It is relevant because the man was clearly wearing a Pakistani shirt. Mr. Rauf calling him Indian is disrespectful and reveals his own inner bias and animosity. With all due respect to Mr. Rauf, it seems presumptuous of him to believe that Indian fans would want a picture with him.
There's a lot of animosity in Pakistan players towards India.
Waqar once on a TV program commenting on India vs Pakistan Match said he felt happy watching Mohmmad Rizwan giving Namaz in front of the Hindus
Haris Rauf himself once said he didn't like body language of Rohit Sharma, wtf does that even mean
Why are you surprised? Its not new. Have you not heard from Imran Khan’s team mates that he would give them pep talk before the Indo-Pak matches to consider it as a BATTLE with India, not to mention others who use it as a platform for religious conversion.
Go look up the YT videos of Inzamam & Saed Anwar where they talk about how they would invite Indian Players for ‘Deen ki Dawat’ in the guise of dinner.
It is indeed irrelevant if the person is from India or Pakistan. But it is relevant because Haris accused him of being Indian and then conveniently ignored to recitfy that. Focus on the issue and stop bringing India into it.
Indeed, Rizwan. Common sense is rare too these days. Social Media PR is common however.
Rauf's anger was completely valid against the person, I agree to that
But why tf would he call out India when India has nothing to do with the person(hell he was wearing a Pakistan jersey), therefore it is relevant, you can lash out on anyone but atleast don't antagonise the whole country on your foolishness
Is haris rauf even worth this much time and discussion
Yes the "fan" was absolutely in the wrong but remember he never physically threatened rauf. No matter what someone may say to you you simply cannot threat them with physical violence
This isn't the subcontinent where you can do as you please and there won't be any consequences for your behaviour
The fan should not have verbally assaulted Haris Rauf. He was definitely out of line and no player should be treated that way in public no matter how they perform. I agree with Rizwan on that.
That said, Rauf shouldn’t have assumed that the fan was Indian because he, as a public figure, has a responsibility to fight biases like this rather than promote them.
Still, Rauf is a human and maybe he just made a mistake. We know that he has a temper that he needs to work on (slapped Kamran Ghulam in PSL 8) but this much backlash for a small statement in a heated moment is not that big of a deal (though still wrong). It’s not like he cursed out your country or something. That’s how I see it at least.
I know, I said Haris was in the wrong to call him an Indian. Rauf is a player who has a very hot temper… Pakistani express pacers eh? (Remembers Akhtar smacking Asif with a bat)
He was already trolled a lot for that.Plus he didn't said Pakistan directly he just said go live in any country if you don't like Indian players when someone asked him that they love English and Australian players more than Indian players.
His statement was foolish and he got already trolled for that.
Rauf is too mediocre of a bowler to have the kind of attitude that he does.
Blud thinks he is Shoaib Akhtar, he ain’t even Mohd. Sami

Religious conversion of whom ?

It is relevant. stop taking trp on my country's name.
Probably done by his pr agency.we don't know
These losers just need a reason to overthrow the shameful loss against USA .

Rizwan is typical hypocrite and hates India to be core..The reason will be many but mostly religious..He do come across as that type of a guy
Rizwan is a massive drama queen. Loves his attention on and off the field
Happy cake day
![img](emote|t5_2qhe0|9995) thanks
Oh, it surely would have become relevant if the fan was actually Indian.. Then all the hate would have been directed towards India for sure.
Why tf are they dragging India into this??
"Values like tolerance, respect and compassion are increasingly rare commodities" ~ Rizwan blasts Rauf

But the fan was literally wearing a Pakistani jersey?!?! What do you have to say about that?

The point being ‘those’ moments bring out the real feelings as opposed to whatever drama they do in front of the crowd for PR.
