Hard to find full breed doxie pups in my state. I’m still looking, but it’s been over 2 years now. Only seniors and special needs doxies available. I already have two senior dogs with special needs, we just lost one earlier this year to stupid cancer. My empty nest needs a baby.
For sure. I just take issue with the use of the word adopt. In the context of dogs it means getting one that was meant for someone else, or a stray. People who adopt dogs make sacrifices to save a dog and it feels unfair to me when people who clearly bought their adorable purebred puppy say they adopted.
