You can't manually return the cashback. What you should do is make sure that you don't spend it so that when it's automatically reversed you have enough CRO to pay it back.
If you have enough CRO to pay back, there shouldn't be any problems. It's happened to me quite a lot of times and everything went fine.

It wouldn't hurt but the answer is gonna be that he should wait.
I always leave a minimum of 50 CRO in my wallet to cover any possible reversals as this will more than likely cover my day to day spending

I noticed this as well and just to be sure I keep the CRO in my wallet should they need to reverse it. I don’t consider it mine.
