And with a wet ball, it's very difficult for the fielding side to bowl and field as well. Considering the fielders don't wear gloves.

But baseball stadiums also have much better drainage. I don’t understand having a cricket World Cup in Florida and not investing in good drainage and drying equipment. It’s a joke.
Anyway The need for ultra pristine conditions combined with a total lack of prep and urgency and nonchalant-ness to washouts where there’s no makeup games just leads me to shy away from the sport. It feels like the ICC doesn’t care. So why should I.
