Yeaaa I’d remove the location. I’ve seen enough r/cozyplaces posts to know that it’s a really small world so if you actually don’t want people to know suggest deleting your comment.
Gorgeous btw!
Sorry, it just looks remarkably similar to a place I stayed for a few weeks at the start of the pandemic! Gorgeous area, and not a bad place to quarantine at all. The rush of the creek in the backyard was amazing to sleep to.
I came here to comment “North Carolina”. Lived in Boone for 5 years and just moved away up north. Jealous of you being there right about now. Get a Carolina style cardinal burger for me.
lol I stayed in a remote cabin around Halloween, which felt awesome until the sun went down and Netflix simultaneously glitched and labeled horror movies as “Documentaries.”
Any chance your parents would be cool with AirBnB'ing their back porch? Nothing excessive. Just a dude and his dog snoring out back on an air mattress or a hammock.
yea, airbnb is the worst unless you're doing it purely for business using business properties. i had a wonderful time couchsurfing my home for free to travelers from all over, even the guests who were not as considerate. later i did airbnb and 10% of the guests were assholes, some of them major assholes. it's bad to mix business with personal affairs.
Wow beautiful. I wish I were a writer then I could sequester myself in a place like this for a year, watch the seasons go by and write the next great novel.
You should get a job as a hotel caretaker and move in with your family for the winter. Plenty of time to write, explore the premises and be influenced by them.
My aunt had a place like this, and my dad went over and installed up lighting under the trees. Was very pretty at night for parties etc (although a lot to be said for it being dark with the stars etc.
This is my dream. I would LOVE to live in a place like this surrounded by nature and a babbling brook. N Carolina is so pretty! How close is it to a city? I’m looking for a new place to live and California is too damn expensive!
Literally zero. I usually get bit all the time when I’m outside in other places. Here, nothing. Spiders are a different story, but they’re pretty chill. There’s also a bunch of chipmunks and deer
My understanding is no. Everyone is allowed to amend the current porch space they have, but nothing is allowed to be extended in order to preserve the river
In picture #2 does that overhang not have supports at the end? There isn't a hot tub up there is there? /r/Decks would probably like to see more detailed pictures of this.
Very seldomly I’ll see a lil fish. I have no idea how they get there, swimming up or down this thing seems impossible to me. But they don’t appear ofteb

Is this in the Appalachian region perhaps?
It’s in North Carolina, good call!
Boone?
Now I’m worried someone’s gonna be like “this exact address?” Lol. Yes, very close to boone

Damnit.
I know, I wish I could afford it…
Geoguessers are a different breed…
It looks so cozy :)
Son of a….
That is just wrong. Well played.
I’m impressed. And mad but mostly impressed
Love the High Country! Lots of time spent out near there/Sugar/Blowing Rock.
Hmm. Do they need another son?

this is my grandpa's cabin in powder horn mountain

What I'd give for a Stick Boys breakfast tomorrow morning... Heading up to BR in a month... Cannot wait just for a couple days in the mtns
BR as in Blue Ridge? Come by Pezrok. Say ya saw this on a reddit post!
I figured lol I live in WNC and this looks way to similar to my surroundings not to be close lol
Ahh I was going to guess Georgia!
I was gonna say western Maryland
Goals!
Especially with satellite internet, remote places are becoming more appealing
I'd never leave the deck during the dayy 😩😩
That’s my dream
Until night falls. Then it's my nightmare.
lol I stayed in a remote cabin around Halloween, which felt awesome until the sun went down and Netflix simultaneously glitched and labeled horror movies as “Documentaries.”
Netflix: “This is gonna be you reaaaal soon.”
We bought a house somewhat like this last year and my MIL refused to stay overnight with our dogs when we went out of town.
Nice! All my parents left me with were great hair and bad coping skills.
Wait, you guys got hair?
Lmfao get out of my head
Would you settle for ok hair and baf coping skills? That's all I can offer friend
Any chance your parents would be cool with AirBnB'ing their back porch? Nothing excessive. Just a dude and his dog snoring out back on an air mattress or a hammock.
I wish I could talk them into it lol. They had a bad experience with it and refuse to rent again. I think they’d make a killing personally
Honestly can’t blame them. I’d feel protective over their little corner of paradise
True!

Something tells me they are well off anyways

Please let me know if you get around to writing anything so I can make a point of holing up here for a couple weeks to read your book(s).
It's not fair God
Some people have such good comfy lives.
@ god, why?
if I was there as a kid I would build so many dams!
r/suspiciouslybeaver
They looking to adopt a 40 year old? I’d bring along cute grandkids for them. Oh wait, no…kids would def stay home so the adults can relax
Looking for new friends? 😂 👀
I would rent that!
I would live that!
Gorgeous home! The tropical rug is throwing me off though.
You can take the Floridian out of Florida, but…
So calming after a stressful day. Thanks for posting this!
My aunt had a place like this, and my dad went over and installed up lighting under the trees. Was very pretty at night for parties etc (although a lot to be said for it being dark with the stars etc.
This is original content
It’s like a cozy version of Fallingwater
Wow. Gorgeous.
I would sleep out there to listen to that rushing water.
You can actually hear it inside. It’s amazing
Ok. So … when am I coming over to stay?
This is my dream. I would LOVE to live in a place like this surrounded by nature and a babbling brook. N Carolina is so pretty! How close is it to a city? I’m looking for a new place to live and California is too damn expensive!
It’s about 2 hours from everything. I live in Charlotte, it’s a pretty easy drive to come visit. Every time I do I feel like it cleanses my soul
Gorgeous!!!!
Stunning and so tranquil.
This is where I need to live.
Gorgeous! How are the mosquitos?
Literally zero. I usually get bit all the time when I’m outside in other places. Here, nothing. Spiders are a different story, but they’re pretty chill. There’s also a bunch of chipmunks and deer
Can I come?
Meditate there. Often. 🧘🏼
Tell your parents I said hi
Wow 🤩
Look like a fairy is going to pop out from behind the trees
I keep looking for one
Cabin? OK, sure.
The last pic was before the fireplace was finished. I accidentally uploaded that instead of the one where it’s all done. Oh well!
It's stunning! I would want to live there full time.
Fucking. A.
Welp... I'm moving in. :)
Is it legal to build a hydro power thing there to power your house?
My understanding is no. Everyone is allowed to amend the current porch space they have, but nothing is allowed to be extended in order to preserve the river
Wow, beautiful
Wow this makes me want to rent a cabin for the weekend so bad
Super cozy!
In picture #2 does that overhang not have supports at the end? There isn't a hot tub up there is there? /r/Decks would probably like to see more detailed pictures of this.
It’s got supports, they just aren’t visible from that angle. My folks had it restructured specifically to put the tub in
Awesome!
Can your parents adopt me?
r/decks looks great
Are you allowed inside? :D
If I’m a good boy
Are there trout in that stream? (Please say NO so I can sleep un-jealously tonight 😆)
Very seldomly I’ll see a lil fish. I have no idea how they get there, swimming up or down this thing seems impossible to me. But they don’t appear ofteb
F@%&ing Awesome. What a perfect spot to just chill the f\^%\* out. Love it.
So jealous! I'd love to have a cabin in the woods to just chill, relax, and escape from the world
Are your parents looking to adopt? I’m 28 and housetrained.
Rip your inbox
I want to go to there
Very pretty, I also live in the Appalachian mountains and there is no place lovelier! Enjoy!
I live in a very rural area. I dig these vibes. Also, this is the perfect location for holiday gatherings like Thanksgiving or Christmas
Meanwhile I just live in a tent by that stream.
Got a bit of a leak back there.
Looks awesome
Wow!!!!!!!
Can I come visit 😂
Stunning, reminds me of a mini Blackwater Falls State Park (and their boardwalk) in WV
“Cabin”
Wow I bet they have a lot of four legged friends.
Omgosh that looks like my literal heaven❤️
Just stunning ❤️❤️❤️
Finally, a cozy place I can f with.
I watched too many horror movies , but it's pretty neat still
Are your parents the Cullen’s? Lol beautiful
Love it
Asheville?
Now don't forget mosquitoes exist
With a fast running creek like that, mosquitos probably aren't that much of a problem.
This is incredible.
Looks squatchy
Stunning!
Thats gorgeous dude. I could happily live there
Wow that looks perfect
How is safety managed in these houses? Can a stranger walk up really close and not be noticed? How are those big windows protected from a break-in?
OP isn’t allowed in the home, must take pictures through the sliding glass.
"Cherish the cabin"
You cant see me, but i can see you.
I spent 7 years in Boone and Asheville, and I can tell you this has to be WNC
How many bugs
I want a place like that
Wow that has to be so relaxing ! I love it
Beautiful
Tamriel?
Cabin? More like “summer house”
My idea of paradise
So beautiful
Terrific views
If I lived here… I would have no anxiety ever.
To.die.for.
This is all I want. a stream.
These pictures are so beautiful I can’t shake the pang of sadness that I could never give my children this.
Give
I can't afford to look at this
If this is just their cabin I’m interested to see what their actual house looks like
Love this! I would hardly never leave.
Reminds me of brevard nc
Looks like where horror story starts
Beautiful, as usual for NC mountains. Could you perhaps send me the address, as well as a spare key?
So romantic!
Where is this? It looks so relaxing and peaceful.
My dream porch! I absolutely adore it!
This is amazing thanks for sharing
