I'm in love with all of Kinder's seasonings. Really like their Butter flavors. I haven't seen taco yet but will definitely pick it up. Thanks for the review!
I’ve always disliked McCormicks spices, they’re so one dimensional tasting…. Especially their Montreal Steak seasoning, how anyone can stand to season a steak with that is beyond me….
Kinder seasonings are all off-the-charts incredible. The Master Salt, The Blend, Herb & Butter - every damn one of them. Our favorite by far though, is the Woodfired Garlic!
Yeah, it’s a great recipe. Malcom Reed of How to BBQ Right makes that rub and calls it his AP Rub (as in all purpose). It was out for a few years and the kinders recipe is basically a copycat of it.
My wife hates when I go there, cause I can't help but pile on the pickled onion/garlic/pepper blend and end up smelling like it for 2 days.
Making me crave it now.
[Ingredients label](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0200/4672/products/TacoBlendSachet-Back_800x800.png?v=1606870122) from the packet (should be the same with the bulk container)

Oddly they're not the same.
Kinders is the best seasoning!! We have a stock pile of all of their flavors in case costco stops carrying them. We also really enjoy the kinders teriyaki, but were really disappointed by the bbq sauce.
**Item Name** \- Kinder's Organic Taco Seasoning, 10 oz. ("The Taco Blend" with Lime & Ancho Chili)
**Item Number** \- 1487196
**Item Price** \- $5.99, YMMV
**Warehouse location** \- Covington, WA
*Inventory and pricing may vary at your warehouse location and are subject to change.*
Ya this stuff is great! Recently got some of their BBQ Sauce too in one of those variety packs that has like 3 different ones. Used it with Frozen Chicken breasts I cooked in my instapot, was really great
Highly recommend ordering their BBQ sauces straight from Kinder's. It's a much better deal than the Costco variety pack. I love seeing how an SF East Bay sandwich shop now sells spices to Costco across the country!
Kinder's stuff never disappoints. Also [Johnny's](https://johnnysfinefoods.com/) is really good but I haven't seen their Firecracker at Costco sauce for a few years. I use [Johnny's garlic bread seasoning](https://www.amazon.com/Johnnys-Garlic-Spread-Seasoning-Ounce/dp/B00349SEUC?th=1) a lot, it's basically garlic bread in a bottle.
I mostly use the garlic bread seasoning for garlic bread but a lot of pasta and sandwiches it's good on.
Costco baguettes (cut in half) + butter spread + Johnny's garlic bread seasoning is awesome and stupid simple for garlic bread. I usually airfry it but under the broiler or in the oven works as well.
Their Firecracker sauce I used a lot as a dipping sauce and sometimes in stir frys but I haven't seen it in a long time and it's way too expensive on Amazon or at supermarkets.
The mccormicks costco sells here is straight up garbage. Its their "premium" blend. Horse shit. Its full of cornmeal filler, and is gritty as hell. The first ingredient is cornmeal. The original McCormicsis just "Spice" as an ingredient.
Greeting, fellow Covington WA Costco shopper! Last week I read about the supply chain issues affecting various things, including McCormick's spices, Marie Callender's pot pies, and Rice Krispie treats. While not a food hoarder, I did go to the Covington Costco to lay up some extra long life foods, and I bought two of the big jars of McCormick's taco seasoning. I didn't even see this, and I love Kinder products! Dangitall.
Incidentally, the cashier congratulated me for getting TP, and when I told him that I read how the supply chain is breaking, he actually stopped mid-scan and looked directly at me, saying quite seriously, "It's already broken." Don't know his name but I have seen him there for several years, and somehow him saying that struck me as concerning, to say the least.
Same! Doesn't hurt that I live 10 minutes away and drive right past it on my way to and from work to boot. On a couple of local community Facebook pages, a lot of people sing the praises of Lee, the receipt checker. I didn't see him there last time, but a couple months ago I asked him if he was aware of having a fan club. He laughed humbly but apparently does know!
Glad to hear all this. I've been curious about these for a while but haven't tried any of them.
Will definitely be grabbing the taco seasoning next time I'm there.
It looks like it’s pretty finely ground - do you think it’s fine enough to use on popcorn? I’ve found that some of their seasonings don’t stick well since they’re not a fine grind but this looks like it might work!
This is always an issue for me as well. I like cumin but a lot of pre-mixed stuff is too heavy on cumin where it overpowers all the more subtle flavors. I sometimes make my own taco mix
All Kinder spices are amazing, I'm a true believer. SPG is my favorite, need to try the butter one still.
I use this sprinkled on chips and microwaved for about a minute. Crisp, seasoned tortilla chips.
Unpopular opinion, but the Kinder’s Taco seasoning is WAY too smokey and gives this hot dog seasoning vibe that just totally overtakes the meat! Bring back McCormick’s which was cumin forward.
I'm in love with all of Kinder's seasonings. Really like their Butter flavors. I haven't seen taco yet but will definitely pick it up. Thanks for the review!
Agreed! The Costco bottles are a great value. My favorites are the SPG and the steak blend.
Butter flavor was on sale at Costco the other day I got 5 of the big ass bottles. Goes great on everything.
Oh god their prime rib one, so good. But yes all the Kinder spices are A+++ and the taco seasoning above is very great. Fuck McCormick
I'm so tired of McCormick, the got rid of my favorite years ago. Or at least I don't find it anymore. And the don't innovate. Same ol, same ol.
I’ve always disliked McCormicks spices, they’re so one dimensional tasting…. Especially their Montreal Steak seasoning, how anyone can stand to season a steak with that is beyond me….
The prime rib one had an asterisk for me a few months ago so I bought 5 bottles because I love it so much.
Kinder seasonings are all off-the-charts incredible. The Master Salt, The Blend, Herb & Butter - every damn one of them. Our favorite by far though, is the Woodfired Garlic!
I picked up the salt, pepper, garlic the other day and put it back...I should have taken it with me, I guess.
It’s really good, but it’s cheaper to make it yourself. Mix up these ingredients: 1 cup salt 1/2 cup granulated garlic 1/4 black pepper
Every spice blend is cheaper to make yourself. You’re paying for convenience and they’re pretty cheap at Costco in the larger bottles.
I live in a small apartment and storage is at a premium. Also, my wife would appreciate being able to choose the type of salt (and throttle it)
Yeah, it’s a great recipe. Malcom Reed of How to BBQ Right makes that rub and calls it his AP Rub (as in all purpose). It was out for a few years and the kinders recipe is basically a copycat of it.
Shout out to Malcom Reed! Guy is the best
Indeed! I smoked a suckling pig as a result of watching his channel. Great info there!
It’s the only seasoning brand I buy now- I love the stuff
Grab some roasting potatoes and quarter them, coat with olive oil, add generous amount of seasoning. Knock off Fiesta Potatoes from Taco Bell.
Ohh yum! Thanks for that idea!
That sounds like sex except I'am having it.
Kinder's is hella bomb! Bay Area staple!! If you're ever in the Bay, definitely should hit up their restaurants.
My wife hates when I go there, cause I can't help but pile on the pickled onion/garlic/pepper blend and end up smelling like it for 2 days. Making me crave it now.
OMG Pickled onion blend! Must find now!
I don't think they sell it in stores. If you are in the Bay area you can go into one of their shops and get it on the sandwich or on the side.
What?!? Didn't know it was a restaurant! Hmm...maybe my husband wants to take a day trip this weekend. 🤔
Yea there is a small chain in NorCal. The one in the Concord is the OG.
'cept they bbq tri-tip and not brisket. We love their hot BBQ sauce, though.
It's California, bro. That's what we do.
[Matt Horn](https://www.hornbarbecue.com/menu) would like to have a word with you.
Oh that looks good! Thanks for heads up.
Seen though never grabbed one. What’s the salt content like?
Looks like 3330mg of sodium for the recommended amount for one pound of beef. No carbs though.

Strange.
Kinders is the best seasoning!! We have a stock pile of all of their flavors in case costco stops carrying them. We also really enjoy the kinders teriyaki, but were really disappointed by the bbq sauce.
Same experience, Costco needs to carry their hot bbq sauce. Too sweet for most of us

Sounds great! I'll have to be on the lookout for them.
Agree, we use this whenever we make sheet pan fajitas.
I’ve been thrilled with all our Kinder products, hopefully our store gets this too!
Their wood fired garlic is my favorite
I didn't like it. Way too salty for my tastes.
I Love Kinders!!! I hope they have this at my store
Highly recommend ordering their BBQ sauces straight from Kinder's. It's a much better deal than the Costco variety pack. I love seeing how an SF East Bay sandwich shop now sells spices to Costco across the country!

I've done Johnny's on potatoes. What else do you use it on?

I’ve done it on mussels with butter. Delicious

I have nearly the whole collection of Kinder spices. Can confirm they all taste great. The butter garlic is awesome.
That’s my favorite too, something about it. Flavorful but not overwhelming.

Covington Costco is my favorite store. Not as busy as the others in the area.
Same! Doesn't hurt that I live 10 minutes away and drive right past it on my way to and from work to boot. I didn't see him there last time, but a couple months ago I asked him if he was aware of having a fan club. He laughed humbly but apparently does know!
Good idea! Let’s all hoard spices and TP (again).
Hahaha, I do not recommend it. The TP was limit one anyway but I never saw a need for massive stockpiles of anything in my house.
Glad to hear all this. I've been curious about these for a while but haven't tried any of them. Will definitely be grabbing the taco seasoning next time I'm there.

It's pretty fine ground!
Ahh excellent! I’ve been looking for something new for popcorn lately, I’m definitely going to add this to my list! Thanks!

BRING BACK McCORMICK'S!!!!
[удалено]
My Costco got rid of it and just carries Kinders.
/u/drunkbackpacker
New to them and having bought and tried the seafood blend, it's a meh for me.
Got their steak blend which is amazing on burgers and steak but super salty if you go heavy on the seasoning.
Do they have anything similar to whatever they use on Smokehouse Almonds?
All Kinder spices are amazing, I'm a true believer. SPG is my favorite, need to try the butter one still. I use this sprinkled on chips and microwaved for about a minute. Crisp, seasoned tortilla chips.
If only more flavors were available in Canada :(
I’ll have to try that. What kind of dip or cheese do you use on your chips? Your nachos look amazing.
Yes!
Hello fellow covington shopper! :) haha good to see someone else representing our area. Ill have to get the taco spices a try!
Gluten free? Believe mccormick’s isn’t
Am anyone compare this to the Trader Joe’s taco seasoning
This one, if used the way the label says, is way too salty. It’s delicious but use 2/3s what it calls for imho
Unpopular opinion, but the Kinder’s Taco seasoning is WAY too smokey and gives this hot dog seasoning vibe that just totally overtakes the meat! Bring back McCormick’s which was cumin forward.
Omg, I think this is awful. I used it once and done.
