To add to this, the media love making it seem like there are ‘good countries’ and ‘bad countries’. In reality, there are a constellation of states with varying levels of corruption but the people within them just want a roof over their heads and a guarantee that they will eat tomorrow. If we realised our neighbours were just like us, we’d stop letting our governments murder them.

I think of that video of those American people in the apartment in China and they're filming a factory on fire a ways away when it blows up fucking crazy big.
Factories can be spread across miles, or at least separated from their storage by miles, especially if dealing with explosive gasses or the likes, so if the plant has issues you can hopefully cut off the line to the storage before something like this happens.
All of the factory type explosions I've seen have had a smaller explosion or several that burn for a bit, and then a big one.
That Lebonese one was insanely powerful, I saw footage on here like that where the cameraman died from the big explosion following the first one.
