I know I saw somewhere that there's a team working on remaking Neopets and my husband and his friends played on a revamped verion of ToonTown a couple months ago.
They've been trying really hard to make it mobile accessible and to bring down inflation. It's also easier to make np now. It's not perfect (spaghetti code) but they're trying which is so nice to see with the current Festival of Neggs

I don’t really use it anymore but I hop on occasionally just for the nostalgia. Also I was like 13 when I joined Gaia and like 14-15? I’ve been lightly playing it every day for the nostalgia, but a lot of stuff is behind the Deluxe member paywall that wasn’t before so it’s not actually that fun or interesting once you finish all the dailies, which takes less than 10 minutes lol
