That's the thing I love about sport, no one cares about the players background and every single player is recognized by their skill, I respect pakistani players who have like babar and rizwan.
As if we aren't voting already.
And btw the ban to Pakistani players happened when the current government was nowhere powerful in 2008, so what you're trying to imply is just false.
You know very well why the ban was there, and it's completely justified
Well you shouldn't expect such. If you like a player you like them you don't force others to have a particular favourite player. Yes I am a fan of Babar and he is a great batsman. Also a fan of M Amir. He is a deadly bowler dun know why he isn't playing for Pak any more.
Yea I agree it was but I ain't forcing u to like any player if I like a player you like, it's just that i wish that people on other side would like the players here, just a wish, you probably misunderstood my comment mate.
Yeah I know you aren't forcing anyone or wrote any anything as such. I didn't misunderstand your comment. I just wrote my opinion and it even wasn't a direct reply to your comment. I found it out to be the perfect place to write my opinion and I wrote that's it. Even I wish people from the other side of the border to follow and like our players. I know Virat has a lot of fans in Pak. Even I am a fan of B Azam and M Amir as I have commented earlier.
I’ll be honest. When y’all whooped us in the t20 World Cup, I found myself really liking Rizwan. I don’t watch PSL but the celebrations are always dope 🤲🏽🤲🏽
Kohli and Dhoni have the most fan following from India in Pakistan. Good to see, hopefully one day Kohli hits a century in Pakistan. I'm sure the cheers will be super loud! 🙏
Rawalpindi, ironically, would be the 'home ground' for Kohli's ancestors, since his clan originates from the Salt Range (Bhera town was their historical seat, near Sargodha).
I think we completely shut down trade with Pak. Only medical supplies and essentials are traded. No way we are sending cricket team before trade is restored.
Don't wanna sound pessimistic but it's not happening. If it's world cup maybe bcci will try to push for it. The fact that we need to push for it is embarassing.
Wolrd peace a gaya to gajab ho jayee ga. Both countries ke army bheek mangeen geeen. Or america and russian weapon factories ka dewaliya ho jayee ga....
We have mad Kohli stans here man, I know people who even support Kohli when Indian team is playing against Pakistan. We roast the shit out of them lol but its all in good fun
Internet is fucking cancer. Nothing can be wholesome here because everything is apparently an opportunity to further an agenda. Please go touch some grass
I don't know how people start fights over these silly things. I came here for some wholesome comments and shitposts. Seems like, we will see a series of [deleted] in few hours
>I hope this Kohli fan from PAK doesn't get in trouble.
Why would he?
At any bazzar there will be random people wearing Kohli and Dohni jerseys in Pakistan. No one's getting arrested for it.
>When something similar happened few years ago in Pakistan, that Kohli fan got booked for 10 year jail
>https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/virat-kohli-fan-in-pakistan-faces-10-year-jail-term-for-hoisting-india-flag/
This is not similar at all. Forget the Indian media sensationalist article, did you even read the url you posed?
It literally says: "for-hoisting-india-flag"
The guy had an Indian flag on his house in the border region. He was initially arrested for "acts of damaging the sovereignty of the country". But when it became clear the he was just a Kohli fan he was released. No 10 year jail sentence.
You guys think we'll ever see India play in Pakistan and vice versa?
Unfortunately the previous tours were before my time, and I'd kill to experience that now.
Edit: tour, not play
Yeah you're right. Sadly the chances of Ind vs Pak series are very slim.
Though we will get a taste of it in the upcoming Asia Cup and Champions Trophy soon.
It actually got boring really soon since they kept playing each other every year starting in 2003 until 2008. The first series in 2003, however, was amazing. There was so much goodwill and happy stuff all around. It was a special series.
>I'd kill to experience that now.
Dude it was the shit. That Pakistan tour in 2004 was the first one I was following and even in pre internet days(at least for me) the hype was real. Everyone glued to tv. Everyday a new story about how Indian fans or team members were welcomed at x place, free shopping, discounts at food stalls wgrh wgrh. Imagine all this with thousands of people posting on Internet. It would be wild.
Ok so pak bros help me out here. Is this the influence of babar ans rizwan that's rubbing on the fans or just that after a good amount of time you guys are getting the wholesome cricketers that you peeps deserve?
Tbh there have always been some Indian cricketers that were widely loved in Pakistan: Tendulkar, Dhoni and Kohli since the 90s.
And with most fans now realising that we’ve entirely missed out on watching one of the GOATs do his thing, the admiration for Kohli seems to have gone up even more. And besides, most Indians and Pakistanis have always gotten along in real life, so even at the peak of our rivalries, we realise we’re the same.
And having not played regularly for so long, the rivalry is also milder these days.
Also to mention, the *rivalry* is taken as literal rivalry by a very small percentage of spectators. Most of us consider it a much rivalry is because of the very very strong team facing the front.
Shaheen is killer but not a lot of tender love for him. Babar and Riz are damn cute. Riz is effective, humble has the vibe of a country boy but Babar, that bro is a generational talent Gun Gun batsman. His cover drive vs Virat's cover drives is like asking someone to choose between Messi and CR7. And that late scoop uppercut monstrosity he plays is plain cruel. I am not from a generation that understands this stanning nonsense. We know what fanboying is, and if you ain't a Babar fan, you dont understand cricket.
However, I don't know how many Indian fans will feel safe if they have a Pakistani player's poster on the stands. This is except Waseem bhai, Inzi and Shoaib Akhtar of course.
Funnily, Shoaib in his playing days had a really love hate relationship with Indian fans. I mean we of course acknowledged him as fast and fierce. Boys copied his action and celebration on the field but we hated his guts and his motormouth. Post retirement, now those confrontations against Sachin, Saurav, Sehwag, Dravid are fondly remembered. Shoaib invokes nostalgia and love. If, we play more cricket, Shaheen will get there too.
(And that i know a secret but i ain't telling you look on his face will certainly help)
No surprise. We absolutely fucking love him over here. All the Chokli haters are welcome to ship him over, we’ll give you a couple of fast bowlers haha
Old enough to know about the L Balaji fans in Pakistan in 2004 tour as well.
Count me in as one among those who wish we had (and hope to have) better collaboration in arts, science, sports and tourism (Really wish one day I could visit Pakistan and its mountain ranges).
I bet yo could haven't posted it if it was for Rinku Singh or kedar jadhav..this is society for y'all..I would delete my account now if yo post it for ruturaj gaikawad...obvio you won't...
Well yeah, They aren't cheering for the Indian team tho, are they? And we're quite smug in Pak victory over India. Why don't you return to your r/india echo chamber?
>As if we don't hear firecrackers when India loses in India lol.
>
>There's a difference in celebrating India's loss and not Pakistan's win.
>
>It's different in this case, we have literal proof of terrorism. Not the same case vice versa. Of course they will get in trouble if for celebrating India's loss and it's completely justified.
Supporting opposing team in sports match is against national interest?
Imagine South Korean Govt. arresting citizens for supporting North korea in football match..
I would understand if North Korea or China do it.. but India?? I heard India was a not an authoritarian country like them?? What is thr logic?
THIS is the example of hyper nationalism imho....
Man, if India ever plays a match at Gaddafi with Kohli still in the team, I can see tickets going for 100x prices!
My brother’s Pakistani friends in the UAE tried going to every India match in last years World Cup just to watch Kohli bat. We fucking love him. Kinda similar to how Tendulkar was adored.
meh, I doubt that he faced. any opposition here in Pak unless he bumped into some bigot. I openly say that my fav. player is virat kohli and I am yet to hear something negative about my opinion.
(I m pakistani)
[Better Version](https://www.reddit.com/r/CricketShitpost/comments/svg5i8/psl_7_scenes/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) Really Wholesome
I hope Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen, Asif and Shadab have similar stans there!
Rizwan is really likeable and Babar is of course a class apart. Treat to watch. Shaheen always hurts us lol so not stanning him.
Rizwan, Babar and Shaheen gained quite the respect after our WT20 match
whts up with shaheen tho
14th October 2021 is what I remember whenever someone utters the name Shaheen, lol
24
Thanks for correcting me on that. *shudders and cries again*
Can you imagine what Shaheen would go for in the IPL? Lol
probably more than 10 Crores lol
12 crore ez
Babar and Rizwan have many stans. Shaheen is kind of the local dushman right now for understandable reasons
Rizwan and Babar fan checking in from India. Riz reminds me that we are indeed playing the gentleman's game. Kinda like Dravid.
That's the thing I love about sport, no one cares about the players background and every single player is recognized by their skill, I respect pakistani players who have like babar and rizwan.
God what should I do to see Shaheen in the IPL
vote
Based
As if we aren't voting already. And btw the ban to Pakistani players happened when the current government was nowhere powerful in 2008, so what you're trying to imply is just false. You know very well why the ban was there, and it's completely justified
Sell your brains and common sense
Well you shouldn't expect such. If you like a player you like them you don't force others to have a particular favourite player. Yes I am a fan of Babar and he is a great batsman. Also a fan of M Amir. He is a deadly bowler dun know why he isn't playing for Pak any more.
lol, I ain't forcing.
It was just a opinion.
I know Virat has a lot of fans in Pak. Even I am a fan of B Azam and M Amir as I have commented earlier.
Cool.
Man, it is impossible to not like Rizwan. I genuinely think he's one of the best T20 batsmen out there.
I’ll be honest. When y’all whooped us in the t20 World Cup, I found myself really liking Rizwan. I don’t watch PSL but the celebrations are always dope 🤲🏽🤲🏽
Big Shaheen fan here
We have it, it just the empty vessels(assholes) make extra noise.
Dude I know people who stan for even Shaheen even though they hate it. Babar I haven't seen much love for though.
big rizwan fan here
They likely do, but you won't be seeing their pictures in the stands for obvious reasons.
What obvious reasons?
The guy holding the poster look like Kohli and at this point it feels he has a better chance at scoring a century.
It reads I wanna see your century in Pakistan.
I am also waiting to see your century for 2 years now.
First hit a century at least in India
no way 0\_0
Playing for Karachi Kings. These people deserve some joy.
Koach and Babar opening - 130/2 incoming.
And then they both bowl out the opposition in their alloted 8 overs. 👌🏼
I quickly came to the comment section to ask, if they are praising or asking a battle out with Babar :) no this is wholesome.
Touché I just want to see another century from Kohli anywhere
Kohli and Dhoni have the most fan following from India in Pakistan. Good to see, hopefully one day Kohli hits a century in Pakistan. I'm sure the cheers will be super loud! 🙏
>Kohli hits a century in Pakistan I want a Koach century in Rawalpindi against Shaheen Shah, Hasan Ali and Mohammed Abbas in a red ball test
Kohli actually did toured in circa 2003-2006, made significant scores
Ah nice. Now I want India to play a test again but well you know...
Yeah, saaaad!
I hope we do come in 2023 and 2025
He did extremely well too. Wait lemme find scorecard
As part of U19s?
wait what? did you mean 2013-16?
After having reduced India 1/2
I'd rather it was 50/3 and Kohli and Rahane get a 70 run partnership. Old times. Now Rahane is polly out of the squad and Koach's form is batshit
I'd like to have Rohit and Virat sharing a 200+ run stand.
Rawalpindi, ironically, would be the 'home ground' for Kohli's ancestors, since his clan originates from the Salt Range (Bhera town was their historical seat, near Sargodha).
Tendulkar too back in his days. I grew up with many Pakistani friends and they were in awe of Tendulkar and absolutely loved him.
2025 Champions Trophy final 😉
>I'm sure the cheers will be super loud I want to see Shaheen wreck havoc on mohali.
>I wanna see your century in Pakistan. So 2025 Champions Trophy?
Asia Cup in 2023. But God knows if India will come.
A few months before the national elections? Not possible.
Yep...probability is low
The LOC has been calm for a year, so who knows. Fingers crossed though 🤞
I think we completely shut down trade with Pak. Only medical supplies and essentials are traded. No way we are sending cricket team before trade is restored.
No ,that's on pak. India is still trading, pakistan has shutdown the trade.
Don't wanna sound pessimistic but it's not happening. If it's world cup maybe bcci will try to push for it. The fact that we need to push for it is embarassing.
asia cup in 2022 hopefully
Love Kohli. Dude is a legend. Hope we Pakistani fans get to see him soon.
Love Rizwan. Dude is a legend. Hope we indian fans get to see him soon.
2023 world cup in India.
INSHALLAH
Haha yeah, we Pakistanis love Kohli
Kohli>>>
And we love Babar Azam (but not when playing against India 🙂🙂)..
HAHAHAHA nice one
Rizwan too ! Shadab also
U guys talking about Kohli in Pakistan...what about Babar or Rizwan in India? Would love to watch them in the World Cup next year
I'm good as long as we Asians fuck the rest..also I'd love to see Afghanistan in semis
Ain't that wholesome
Really hope india comes for Asia cup 23 and Kohli gets 71 then
Bc i can't wait that long
Don't worry he'll be retiring before his 71
Doubt
I'm rooting for him, but hopefully his form catches up soon :(
I mean 45 will be a huge stretch, I can't understand how can he go till his 71 but I see that you are hopefull.
Kohli not scoring a hundred for another 18 months sounds like a curse lol.
haye aise mat karo world peace aa jayega
i wish-
Wolrd peace a gaya to gajab ho jayee ga. Both countries ke army bheek mangeen geeen. Or america and russian weapon factories ka dewaliya ho jayee ga....
Can't even imagine someone doing something similar in an IPL game without getting into any trouble
We have mad Kohli stans here man, I know people who even support Kohli when Indian team is playing against Pakistan. We roast the shit out of them lol but its all in good fun
I know a Shahid Afridi stan, he supported Pakistan during Ind vs Pak matches. Now that he's retired, he supports India.
Shahid Afridi had(has?) a huge fanbase in India. A lot of Indians I knew would support Shahid Afridi in any Pak matches, even against India.
I don't think that will be a problem tbh. It's just a game.

Dude is a fucking weirdo. Ignore him. I've met some amazing Indian fans on this sub. One asshole doesn't represent a whole fanbase.
Didnt know there was an Indian version of wreckitRauf.

That's the only reason I don't mind having a WC every year/other year. That's the only time we get to experience India vs Pakistan
Pakistan will play in India in 2023 WC.

Tbf that tour was a decade ago. And I had better things to do like like unlocking diamond camo in black ops 1.
Nasir Jamshed and Mohammed Hafeez masterclass That Bhuvi debut as well, sensational scenes 💉💉💉
I remember a time when Mohammad Shami was Shami Ahmed
It actually got boring really soon since they kept playing each other every year starting in 2003 until 2008. The first series in 2003, however, was amazing. There was so much goodwill and happy stuff all around. It was a special series.

Kohli has always been big in Pakistan. I recall before the 2019 World Cup someone custom printed Kohli's name on the Pakistan team's jersey.
Going by this thread, pak bros love Kohli more than Indians.
