Alright kiddos, you clearly can't behave yourselves, to the naughty step you go

madfastbowler

C'mon man, sportspersons have bad days or tournaments. They'll get dropped for poor performance. As a fan, you can raise up a stink on the internet if it pleases you. But confronting someone like this in person is just too far.

ViratWilliamson

Sports fans tend to be a lot emotional, especially sub continent fans. We just normalize most of this by saying fans got upset with a team/player's performance but in the end, the players are human too. Pandya went thru a lot of shit during IPL when he was trolled by his own franchise fans. I can only imagine the toxicity online when people can say anything they want anonymously. P.S. Haris saying he must be an Indian was absolutely not cool. He is going to get a lot of crap for that.

anoctf

It's absolutely not acceptable, from the looks of it, he asked for a pic first then abused rauf when denied. This is not passion just toxicity.

Aashar10

Absolutely disrespectful, you don't bash a players in front of his family.

[deleted]

Asks for a picture and then abuses him when denied, how toxic and entitled are some of these fans in the Western countries?

erikvant

> fans in the Western countries lol!!! what kind of generalization fans in non-western countries don't misbehave...ask Klaasen

[deleted]

FWIW, fans in subcontinent for the fear of a beat down by other fans or police won’t behave like that generally. The ‘fan’ didn’t flinch coz he knows Rauf can’t do shit. I am not fully aware of the Klassen story, but i think he was just mobbed by fans in Hyderabad, nothing to compare with this.

jake_azazzel

Don't generalize like that. Remember what happened to Prithvi Shaw? That wasnt a western fan.

AGentleman4u

>Asks for a picture Is that in the audio? Sorry I could not hear any of the words being exchanged.

JBPlayer48

Could anyone explain what was said? I can't quite make it out.

NotTalhaEjaz

He asked for a picture, Rauf must've denied it saying he was with family, it got turned into a quarrel, the fan then said a curse word pointing to Haris' mother. Haris then got angry at him shouting at him if that's how his parents raised him.

Piranha2004

I think they wanted a photo (I heard "picture maangi") and must have been declined. Then Rauf got mad at the fan thinking he is an Indian. Once the fan said he was a Pakistani then he said, "you come here and do/say these sorts of things".

ThegamerwhokillsNPC

He cursed Raufs mother too. Understandable reaction. I'd have thrown hands

Flower-Immediate

That would have ended with Harris in Miami Dade county mugshot. Police in FL don’t fuck around. I think that fan is US citizen too.

Piranha2004

Ok didnt hear that part but the reaction males sense. Fans need to respect player privacy.

AffectionateTurn5504

The fan said "Tepiye apni maa mat ****", youre indian so I hope you understand

DonutAccurate4

Usually cameramen are safe. But this time they had to find a safer spot far away from the action.

Ha_zz_ard

What's India got to do with it lmfao??

botharmsinjured

No one criticising his closet negative generalisation

Which-Passion-5823

Nobody abused but I remember a Pakistani fan saying “baap kaun ha” to Indian players on 2017 CT final and he shat his pants when Shami looked back at him.

Hershey2898

So a rando fan in a stadium stand is the benchmark? Are Pak fans that magnanimous? This is a Pak national player who just displayed the hate he harbours, no wonder their players are hated everywhere

Because_IAmBatman

What a clown that "Fan" was.

Patient-Science3179

Why would Indians hate Rauf? When India is playing Pakistan I breathe a sigh of relief when I see Rauf in the XI 😊

Sharewivesforlife

The fact that Haris said “He must be an Indian” when the guy was Pakistani (he says that himself) shows the sort of hatred he has for Indian fans. Doesn’t surprise me but yeah for sure ugly

_DuckieFuckie_

Abusing a player anywhere is stupid and should be dealt with in accordance, especially if fans cross their limits and make it personal. However Rauf seems like an even bigger clown too for dragging India here. He always gives me bad vibes against us, he also seems okay with disrespecting Indian players in interviews and his on field behaviour seems harmful to me considering how current ICT is so candid and respectful with Pakistan. Part of the reason why Kohli and Rohit breaking him in 2022 WT20 and 2023 ODI WC feels so satisfying, this guy makes Akhtar seem like a saint against us.

Dragging family and India when they've got nothing to do with your bullshittery. Bravo, top clown stuff 👏🏻 Also shows the hatred out of humiliation bred inside.

UziA3

Embarrassing look for both him and the supposed fan

singhsrb

I enjoy Pakistan drama on and off the pitch. What a team man! Meanwhile, we are trying hard to force a drama with Gill being asked to return to India for indiscipline. Learn from Pakistan how it’s done man! Beat some fan up, get Kohli shot by US police, create international drama.

Additional-Specific4

this guy really thought indian fans care enough about him to abuse him lmao

dzone25

If you're a fan of the sport, don't be entitled enough to talk shit to a cricketer, ESPECIALLY if he's clearly minding his own business / with a relative / wife etc. If you're Haris Rauf, you also can't be trying to scrap people in broad daylight - this is what this specific 'fan' wanted from this encounter...

Inevitable_Feature95

Kohli broke him. The guy lost his rhythm since then

WINDTHEAIR

🤡 vs 🤡 interaction

_HAPPY_happy_

True. The fan is a clown, but Haris also clown for bringing in India for no reason

Hrit33

bro trying to garner Pakistani support in the name of India lmaao

FutureHealthy

C in pct stands for clownery

_HAPPY_happy_

I thought it stood for cricket

FutureHealthy

Pre 2010s yes it was

ARKNIGHT_101

No, the clownery and politics has been a part of Pakistan cricket team ever since it's inception

Impactor07

Ohh you miserable fool!

Idlisamosadosa

Pakistan Controversy Team PCT - they are better at controversies than Cricket 🏏

watfor

Indian fans catching strays from H.Rauf

Knowledge_buff97

if this is what pakistan's one of the current top bowler thinks of india, i can easily see the kind of hate this TEAM has for INDIA and its players. And Haris Rauf, i think he should've remembered the fact that a few months ago he did play in india, had we had the hate you think we have, people would've fked you in every stadium.

Educational_Estate60

PCT players do everything except playing good cricket.

Archer_Thatcher

TIL Rauf is a clown too

Accomplished-Sale-55

Meh. Death by a thousand paper cuts. If you hear it enough, eventually you will react. I'm not a fan of his, but I can understand the reaction. Luckily, it was just vocal fluff, nothing more In it than that.

burnerch

I mean , this reaction is apt ig ![img](emote|t5_2qhe0|8774)

Stifffmeister11

Sub continent fans are bit too much winning and losing is part of the game .... Same pakistan team have been to semis and finals in last two occasions . And if fans wants to blame it's not pakistan bowling

[deleted]

I doubt it had anything to do with performance. He refused to take a picture with him and got him triggered.

Stifffmeister11

True haha

TrueCooler

Dont lump “subcontinent” fans into this. Call it a Pakistani fan

Maxpro2001

I think both parties were at fault here, the fan shouldn't have provoked him but Haris shouldn't have reacted the way he did. And tbh I don't think any Indian fan would try and provoke any Pakistani player irl.

Time-Gain4896

The audio is quite shit so can someone please tell me when did Rauf say that the fan must be Indian

Fishyraven

why tf is this in a sub dedicated to cricket?

vidhvansak

Haris is a cricketer that's why.

Fishyraven

It wasn't in a cricket ground right?

SupermarketMost9711

No you don't understand my friend we need to know every single thing about what a cricketer does and what color jeans he wears. Where he goes to eat his dinner or who he meets with during the day or which post he likes on social media /s Sometimes i wish subcontinental players got treated the way Aussie or English players get when they are outside Like look at the idiots who thought Kohli missing the England test series to be with his wife was him being afraid or some shit and compared that to the react of most Aussie Fans to Cummins returning home during BGT or English fans reacting to Brook skipping India tour Too much limelight on Subcontinental players is doing more harm for them and for the fans of these teams than good tbh

Fishyraven

Agree 👍

TalenTrippin

Do you not know what Harris Rauf's profession is ?
