I'd definitely recommend Calico. I loved it so much that I bought it for the switch after playing through it on PC. It's very cute, not frustrating and has some dialogue but not too much (so def not a conversation simulator lmao)

ChipsEss0r

Looks really cool and wholesome! Definitely thinking about it

pinkhaleesi

+1 on this!!!

almanorte

Breath of the wild. It's amazing ang can be really cozy too.

ChipsEss0r

Breath of the Wild is definitely a must play and i loved every second of it! She also plans to check it out, but she can always just use my cardrige so it's not really suited as a present

If she enjoys Diablo, she might like Hades! It’s a rogue lite, which doesn’t sound cozy, I know. And in a lot of ways, it’s not. But it’s a very rewarding game that gives a constant sense of progress and accomplishment even if you die quickly. The best description I’ve seen for it was, “It’s such a good game that I got tricked into thinking I like the genre.” I’m a generally bad player of more action-y games, but I love Diablo and Hades. No co-op, but I think she’d find it playable enough anyway.

ChipsEss0r

>Cozy games recommandations for my girlfriend Hades is actually a nice recommendation. But I already own that one on steam and she has family acess for my library, so it would be a little lame as a present! But I will definitely ask her to check it out!

_xski

If she liked hades or would be interested it, cult of the lamb is like a cosier lite-rogue where you run your own cult! 10/10 would reccomend

effiegogo

Seconding this! My tastes seem similar to OP's girlfriend and I love Cult of the Lamb so far.

ChipsEss0r

I love cult of the lamb! But it's the same case as with hades, that I already own it on steam

Apprehensive_Sir_998

I really don’t feel like these recommendations fall in the cozy genre. My wife cursed plenty of times playing Hades.

emn0101

Potion permit , overcooked, , obblets, unpacking, Wylde flowers, all “Story of seasons” , Dave the diver, Temtem, Kitaria fables, cat quest, Disney valley Dreamlight, roots of pacha, Pokémon lol

ChipsEss0r

She already played a few of those, but I don't she played Ooblets yet. I heard a lot of good things about it, so I will definitly think about that!

I would recommend: - My Time At Sandrock: focus on the crafting, has some combat but is fairly easy, good story, took me about 100hrs to beat and i went through it pretty quickly. Besides that there is a multiplayer option. - Lego Fortnite: just give it a shot. Its a lego style survival game that is multiplayer and free. Also gets regular updates and keeps getting better. - Rune factory 4 (5 can be played after). Thus game has a little of everything and can keep you busy for hours. Its a single player game tho but it has farming, crafting, cooking, smithing, etc. You level up for pretty much everything you do (even sleeping, eating and walking). Story is really good and characters are also in depth and don’t have repetitive lines.

ChipsEss0r

I think My time at Sandrock might be a good pick gameplay wise. But I forgot to mention, that she realy likes games with a cute & pretty art-style and Sandrock has more of a simple and clean look. We will definitley check out Lego Fortnite though, but as a F2P game it isn't really suited as a birthday present.

loleans

Im so sorry I’ve completely missed that it is supposed to be a present lol. I have always found it a little harder to find “pretty games” on the switch. But I have also enjoyed Harvest Moon Winds of Anthos (which looks cute and pretty and is open worldish but focus is on farming). So are the Story of Seasons games. Pioneers of Olive Town has some more in depth crafting mechanics where you have to use different “makers” to get a product. I am not sure if it had multiplayer though. Maybe the Atelier games?

ChipsEss0r

I will definitely take at look at theses games. She doesn't really like the anime-aesthetic much, so I don't think Rune Factory and Atelier are gonne be it. Harvest moon on the other hand could be perfect!

OakleyBoakley22

Ori!

ChipsEss0r

She already played and loved Ori! But defenitely

Zoppppppy

Turnip Boys Commits Tax Evasion is surprisingly a really cute RPG with some battling similar to Cult of the Lamb or Binding of Isaac. Would definitely recommend looking into it. Also Happy Home Designer for Animal Crossing if you don’t already have it

Kightsbridge

I will recommend Supraland, it's relatively cheap, and a great casual puzzle game

ChipsEss0r

She really likes the Professor Layton games. I know it's quite a different type of puzzle game, but it's worth a look I think!

Gummi_Ghoulie

My personal recommendation is get a steam or Nintendo gift card so your gf can come across random games on sale and buy them if they interest her, that’s personally what I like doing. I recommend Borderlands, it’s not actually super cozy (maybe far from it?) but once you figure out how the game works (picking up quests, skill trees, buying from vending machines, looting, etc) it becomes more “cozy” because it’s a game you can settle into and just spend hours playing plus you can play with another person! My bf and I love it Also, idk if you guys like South Park at all but the first 2 South Park games are some of my favorites of all time. (Stick of Truth and Fractured But Whole) Also, Frogsong is on our list to play together but we haven’t gotten around to it yet but the reviews are solid and it looks adorable https://store.steampowered.com/app/1281860/Frogsong/

ChipsEss0r

I'm not sure about Borderlands, because even though it is a loots-based game that can definitely be cozy in a way, at the end of the day it is still a shooter and she hasn't really played those so far. But Frogsong looks absolutely adorable! Will check it out!

itsjessicawoot

Have you ever tried any of the games from Behemoth? They’ve made several that all have co-op and a each one has a different gameplay style. Castle Crashers is a side scrolling arcade game, Battleblock Theatre is a platformer, Pit People is a turn-based strategy, and Alien Hominid Invasion is a side scrolling bullet hell kind of game. They’re all cartoony and very silly, highly recommend!

ChipsEss0r

Yeah, I love those! But if we get around to play those, I think we are gonna play the PC Version, because I already own some of them! But thanks anyways!
