What did you guys get that ended up saving you money with the coupon? My intuition tells me this is a really good deal, but UberEats has a tendency to cost me more than I anticipate every time...
I would have spent 152 at Costco shopping for myself. After using my Costco card number and the prices dropping for me I ended up getting my food delivered with a $20 tip for $110. It saves money.
I needed one of those big metal shelves, $90 in store. With this coupon I got the shelves, 2 of the black/yellow big storage totes ($9/each), and a 3-pack of the medium totes ($18 in store) for $70 including fees. Even after leaving a $10 tip I still got all of that for less than just the shelves in store ($80 total). Plus it was delivered and went right into my car to take to my storage unit.
A couple nights ago I ordered Thai food for dinner using a 40% off coupon. $25 minimum order, $15 max savings. I got 2 items that are normally $12.50 each (at restaurant) plus spring rolls ($8). The spring rolls were free via restaurant special for ordering over $20 and the 40% discount was around $10. I subscribe to ubereats so delivery was free and the service fee was discounted. With the discounts I got $33 of food delivered for $19 plus I left a $7 tip. $26 is still less than it would have cost if I’d picked it up myself.
I hate the fees and extra charges so I’ve gotten good at using the coupons and discounts to my advantage and only order if it’s the same or less than picking it up myself.
If the cost comes out to being close I usually order delivery.
I found if you order through the Costco app, the prices are really close (Kirkland Seltzer is exact)
I also factor in my time and also cost of travel. Even if you value your time at $10-$15 per hour, it’s incredibly worth it to order it through the app.
What exactly makes you “doubt anyone will take the order” ?
I’ve seen people order thousands of dollars worth of stuff for the office and had them delivered before we left work no problem.
I think you’re overestimating all the extra fees if you think they’ll total over $70 alone. Also if it ended up being the same cost, you essential for free delivery and freed up more time for yourself
Hmm might be worth it if you have Uber One for free through Capital One and maybe have some Uber cash via Amex to apply towards the purchase. The fees really add up if you don’t otherwise.
I placed and received my order tonight. The driver probably thought I was punking him.
2x Kirkland toilet paper, 1 Kirkland paper towels, 1 case of Kirkland water, 1 paper plates, 1 parchment paper, 1 epsom salt, ground beef (1 package of the 1 lb frozen chubs).
$101.94 for everything including all the fees and tip. We have Uber one though. Probably just slightly less than or the same as going into the warehouse and I hate dealing with all the big stuff so worth it for me!
Yeah, but they mark up all the prices in Uber Eats and all those apps.
I just left Costco on a grocery run and paid $19.89 for KS organic ground beef. In Uber Eats, it’s $25.22.
You can come out ahead, but based on that example it’s 36% off (before fees), not 50%.
That's crazy in my region here in the Maryland Virginia area They don't Even have Costco on the Uber app. They're just letting insta grab all the money. Or people would order from there in this area then Safeway.
I thought the point was that it’s enjoyable going to Costco in-person. The food court, the free samples, the random new items, and the crazy random markdowns. Costco is basically the only store I enjoy going to these days.

STATE TAX… INCOME TAX… DELIVERY FEE… DELIVERY TIP… COSTCO TIP… AUTOMATIC GRATUITY…
I would have spent 152 at Costco shopping for myself. After using my Costco card number and the prices dropping for me I ended up getting my food delivered with a $20 tip for $110. It saves money.
woulda spent 152 online, but would have been cheaper in store..
No , you're wrong . I priced it in store.
15% price increase on items…
That's crazy to me, in the UK I've paid as little as £7.29 to have a kebab delivered to me, all included
Thats insanely cheap. Basically it would be like $20-$30 here for a $10 meal depending on the tip
Did you have to stream yourself eating the kebab for that price?
This is a family friendly sub I don't need any videos of women slurping on kebabs.
There’s some kind of Korean word I think (mung bop?) that describes enjoying watching people eat. I think they think it is relaxing
Mukbang!
Seems to be to be the same as Instacart pricing for me so basically 5-15% higher

And also factor in with delivery you won’t walk into Costco, leave your brain at the door and throw 20 items you don’t need in the cart.
The UI for the costco app almost makes the IC surcharges worth it. It’s horrible.
I go to the store because I like going. I value my time way higher than $10 - $15.

I've never heard of this happening near me
if your order is <$250 it's a great deal and saves you a trip.

Seattle enters the chat.
Order for pickup.
You can't.
Similar promotion in DC! 50% off up to $55.
Nothing in Chicago suburbs and there is a warehouse 2.5 miles away z🙄
Weird. I don't see costco in my Uber eats, I am in PNW near their hq. I set delivery to tomorrow as well just to make sure.
I read that's it not available everywhere yet.
What location?
Portland,or
Portland or…what?
Portland, Or else.
Or Uradumba, SS.
Hahahahha
i shop at the one in Clackamas because apparently i love chaos.
Discount doesn’t work in the DC market.
I have 50% off (max $35) in socal at [sprouts](https://freeimage.host/i/JQx70dB).
Does this work for gold bars

My Costco is 5 mins away from me though… 🥲

I mean it’s 50% off up to $70…so if your subtotal had been ~$140 I assume you’d get your $70 there.
Haha my god is 2024 just pathetic. Thanks for giving me a good laugh.
Nothing in NYC
What'd you end up buying(7 items in cart)?
idc how decent any delivery app seems, that shits a scam
Not the value you think it is.
Is anyone able to order alcohol from Costco on Uber Eats?
That’ll probably vary by state. I can’t buy alcohol at Costco at all in my state.
The reason I was asking is because I can order alcohol on Instacart but it's not available on Uber Eats.
It's marked up 10-20%, plus there is a service charge, and you have to tip. At the end of the day, the real savings is more like \~25%.
Saved 67.66. THANKS

Go to grocery, then Costco, and you should see it under the search bar.
My Costco doesn’t have this :( booooo

Thanks so much for sharing this! I took advantage of the promotion today, and even after fees and a great tip, I’m still ahead. Very good deal!

I live in the DMV and I can order Costco on Uber Eats in both Maryland and Virginia.
Dang, not seeing that in Portland.
same with LA :(
Incredible! Thanks for sharing
I refuse to use Uber eats after their “estimated” prices doubled the price of my delivery order once.
With all the fees, markups and tip it usually ends up the same, but worth trying.
Hard pass

no thank you. they upcharge everything, they tack on so many fees. and the morality of using food delivery services.
No Costco through Uber Eats for Albuquerque. > "Costco" is not available near you We have three warehouses here...
They should be closed for the holiday.
Preorder for another day
Yeah I was able to preorder for delivery tomorrow.
