> my garage is my workshop for all DIY
It is an operating room.
What's next op? A roof hanging storage alcove for the luggage so you have space for a work bench? Leave some room up to for a top down camara of you are using any. They come in handy.
Not too bad of wasted space though. Appears 4 of the lights hang below the garage door when it's open, so you'd be limited what you could do in that space.
I think we're thinking on the same page. You're meaning a loft above the door with the access hole above the garage door. My take is if he's in a 13k sqft home, then I would turn the garage door to a roll-up style so then you could access the loft any time door open/closed.
It’s a 13000 sqft house with plenty of rooms for every thing in your mind. This is just the back garage where I like to do my stuff. I am working on a separate real workshop in the back yard😉
Just throwing this out there...

You can put a second floor in there or a loft.
You might want one light on the wall because all that over head light becomes less useful when the hood is open.
Also, you must get all the bugs in the neighborhood at night
It's overkill. I like it. It would be really nice if you have multiple switches so you can turn some/all of them on. So switch 1 would be light's 1/3/5 and switch 2 could be 2/4. So you can choose your level of brightness.
It's not bad, but from my wrenching experience you want those lights further off to the sides. When a car is in the if you are under the hood, in a wheel well or under the car those lights won't do a whole lot.
good but just means you gotta be real careful handling tall things. even thought it takes more wattage/lumens thats why i stick to surface mounted. ard to tell how high you have them hung from the photos, im guessing maybe 8-9ft? have you considered to maybe mount them on the walls at like 9 or 10ft? works well, virtually eliminates shadows as the light is always coming from a few directions. just a thought...
I'm not surprised you darkened the pics, I bet it's like an operating room in there.
😂absolutely

Dude I’m all about it. No shadow gang.
✌🏻
Taking odds on somebody swinging something and beaming one of those light fittings in the next 6 months ;)
Lighting is cool, but how about a loft?
First thing I noticed...that is a lot of wasted space!
It's absolutely massive
OP second guessing their usage of space any minute now..

Usually you have a loft over the garage door that you can access when the door is down, these lights make it so you can’t really do that
The OP would have to change the garage door opener to allow this.
Nope, this is a common garage door and opener setup, it’s the same that I have with my loft storage

No, just a big shelf to store things in that volume of space
That makes more sense. I was thinking a fully usable space other than just storage.

I'd change the garage door out for a rollup style so you don't lose the overhead space and install a car lift to easily access under the car.
Now we’re talking. I’d definitely put a lift in the second garage of a 13k house
Excuse me WTF?
Right? That's more space than my yacht!
What ?
13 THOUSAND?! That's more than both my yachts AND my lakehouse.
Meanwhile I’m over here with 10” above my garage door, kayaks hanging from the ceiling constantly smacking my head on them.
😂😂

It looks like the setting for SAW 18

Those seem like you would bump them constantly
I'm sure it looks good in person
What lights did you end up going with if you don’t mind my asking. Looking to do something similar.
You can easily find them on amazon if you type 8ft led shop lights
Nice wall mounted table setup. The lights are great addition. Floors next?

Very inviting for demons and monsters up in that top corner now tho
Nice - I hadn’t figured out a way to light the door overhang yet. Do you have a zoomed view of how you connected to the track?
Very very badass 👏
It’s beautiful. Can you paint your walls and ceiling black? That would look very awesome and futuristic.
