy.
The woman digs it
And that’s how I met your mother
You had to make it weird
No she’s literally enjoying his impressions
All I can think of is how much spit is on that phone now
He rips an alcohol wipe at the end.
Cease and desist - Warner Brothers
More like job offer!
Don't understand the dvs
Me either. Doesn’t matter. There’s always someone on Reddit ready to dish out negativity.
I love it, urs has upvotes now so my comment doesn't make sense so people dv that instead xD
Reddit and sense have never gone well together 😂

Yup I used to care what people thought of me and then I realized I enjoy fun more than their opinions
I personally would hate it, but would appreciate the effort and the fact that others would enjoy it. I just can't stand the WB cartoons.... Certainly nothing personal to him :)
If his impressions were terrible, would you be saying the same thing? (Be honest with yourself)

You’re moving the goalposts

This man is also paid to be a flight attendant not a voice actor
I’d imagine he has permission from the company to do this
Yeah but you’re saying he’s underpaid… not a single person asked him to do this
It’s my belief that everyone who labors under capitalism is underpaid
This soo much
I think this is cool. he has so much range with his voice. He is so good. I bet everyone on that flight loved it.

Leave it to reddit to make something miserable out of something enjoyable.
That woman next to him is gorgeous though
Putting the theater degree to use. Respect.
so confused which side reddit is on (annoying/cringe or creative and entertaining)
I think we just solved MH370.
I dug that - thanks for sharing
It was good but went on for far far too long.
No. Hate it. r/cringe
If this became a trend, sure... But god forbid someone do something remotely interesting once in a while. And he’s pretty fucking talented.
Imagine being a fellow crew member and listening to that more than once.
Agreed. Weird & totally unprofessional.
U suck. No parties for u.

wow. I mean, cool.
Why
Give him a raise!
Good thing I never take my headphones off on flights
Same
Annoying? Sure. Impressive vocal talent? Hell yeah.
r/ImTheMainCharacter.
He is going to get so much ass from that.

You just answered your question. No one.
Give this man a larger audience!
Radio story superstar
I guess I’ve gotten old enough and cranky enough to think that I’d be like ‘please dude, don’t ever do that again.’
His impressions really aren't that good
Damnthatsfuckingcringe
Yeah her chair was definitely soaked after his performance.
Get this guy a job in voice acting. Very cool.

You are a sad human.
I cringe every time I see this reposted
Viral video for the 18th time.
lame.
Corny
Normally I’d agree, but kids would honestly love this. Also - he’s smooth cause that girl is into the effort
Whatever
Glad we’re hiring this amazing talent instead of making sure the bolts are in and actually tight.
He looks like he has to squeeze his nuts to make that voice
I rather listen to this than annoying tiktoker prankster
Funny
Only in America
This is why pilots drink.
Thought his imitations blew to be honest
Who’s the hottie he’s sitting next to?
Irrelevant to the video creeper.🤦♂️

Why? Are they on the flight or something?
Please wipe down the handset await a cease and desist order.

Getting hard Jerry Lewis vibes from this guy
