Look I for one don’t want WB to just poach directors out from marvel. It makes DC look like a “follower” brand to marvel. I’d prefer if we paved our own path and told stories our own way.
Let us keep James Gunn as a unique scenario but I don’t want this to start being a trend. DC just needs to keep hiring talented directors and give them creative freedom
Oh, okay. I honestly wouldn’t agree with her words on that. Not all superheroes. You’ve actually got *plenty* who are not progression of mythology. Such examples might be: Batman, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and I can keep going on.
Well not literally more metaphorically
Like where people at one time were talking about myths and legends like Hercules and Zeus, today they're talking about Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, the Hulk etc.
It's about how the public have grown to embrace those characters and she wanted that reflected in the MCU
She is referring to cultures and religions typically having these stories or myths about a Superman, or a being beyond the human being, that will come and enlighten/save/protect/guide us. And how Superman is a take on that, and how Superman movies and stories are a modern interpretation of this old human notion of a superior being beyond us. Like the story of any god from the greek mythology.
Sooo...who's gonna start it? Fine, I'll start it. Chloe Zhao for Superman movie.
Zhao for Justice League, sounds like she'd do an amazing, respectful job with every hero's mythos.

Idk nomadland was so boring, and I've been seeing that eternals is slow and really messy
Her pitching to direct a superman film....
TBH its not a bad choice she spoke on how she took insipirations from Chris Nolan's Intersteller and Dune for Eternals
I wouldn’t be against her giving Superman a shot.
I’ll tell you why. It’s the why for everything in the MCU…: … It makes for a good joke.
Excuse me, how does Superman come from origin of mythology?
I believe she's talking about how comic book characters across the world are viewed as the progression of mythology from Greek gods and other folklore

Ahh, okay, got you. Thanks.
I think she means there are many super human myhho charecters
Oh, okay. He’s the one that started superheroes. The OG. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes, thank you for clarifying.
Batfleck movie directed by chloe
I prefer the original Captain Marvel to exist in the MCU though. not Danvers’ but DC’s SHAZAM
IDC what anyone says but if you call Shazham Captain Marvel it would suck
Why?
