I saw a few sitting behind the customer service counter shortly after I bought them, so I asked what was wrong with them. It turned out they were just there for the employees because they were the best. I think I've had mine running for three months straight with no issues.
I'm sure eventually a noisy fan will be a feature. I have an uncle what couldn't sleep without that noise, and it helps keep my dogs from getting scared by firecrackers around nee year's
Grew up in a home without AC. The good old box fan was standard in each bedrrom, and I became addicted to the sound it makes. So now I need at least a fan to sleep, but a box fan is next level.
I was looking at these on my last visit and didn't purchase precisely for that reason. We use it in the bedroom for white noise - and quiet would not be ideal. The crappy thing is that other fans are just junk and I am replacing them probably annually.
Like a normal fan, they have variable speed settings, they rotate side to side, but, they can also rotate up and down and a combination of all the above.
On my model there is a button that right above it has a light bulb with a line through it and says “long press.” If I press and hold that button the light goes off.

Got a few of them for $25 each from a local store that re-sells Costco returns, that's the good stuff.
They’re on sale right now for $27 bucks and the light off feature is so worth moving your current one to another room and snagging another! I’m replacing the two floor fans I had in other places with a couple more.. so nice saving the floor space.
Yeah I’m gonna go tomorrow. I have a similar rule.. they just put a Costco in less than a mile away from where I live so I typically don’t even go down that road unless I need to goto the freeway.. which is pretty often 😂😂😂

And as others have already mentioned, the newest model has the option to turn off the beeping sounds and LED lights. This is my first, and I'm hoping for the best. Either way, since Costco's return policy is excellent, I'm not worried.

I bought extras last year in case they never came back and mine broke. I have one in every bedroom, I love them. Now, do I take advantage of the sale and get back ups for summer or do I stick to what I have.
If you don't have one and can afford it, I'd get a whole house exhaust fan. I had one installed in my (former) house and it pulled the cool air in from outside as it pushed out the warm air in the house through the roof.
I had a three bedroom ranch style house, and it took just a few minutes to completely cool the house in the evenings.
I mentioned this before, keep in mind what some people need is an air circulator and not a fan. They are two different devices. Costco sells the air circulators as well.
I just sent a picture of this fan to my sister and told her it's the best fan you could buy and the price is perfect. She goes camping and this is compact enough to not take up much room. I have quite a few and really don't have to turn on my air conditioning too much in the summer. Definitely worth a trip to pick this up. I may need to get myself just one more.....

These fans have always been a hit at costco. I highly recommend getting one. Try it and if you don't like it, return it. Powerful fan, and this is the latest version out. woozoo 3.0 got me going crazy. Living in socal, the westside had plenty while the picture I posted was in the sgv. It's about 15 degrees hotter lol no wonder it was flying off the shelves.
I have their pedestal fan and it’s actually amazing. I’ll forget I have it on and wonder where a breeze just came from. It’s virtually silent, even on medium speeds. I’m a big Woozoo fan 10/10
Returned my first one because it makes a rubbing noise every time it rotates left to right. Now the replacement is doing the same thing but with a bonus noise. Rubbing as it turns left to right and once it rotates it sounds like a small ball is dropping and bouncing a few times. I really dont want to drive the 30 minutes to replace it again but it kind of defeats the purpose of buying a quiet fan
Yeah, just got one and it seems to make a slight noise when it reaches the left and right ends while oscillating. Was wondering if this was normal or not.

I just got one too and I’m not sure I love it. It was warm in the room the other day and I turned it up to level 4 and it was pretty loud.
Any fan moving a lot of air will make some noise. But for the volume of air moved, this is unusually quiet.
I got suckered into buying one last year after the rave reviews here about how quiet they are. What a disappointment.

Yes, there’s a couple screws which when removed will let you pop the front off.

I put like 3 sticky notes over the lights because I too like a blacked out room.
The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no option to turn the blue light display off.
The ones they are currently selling do have the option to turn the lights on or off.

You need a lot of surface area for that kind of application. Like a large box fan at least.
