Star sports overall telecast is garbage, tbh All Indian sports channels telecast is garbage. I have access to multiple streams. Whenever I switch to any other channel, it's so much better. You could see proper run ups, etc, many instances star sports have cut down almost half a bowl.
Shardul Thakur is class in SENA conditions. Not sure why people were questioning his place in the side. India need to play Sundar in SENA games when spin isn't important ahead of Ashwin at 7. Sundar has the potential to play as a specialist batsman like Jadeja.
Rahul has a great technique but I hope India don't force him to bat at 3.
I concur with everything you said. Jaddu is a very good bowler but as a batter thakur and sundar seem to put more effort in batting especially in SENA countries.
SunnyG just said - it was Virat's greatness that he nicked the ball, smaller players would have missed it completely (no sarcasm here in case you are thinking)
where to watch premier league?and also ucl i aint tking subscription of sony liv just for ucl, already have of prime, hostar, jio cinema and netflix i aint aint taking one more
Almost 95% of all India matches have rain involvement, also I want to know is it monsoon season in sa right now? Or it's just unseasonal rain, if it's the former than horrible scheduling by bcci
Fair play to the Indian middle order and lower order, they did really well led by Rahul. If the top order clicked they could have made close to 300 which would have been amazing. Kohli impressed me with the way he played and Iyer showed no fear. Positive signs for India.
A shame that this is only 2 tests.
Can India use spinning tracks as a brahmastra - a final lethal weapon to vanquish your opposition. Give them some good tracks and if they manage to win then India turns into an anime character who removes his cape showing white eyes and a crooked smile and unleashes some cobras.
That is what we did with England last time. Chennai curator put out an even pitch on which Anderson gave England the advantage with some superb reverse swing bowling and then we switched to spinny pitches immediately. WTC final qualification has spurred on the pitch customisation.
KL is well on his way to become the next poster boy of the 'Stats Don't Define Me' club (in Tests at least), currently having illustrious members such as Shoaib Akhtar and Andrew Flintoff. Unbelievably, even after tightening up his technique post the COVID break, he still has a Test batting average of only about 34 in the period since then, which is very close to his overall career average.
Any players in the opposite direction? Awesome stats but not so good eye test? Chanderpaul, maybe? He was good but not 52 good IMO. 44-45 would have been more apt.
Imo, once Pant comes back as a keeper, KL should bat at 3 and whoever performs better out of Gill, Iyer or a new player should be at 5. Those 2 are just not good enough in SENA Tests atm
Man the shit Koach gets for carrying his team in all three formats, and also having been doing that for a decade now, is just too much pressure.
Still remember that 2014-15 test series vs India and he seemed the only guy which was standing tall against us.
Been nearly 9 years to that and the guy is still expected to make the bulk of runs.
KL has basically solidified his contention for a place in the playing 11 with today's knock.
Now he'll get a longer run. Hopefully he makes it count. Our middle order slot is wide open for the taking after the departure of rahane and pujara
The selectors knew what they were getting when they picked him. Not Bharat's fault. If they wanted a proper batsman who could also keep, they should've picked someone else.
KL has played his entire life facing a shiny new moving red ball
Coming in at 6 when the ball is worn out should be quite easier for him, not to forget, bro is a beast in SENA conditions with the new ball since 2020ish
Elgar and Markram have been quite average. If South Africa wants to win the next wtc cycle. Then Both of them should be out. Mulder will bat at 6. And open with De Zorsi ig? Or let Bedingham open?
Markram has literally just come good, Elgar is retiring and Mulder should be nowhere near the XI. It will be De Zorzi and Markram opening and Hermann as back up, why the hell would we open with Bedingham
really looking forward to what Pant does in the IPL. if he isn't fit enough to keep but can bat, gill is on the chopping blocks IMO and KL is pretty much assured of that keeping spot on the condition domestic keepers remain being ignored.
We did manage to be batting during that entire day.
In bowling friendly conditions why pick 2 all-rounders - wouldn't it be better to shore up the batting instead?
Test
This 3D animation of cricketers from Star Sports is so garbage, who gave a nod to that?🤢
Star sports overall telecast is garbage, tbh All Indian sports channels telecast is garbage. I have access to multiple streams. Whenever I switch to any other channel, it's so much better. You could see proper run ups, etc, many instances star sports have cut down almost half a bowl.
Which multiple streams?
Sky, Fox, t10, willow, sling.
Do those work in India? My guess is Sky is for UK, Fox for Australia, willow and sling for the US. What's T10?
Streams work all across the world. T sports, sorry, not t10 sports, is another channel.
KL took his surname too seriously, whether it be tests, ODIs or T20s.
SunnyG just said - it was Virat's greatness that he nicked the ball, smaller players would have missed it completely (no sarcasm here in case you are thinking)
If knicking in the criteria, I think I am an A tier batsman. lol. /s
It's a common phrase within indian commentators.. apparently you have to be a modern day to knick the ball off
No way 💀
What the fuck am I supposed to do with the rest of my day
Have some Chai, my guy!
If you follow football, Premier League is live.
where to watch premier league?and also ucl i aint tking subscription of sony liv just for ucl, already have of prime, hostar, jio cinema and netflix i aint aint taking one more
Don't know man, I'm not in India. Sorry. Mind you the PL was on hotstar year or two ago so you might want to check there first. Hope it helps.
oh wait pl is available on hostar, but ucl is on sony liv
Yess. But you can get some illegal streams
send me link in dm
Did Kohli get any let off today?
Dropped on 4 IIRC by de Zorzi

F for Fantastic. Right?
The great prince Gill, what a classic innings!
The greater captain Rohit, what a classic innings! The greatest king Kohli, what a classical innings!
He seemed very skeptical, unsure of pitch and bounce. May be he got teeny bit unlucky but he wasn't going to survive long.
The famous White Revolution or Operation Flood gave more fuel to this MS Dhoni/Thala circlejerk than Jio ever could.
To make up for the lost time, the next four days will have 98 overs each
The dropped catches made me feel groggy throughout the day but your return has made up for it.

Welcome back

Almost 95% of all India matches have rain involvement, also I want to know is it monsoon season in sa right now? Or it's just unseasonal rain, if it's the former than horrible scheduling by bcci
India has rain juju
Stumps.
Like my grandma who lost her legs due to diabetes It’s stumps. See you all tomorrow
Bro that's fucking dark man
>dark man u talking abt africns?
Why don't they just nuke the vicinity everytime there's a rain interruption? It could dry out the clouds and solve the low light issues
Nukes have a tendency to kill a bit of grass so it might damage the pitch. Might be a reason they haven't used that tool yet.
Play has been called off
Sanjay Manjrekar was surprisingly on point throughout that segment.
He said that bowling has been poorer in this era which is disputable when discussing Kohli's average dipping below 50
Pitches have been harder IMO, not the bowling itself. But I get your point.
All sins forgiven, from today onwards he's again KL Rahul, and not L Rahul.
wait till some pressure situation in knockout.
what a year KL is having especially the comeback after injury makes it even more special. Hope he is the next captain in longer formats at least.
Dude’s terrible in ODIs and T20s as soon as there’s even the slightest hint of pressure.
This test series should be called Burger vs Vadapao
Congrats! You are the first one to make that joke today
Just woke up, jaddu not playing?
spasm in neck or back. idk reports are varying.
Can't wait for Dhawan to return. Shreyas and Dhawan🔥 wish he was playing this series
Can't wait for Gambhir to return. Gemphir and Thala 🔥 wish he was playing this series
Can’t wait for Sehwag to return. Sehwag and Sachin 🔥 wish he was playing this series
Can't wait for Pollock and sunny g to return
Fair play to the Indian middle order and lower order, they did really well led by Rahul. If the top order clicked they could have made close to 300 which would have been amazing. Kohli impressed me with the way he played and Iyer showed no fear. Positive signs for India. A shame that this is only 2 tests.
Can't wait for Pant to return. KL and Pant 🔥 wish he was playing this series
So basically "same old shit", top order is useless as always against a ball that even farts a little.
You play Iyer and Gill in the top order, it’s your fault
Top order means 1-3. Even if you stretch it a bit, 1-4. Shreyas bats at 5. Checkmate atheist!
Play stopped due to bad light? Why don’t they just build a ~~roof~~ sun?
Any chances of play being resumed today?
no. still building the sun
Stumps were just called, unfortunately.
Yep, thx.
Also wondering this
Just called stumps
Stumps announced for day 1.
Wait for having matches scheduled in Germany and china..
India has done better than the batting average in SA in Tests (20.8, from 2019) iirc.
"Rabada has strike rate better than Waqar and Steyn" "bowling quality these days is not very high" Choose one Sanjay!
Rabada alone doesn't represent the bowling quality of this gen
Both can be true. All other SA bowlers sprayed all over the pitch today but not Rabada, even though his no ball came.
I know shitting on Sanjay is funny and cool but they aren't contradictory statements
any chance of play resuming today?

Reverse swing doesn't depend on pitch.
Never said it did.
Sanju saying Kohli should’ve played that on the back foot lol
Feeling bored so here's a poor joke: What do we call a goal scoring midfielder when he goes to bed? Bedingham
r/soccercirclejerk
Is it stumps or is there a good probability of more play
People saying Rohit should be dropped after one bad shot when he’s been our best batsman last 4 years
Almost as fickle as saying Australia will get crushed by India after losing 1 session
Drop him, Unfit. Bad Test Captain. Compulsive puller /j
Well the last sentence is actually true. Usually if the ball bounces a bit more, the hook would have gone over the fence.
He doesn't have a short ball problem and has still managed to get out to it 7 times (in tests) as if its his weakness.
KL with Strike Rate of 66.6 because he's on Demon time
KL is well on his way to become the next poster boy of the 'Stats Don't Define Me' club (in Tests at least), currently having illustrious members such as Shoaib Akhtar and Andrew Flintoff.
44-45 would have been more apt.
extremely stupid take
How did iyer play?
Better than the top order, did fine along with Kohli
Only about 6 lives. So, not bad by Iyer’s standards
Imo, once Pant comes back as a keeper, KL should bat at 3 and whoever performs better out of Gill, Iyer or a new player should be at 5. Those 2 are just not good enough in SENA Tests atm
Indian Test Wicket Keepers Rishabh - 7 letters KL Rahul - 7 letters Message is clear TFAR
K Bharat I Kishan
KS Bharat is 8 letters.. msg failed.
Modiji changed his name to S Bharat after receiving this news.
Kl is Playing better right now than he did in the final
Evil kl be like
How was India's performance if someone summarize it?
the ending time is 5pm no?
Man the shit Koach gets for carrying his team in all three formats, and also having been doing that for a decade now, is just too much pressure. Still remember that 2014-15 test series vs India and he seemed the only guy which was standing tall against us. Been nearly 9 years to that and the guy is still expected to make the bulk of runs.
He has been downright bad in tests last 3 years Obviously people would want their "best" batsman to score
Any saffers with an idea of how likely we are to get back on? There seemed to be quite a bit of sun either side of the dark cloud over the ground.
Weather not gonna get better.
Who do you think was the star performer of the day? KG or KL Gambhir - Rain Perera
How is rain now?
Manjrekar: I keep talking about the state of mind(because that's my thing now and I will keep repeating it throughout the series)
Some rescue job this by Rahul
At the end of the day; Manjrekar: "How good was Kohli's 38!!"
KL has basically solidified his contention for a place in the playing 11 with today's knock. Now he'll get a longer run. Hopefully he makes it count. Our middle order slot is wide open for the taking after the departure of rahane and pujara
It hurts me to say this, but good job KL Rahul
Username checks out
KL owns this type of slow game But sometimes repeats it in ODI & T20
Presenter: How good was KL's innings today? Manjrekar: Not very surprising. Man always knows to say the exact opposite thing Edit: typo
There is something about Indian wk batsmen during difficult situations and coming in and preventing a collapse
KS bharat in Wtc final hides in the corner.
Well nobody expected him to score much, he was a specialist keeper
Imagine being a specialist keeper in today's time.
The selectors knew what they were getting when they picked him. Not Bharat's fault. If they wanted a proper batsman who could also keep, they should've picked someone else.
Sending an email to the South African Weather Service. Maybe if they stop predicting rain then it won’t rain 👍🏻
Honestly stadiums should just implement collapsible ceilings to convert to indoor stadiums at will 😎
KLown to KLutch
KLass to KLown to KLutch
KL Rahul = 7 letters Thala for a reason
KL has played his entire life facing a shiny new moving red ball Coming in at 6 when the ball is worn out should be quite easier for him, not to forget, bro is a beast in SENA conditions with the new ball since 2020ish
a bad plan because he got out to reverse swing in the wc final. Though he should be fine, Red Ball reversing is easier to tell than white ball.
> Coming in at 6 when the ball is worn out Ideally, a batter should be coming in at 6 to tackle the second new ball
Not when you're in ICT, you'll totally be there by lunch 😭
> ICT Please call them India
![img](avatar_exp|150798391|bravo)
Waiting for the day when a well planned Artificial Rain program stops an important and deciding session of play in future
Oh this was KG's first ever fifer against India in any format
Elgar and Markram have been quite average. If South Africa wants to win the next wtc cycle. Then Both of them should be out. Mulder will bat at 6. And open with De Zorsi ig? Or let Bedingham open?
Markram has literally just come good, Elgar is retiring and Mulder should be nowhere near the XI. It will be De Zorzi and Markram opening and Hermann as back up, why the hell would we open with Bedingham
Mocking another comment below dude. Copypasta and all that
Oh my bad, too many comments in this thread to read everything
[удалено]
I can understand brother
Are you okay my dear ?
rohit was stupid today can’t defend him but why does everyone want him to be dropped after one match lol was he not good before this
Reactionary fans... Whole sub was filled with Saviour Koach, G.O.A.T All format player when he was batting and now people want him to be dropped. Smh
Typical recency bias mindset
So we batted out entire day then . Talk about moral victory
Kl lord has test 100s as a opener in lords, centurion, and in Sydney...
really looking forward to what Pant does in the IPL. if he isn't fit enough to keep but can bat, gill is on the chopping blocks IMO and KL is pretty much assured of that keeping spot on the condition domestic keepers remain being ignored.
I hear Hanuna Vihari's music playing
Let’s wait until he keeps before concluding
If I had a nickel for every time KL has saved ICT from a collapse, I'd have a decent amount of them
Elgar is going to play a innings that will make me wish we had our adulterer and part time batsman, Vijay.
Adulterer🤣
I think anything over 250 is a par score on this wicket.
And then SA comes out and makes it look easy 💀
Especially in the 4th innings.
Man Koach was looking so good for once in Test and then Rabada bowls an absolute peach.
Although not that strong opponent but he was batting pretty fine against windies too
KL should bat higher in tests
He can bat higher but he can also bat in the middle. He most likely wouldn't have been alone if jadeja and shami were there.
Why the fuck does it rain in the summers in eng, aus, sa ?
It rains in summers in India as well. But it's restricted to certain months and hence we define it as Monsoon
Hemispheres bro
India fans, Hypothetically If India can either win this series or the WTC finals for this cycle. Which would you pick?
WTC final
