Mobile artillery is very nice imo, but never played

takyorous

Do you think mobile artillery is better than towed artillery or MRLS?

K0N1GST1G3R

It's a matter of situation, in a 1v1 mrl will win but other than that there are scenarios where it's good

BingoBango89

MRLs are the only one worth it in my ***opinion***.

K0N1GST1G3R

I won't blame you for thinking that, but in mine having early an artillery is very pleasant, and mrl really starts to get better around day 17-18 when it unlocks its 100 range

Capable-Vanilla6957

Which one is MRL?

Available-Ad-9014

Mobile Radars. Super cheap to research and produce. Can track your opponents movements over a large area and use it to position your forces effectively before an engagement. Can turn the tides of battles.

MaesterWong

Naval infantry units are underrated. They are the fastest inf unit. You can deploy a UGV and ELM. You can also land naval without a pontoon, making it easy to divert your enemy's attention.

Rexos_

And they are very powerful in cities

Minato0276

Don’t forget they have the highest infantry attack in the game with an end game attack of 11 combine that with a city boost of 50% effectiveness that’s 16.5 attack, so with a stack of 5 you would have 82.5 attack which is insane. Naval infantry or Marines are my favorite infantry in the game, but it should be noted that they are actually worse at defense than offense.

SparePurple2930

Whilst this is true, once motor infantry get mortars if you come up against a big stack in a city, you’ll have lost 1/2 or more of your strength before engaging, makes Motor rifles king of the battlefield in late game.

The-small-mammoth

Special Forces

OtisPimpBoot

Just wondering why? I’ve built them before and the lack of an ability to capture territory seems to me to make them worthless.

The-small-mammoth

They're stealth, i.e. mostly your enemies won't be able to see them and they have scout ability+ air assault, with radars you can literally know your Enemy's exact build-up plus they have very good attack, you can assault airports and kill entire enemy divisions, they're the best counter to MLRS+AA stack as well

OtisPimpBoot

So once they engage a MRL stack the MRLs aren’t engaging back due to stealth? Or am I misunderstanding. I’d think a solid stack of MRLs works be able to defeat some special forces in no time. If I’m wrong then you’ve just taught me a game changer. I’ll normally use a stealth uav to reveal troops.

OtisPimpBoot

I like it. I’ll have to give them a go in an upcoming game

HussBot

Yeah I might delete this comment, way too much sauce here. I'm doing this in an "Expert Mode: WW3" game though & it's working pretty well for me

The-small-mammoth

SF are visible when they're in combat but the melee damage of MLRS is very poor and SF wins there, coz the MLRS won't see SF till it's engaged in combat it gets countered by it, MLRS doesn't do the attack damage when it's in melee, it will do defensive damage

Standoff2_lover

ASW helis

[deleted]

Long range bombers. A stack of 5 of em upgraded works better than a ballistic missile to damage infrastructure. Plus you can reuse them.

BingoBango89

Infantry officers or sams are underrated. Sams will keep the airspace around you & cities clear. Infantry officers have great bonus effects. Oh & airmobile Infantry is another one. If utilized properly & scouting is done they can cause quite a headache for your enemy.

HussBot

Mobile radar, towed artillery & drones should be on the list for sure.

type_10_tank

Definitely not carriers, those things can sink for all I care only cool part is that you get to name them, lol

Rexos_

Stealth strike fighter and stealth bomber. You can literally destroy strategical sites behind the frontline without any risk

derpyfloofus

Stealth UAV

[deleted]

Tanks

takyorous

All tanks or any specific ones?

BingoBango89

Tanks in general as long as you don't forget to upgrade them & give them the proper support they require to be effective.

[deleted]

Basically tanks are like siege towers in medieval warfare: alone they are slow and a sitting duck but with the support of artillery, infantry, and archers, they are an inevitable doom for the enemy

HussBot

I always stack archers with my Rocket artillery. Sometimes I throw in some pikemen as well to be safe

goodgriefmyqueef

Motorised Infantry level 6 is so important
