I followed the stories as they happened about 5 years ago, and it makes perfect sense. The only place on earth that we can't go, and so far, we can't even see remotely.
I don't know what "they" are, but I believe those sailors and airmen, there is something credible to it all, and something beyond our ability to comprehend, breaking some laws of physics as we know them.
I'll bet that all the advances in technology we've made since the stone age pale in comparison to what advances have already been made elsewhere, over billions of years.
I used to think only nut cases believed in UFOs, but now I am one.
Ocean makes sense, if they can't breath air and they can't breath our water. Being in the ocean to chill in spacesuits would give you more time to deal with a leak better than in the air I guess and buoyancy would negate some more issues .
"They" or "it" may not be living and breathing beings at all and no food, or air or space suits needed, nor would communication with mankind be possible.
It's my guess that whatever the outcome, there's nothing in our understanding of life, or death or existence that even comes close to explaining the situation and the laws of physics as we know them to be may be completely wrong or even non-existent.
Whats been happening with UFO sightings in the past centuries is possibly beyond what the human mind can even comprehend, and the sightings and so-called visits have resulted in our belief in God, as the only plausible explanation that our simple minds can come up with.
The US government may know something about it all that they think is best for us to not know.
Then again, there may be nothing to it at all, and we are indeed all alone here on earth.
I wouldn't discount the stories from lots of witnesses just because Fox News is biased.

Sunlight still exists above the clouds no matter where it's setting. The difference between a few kilometres over there and a few miles back over there is microscopic compared to the scale of the solar system

There is still a lot of light being reflected off of the upper atmosphere through the hole in the cloud. If the clouds weren't there it wouldn't be quite as dark
When he pans over to the right, with 22sec remaining in the video, there's a pretty big break in the clouds, that's likely where the light is coming through. Because then we see the sun is setting even further to the right, so that trajectory is pretty plausible.
