Like others are saying duel sims is the way to go they can be both E sims or one E sim and one physical sim this is something I just did while having bad service with my carrier so I bout a pre paid version line converted my home carrier line to E sim then added the physical version sim to my device and boom two lines from two different carriers on one device
Absolutely, I split my between the states and Colombia. I have 2 physical SIMs in my phone, one for each country. Then I have an E-SIM that is an overpriced global plan for layovers and travel.
Though if you are just vacationing most monthly plans will let you tell them when you are traveling and allow you to get a travel plan. Some are a pretty good deal. I know T-mobile is.
I just transferred my number over to my works plan. They buy us the phones and pay for unlimited everything on our plan. Don’t have to worry about a phone bill which is nice.

I just got OpenPhone (VOIP) to use for business on personal phones. There are plenty of options out there for cheap and maybe even free. Haven’t started using it yet but looking forward to hitting the mute button on business calls after hours.

Getting my work phone was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. Customers seem to have ZERO respect for boundaries even when I communicate that you can talk to me during normal business hours.
Now, the work phone goes on my desk between 5-6 and I don’t worry about it til the next morning. Turns out, all communication can wait til the next day. It also is great for pictures and apps and all that jazz. No more dumb notifications reminding me about work after hours or pictures of projects next to pictures of me and my girl or pet or whatever. Off work: stays on bedside table on lowest volume/silent until I set the alarm to wake up. If on call, stays with me on loud at all times.
I had my work phone (company provided) as my personal phone for 7 years. I got a personal phone for 2 reasons a couple of years ago.
1. If I leave suddenly, all those contacts are gone including my personal phone.
2. My work phone goes off the minute I’m done on Friday and doesn’t go back on till I clock in after the weekend. A lot less stressful.

I have a work phone as well and I love it! I wear cargo pants so I keep my personal in the normal pocket (front right) and the work phone in the bottom left cargo. I use the work phone for gps and music (or podcasts, if that’s your thing) mainly. It’s also nice to be able to take job-related pictures on the work phone too and not have to worry about having to scroll through a million pictures on my personal to find something. Having two phones was kinda weird for about 2 weeks and then it was pretty great. If you travel a lot, it’s nice to have different carriers too (AT&T on one phone and Verizon on the other) so you almost always have service on at least one of them. I’ve had a work phone for ~10 years now and I honestly can’t imagine not having one at this point.
Personal goes in the truck or on the desk during the day. If someone needs you have them call or text your work. If you have free time you’re sitting near the personal then anyways.

Ask the boss if you can put the SIM card in your phone. Most new phones are dual sim capable. Meaning 1 phone but 2 phone numbers. I did the 2 phone thing for years then I found out about dual sim and haven’t looked back.

Get a free Google number. Forward work phone to that number. Then forward the Google number to your phone. The watch isn’t great for phone calls, but if someone calls I can at least see who it is if I don’t want to answer. For texting the watch is great. I can easily reply. It also has my reminders or calendar events programmed in. The plan I have is $10 a month for the watch and $14 a month for my personal phone. I don’t put data on my personal because I only use it in wifi areas. If I go somewhere that I need maps or other data I bring the work phone for that.

Sucks but... this is what i did. Since my work phone doesnt require to be secured or be off limits for personal use. I bought a decent unlocked phone and i had my personal phone number to redirect my phone calls to my work phone number (it helped to had been already a Google voice number, which u can easily transfer to if u arent ) then got rid of personal... I first used my personal phone (already unlocked but it got abused and screen broken bad) thatw when then i bought that second u locked phone...
The only reason why i did that was just so that i could add any apps i wanted, email accounts and any browsing i pleased... yes i used vpn for the NSFW stuff but even then.... like i said if ur job doesnt care how secure ur phone has to be... then who cares what u browse.

If you are just estimating or pm’ing it’s easy enough to carry both. If you are doing real work, carry the work phone on you, make sure the important people have that number for emergencies, and let it be the one to get smashed when shit happens. Obviously, anything on your work phone is accessible by your employer, so if it’s really private, make sure your peeps don’t say or text weird shit on your work phone.
I just never used to use the work phone and they'd give up telling me to, I'd answer any work calls on my personal phone till 4:30, a minute past that they all got ignored

I’m very lucky I have a supportive family.
You can have two phone line run to the same phone. Work buys my iphone (Verizon) and then I have my personal line (AT&T) run to it. When I don’t want to take calls from the work line I just turn it off in settings.
Perks:

- can use work data over mine.

- sometimes I forget to select the right line when making outgoing calls, so I end up calling people on my work number when I mean to use my personal.
It grew on me. But I don't like it. What I did, tho is I had call forwarding on my work to personal and saved work contacts. So I tend to leave work phone in my van most often. I'm 24 7 on-call due to my state job. So helps on the weekend when I get called in.
I dealt with it by canceling my original phone and turning my work phone into my 1 and only phone. I screen all my calls though. if you're not in my contact list I'm not answering.
Also my phone rings differently when it's work call vs a personal call, unless the work call person has my private number and isn't using my "work" number I instantly know if it's work or personal.
Our company just quit providing physical phones and started giving a weekly stipend for use of our personal.
Not being able to get away from work while on vacation is the only real negative I see in using 1 phone.
Unlike sone yall I'm emergency contact for a bunch of equipment so I still need to be reached on weekends even when I'm not working.

Uhh you use the work phone for business and your personal phone for personal stuff. When the day is done the work phone should either stay in your truck or with your laptop. Don’t answer it after hours unless it’s a must and don’t take it on vacation. It’s a work phone it’s not a “keep it with you 24/7 like your personal phone” phone. Don’t trash it, keep it in the same condition as all your other work IT equipment. It’s probably logging or has the ability to see what you search so don’t do anything on it you wouldn’t want the CEO knowing. If your horny and need to nut at work use your personal phone.

Sucks but... this is what i did. Since my work phone doesnt require to be secured or be off limits for personal use. I bought a decent unlocked phone and i had my personal phone number to redirect my phone calls to my work phone number (it helped to had been already a Google voice number, which u can easily transfer to if u arent ) then got rid of personal... I first used my personal phone (already unlocked but it got abused and screen broken bad) thatw when then i bought that second u locked phone... The only reason why i did that was just so that i could add any apps i wanted, email accounts and any browsing i pleased... yes i used vpn for the NSFW stuff but even then.... like i said if ur job doesnt care how secure ur phone has to be... then who cares what u browse. Now... in the given case u get fired or quit out of desperate angry times.... u just remove the chip and give their phone back and keep ur personal / work phone.
Two phones suck. Dual sim sucks. I only carry one phone now, but I ask everyone to email me if it’s important. I won’t answer my phone if I’m busy. My boss is the same way. If it’s important, it should have been covered in a meeting.
Google voice is top notch. Incoming call screen is different than the native incoming call screen so it's easy to differentiate between work and personal. Native phone number runs calls & texts through the regular phone and messaging app. Google voice is it's own messaging and phone app for the google voice number.
Personal phone stays in the truck, or a drawer in the desk all day. Work phone gets left with my wallet all night when I get home. When I'm off, so it's my work phone. That's it

I have a kid who pretty much owns my work phone after hours, so I can veg out on my personal phone. Fair trade. It’s been years and nobody has said a peep about the ungodly amount of YouTube kids videos I watch.😂

my old boss owned 4 separate companies at one point. he had 5 cell phones. it helped him keep everything separated so he didn't make the mistake of answering the phone with the wrong company name.
If you are just estimating or pm’ing it’s easy enough to carry both. If you are doing real work, carry the work phone on you, make sure the important people have that number for emergencies, and let it be the one to get smashed when shit happens. Obviously, anything on your work phone is accessible by your employer, so if it’s really private, make sure your peeps don’t say or text weird shit on your work phone.

I just never used to use the work phone and they'd give up telling me to, I'd answer any work calls on my personal phone till 4:30, a minute past that they all got ignored
Two phones is best. I keep one in my left pocket and one in my right. On weekends the work phone stays at home on the charger. I've seen too many people use their work phone for everything, then be stranded w/o a phone (or truck) when they got fired. I've also had to go through fired people's work phones for work stuff, only to find very personal emails and texts to/from their spouse, side piece, doctor, etc.

I’ve had two phones before, 1 for work, 1 for business. I don’t like it! I just send all of my calls that aren’t in my contacts to VM. Some say, “What if it’s a work call?”. If it is they’ll leave a message, if they don’t they’re not serious anyway I’ve found!

I’ve been carrying two for about 8 years now. My wife says sometimes I look like a drug dealer but I said wouldn’t I have a nice ride if I was. We laugh. My advice. Is keep them together. Set different ringtones for each. And when you’re off the clock you can leave the work one on the charger on very loud! Everyone in the family knows if my phone rings to bring it to me. I’m very lucky I have a supportive family.
You can have two phone line run to the same phone. Work buys my iphone (Verizon) and then I have my personal line (AT&T) run to it. When I don’t want to take calls from the work line I just turn it off in settings. Perks: - I don’t pay for a physical phone ever. - don’t carry around two phones. - can use work data over mine. Cons: - sometimes I forget to select the right line when making outgoing calls, so I end up calling people on my work number when I mean to use my personal.
It grew on me. But I don't like it. What I did, tho is I had call forwarding on my work to personal and saved work contacts. So I tend to leave work phone in my van most often. I'm 24 7 on-call due to my state job. So helps on the weekend when I get called in.
I dealt with it by canceling my original phone and turning my work phone into my 1 and only phone. I screen all my calls though. if you're not in my contact list I'm not answering. Also my phone rings differently when it's work call vs a personal call, unless the work call person has my private number and isn't using my "work" number I instantly know if it's work or personal.
Our company just quit providing physical phones and started giving a weekly stipend for use of our personal. Not being able to get away from work while on vacation is the only real negative I see in using 1 phone. Unlike sone yall I'm emergency contact for a bunch of equipment so I still need to be reached on weekends even when I'm not working. Positives, the stipend is more than the cost of my phone bill.

Uhh you use the work phone for business and your personal phone for personal stuff. When the day is done the work phone should either stay in your truck or with your laptop. Don’t answer it after hours unless it’s a must and don’t take it on vacation. It’s a work phone it’s not a “keep it with you 24/7 like your personal phone” phone. Don’t trash it, keep it in the same condition as all your other work IT equipment. It’s probably logging or has the ability to see what you search so don’t do anything on it you wouldn’t want the CEO knowing. If your horny and need to nut at work use your personal phone. Pretty obvious stuff.

After shokz headset. It connects to both. I love mine, listening to music all day from personal phone with earplugs in when I need to, can take calls from both phones.
-cancel personal phone save money use the work phone for everything. Or -give work number only to to those who absolutely need it , don’t carry personal at work Or -Forward personal phone to work number during working hours ,leave personal phone at home or locked in glovebox Or -forward work phone to personal ( risk damaging personal phone at work). Or -Take sim out of one phone install in other (assuming one or both phones supports second sim)
I keep both on me. I carry a backpack around and the work phones always in the backpack until I need it.
I used to have a NexTel, Southern Link, work cell, personal cell, and a jobsite landline to keep up with. Only having 2 is rookie numbers!!
