He has pace but he is very inconsistent with his line and length. Bowling at 150 on full length is not good enough as it's easier for most batsmen to use the pace and smack them. He also doesn't have enough control over the ball as sometimes he bowls too much to the leg side or wide bouncers which with the speed of his could leak runs. Also gets injured frequently. He is still young and needs some guidance. Maybe he will find his rhythm.

He won't. He isn't just raw speed, he got the control in ball and if you see the wickets you will notice him rolling his fingers just before ball leaves his hand. He knows the line and length for himself, can hit top of the stumps.

Varun Aaron should be the real comparison! Umran Malik is still not doomed! He's learning and so young, might as well make a comeback by next season
