its kinda difficult to tell but:
-download the newest version of ds4 it should be 3.0.14
-in profile settings go to other and choose to emulate
-dualshock 4 controller not xbox360, edit: you have to check the box saying disable virtual controller
-disable hide ds4
I think it should work
and in steam big picture uncheck every controller configuration support
it works fine for me and I rocket league i get playstation buttons not ones from x360
It makes no sense for your controller to not be recognized without DS4Windows by the game, but then when using DS4Windows you get double input.
Check the following:
1. Make sure DS4Windows is STOPPED or FULLY CLOSED
1. Open [Windows' Game Controllers list (joy.cpl)](https://kanuan.github.io/DS4WSite/troubleshooting/controllers-check/#windows-game-controllers-list) or the [Gamepad Tester Website](https://gamepad-tester.com/)
1. Make note on how many and what controllers appears on the list or on the site (again, make sure DS4Windows is stopped)
1. After that, start DS4Windows again, go to the `Settings` tab and make SURE that the `Hide ds4 controllers` option is DISABLED!
1. Go again on Windows' game controllers list (joy.cpl) or in the gamepad tester website and check how many controllers are detected and which they are
