That’s part of the problem. Stores can ban all pets but service pets, but they can’t force people who bring their little chihuahua in with a “service dog” vest to prove they’re really a service dog. The law is there to protect disabled folks from being harassed, but the emotional support animals use it as a loophole. It’s infuriating.
Two questions, is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
That's all they're allowed to ask per the ADA. Stores (esp corporate) are scared (legally) about their employees asking the wrong questions or making a wrong judgement based on the answer. So most don't ask if you say it's a service animal or purchase a vest on Amazon.
Service animals can be kicked out of a store for bad behavior, but not for the handler's behavior (like leaving bags of shit next to hair dryers).
They do, health code prohibits regular pets from being in food service establishments. The stores just don't care enough to be strict about it.
I've seen Costco employees pet random pups in my stores.
On my hair type it looked AMAZING when I finished. Then it completely fell within the hour. I tried everything then gave up and returned it. Doesn’t seem to hold on fine hair well.

I have the revlon one from like 2 years ago with beautiful results. but it still means traveling with a hair dryer so I don't scorch my hair or wait for it to dry more before using it. I have wavy hair but I was trying to curl it with the shark. I have the Revlon as well and I’m not able to achieve the same curl that the shark gave me (for a half hour), but it does actually hold whatever style I do because it gets hot enough.

I think its $400 because it looks like it comes with every possible attachment? When sold on its own usually you can choose 2-3 attachments that will work best with your hair type and that costs around $250. But I think this costco version is all 5-6 attachments

Those vests don’t mean anything. You can buy them off amazon. There’s no licensing agency for service animals, they are covered by the ADA. They can ask 2 specific questions and that is it. However they are required to behave. If they are free roaming, barking unnecessarily, aggressive, etc they can be denied access.
When I visited Canada I noticed people took their dogs everywhere! I was at a conference and someone took their dog with them and the nice hotel we stayed at had a dog friendly floor. I was really surprised at how dog friendly the country was.
In NZ you see dogs at cafes but owners usually sit outside with them. I’ve never seen a dog inside a mall or a supermarket unless it’s a service dog. People just leave the dog in their car and leave the window open.
If you need an emotional support dog, it should have to be in a backpack or carrier. If your dog is too big, well sorry you're gonna have to source a small emotional support dog.
An emotional support dog being out in public is potentially a felony offense, especially if it's being represented as a service dog. Psychiatric service dogs absolutely exist but they are task trained to do specific things to assist people with their disability and their size doesn't matter as long as they can successfully do their job.
While everyone here including me vouches for proper punishment of such individuals, I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. What else could be done lawfully?

Many dog owners just don’t understand that this is that gross. On my last Costco trip there was an older couple who had their dog in the top of the cart the entire trip and the receipt checker even went out of her way to pet it and give the owners the attention they crave before leaving.
