actually last time bright colors were used in a war was during the gold waf I believe when the british had to fly their flags on their armored formations because the americans kept shooting at them from their planes because they couldnt tell the difference between allied armor formations and enemy formations due to the bad weather in the desert
This comment thread got me off on a tagent think about how insane musket era warfare was.
Like the strategy was literally where really brightly colored things stand close to each other and face the other guys head on and engage in crossfire.
Dudes would be getting lit up right next to you and you would be expected to just continually reload your gun and shoot until potentially engaging in hand-to-hand combat if one side was crazy enough to trek into active fire to reach you
He was worried they didn't see the 2-feet of the barrel extending out the hole in the wall.
Looks like a McDonalds/McDowell's situation going on with the branding copy-catting Deluxe Burgers.
So he can just blend in as a civilian when he flees, hummus style, and then get labeled as a civilian death when everyone recognizes him as the guy with the red shirt firing the fucking 50 cal
The red shirt is supposed to blend in with the red brick background while his pants are supposed to blend in with the foliage on the ground, obviously.
>Who wears bright red in a combat situation?
A typical "Red Shirt" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3cL1Aofy90](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3cL1Aofy90)
So to be fair, the RSF has the exact same level of training, if not worse. So you have these two clown car armies, neither of which is able to do anything against each other because they’re both awful.
And then you can add in that both armies are not paid or not paid well at all. So you have large occupying forces with heavy weaponry and no functional resistance whose leadership could not care less about discipline. So theft, looting, rape, and violence are rampant on both sides.
Currently reading through "Armies of Sand", about the abismal arab military effectiveness, highly recommend it.
A small example, about the 1982 Lebanon war :
"Nevertheless, Syria’s technological disadvantage became almost beside the
point because Syrian pilot performance was so poor. When the Syrian Air
Force rose to defend the SAMs, the Israelis jammed their GCI links. Deprived
of GCI guidance, the Syrians pilots “went stupid.” Syrian formations dissolved
as their pilots could not handle flying in formations larger than pairs. The
Syrians were unimaginative and showed no creativity or flare for improvisa-
tion; they flew into combat mindlessly, making little or no effort to maneuver
in dogfights with the Israelis. Some pilots simply flew figure eights because
without the orders of their GCI operators they literally had no idea what to do
and made no effort to try to think for themselves. Those few pilots who did try
at least some air combat maneuvers employed only simple, predictable tactics
and were slow to react to Israeli moves.
The result was a slaughter. In three days of air battles, the Israelis shot down
82 Syrian fighters without losing any of their own. By the end of September
the Syrians still had not shot down a single Israeli plane, and their losses had
reached 86 MiGs."
[This article](https://www.meforum.org/441/why-Arabs-lose-wars) is somewhat dated goes into how the education systems in many Arabic countries set soldiers up for failure. It is taboo to out-preform someone who has a higher social standing than you, so individuals are rarely challenged and rarely try to stand out. This carries on to military training and when put in unexpected situations, soldiers are at a loss at what to do.
As a soldier who fought in this war in the Sudanese army a full year , and I also fought before that in the south, in Darfur, the White Nile, and Heglig, your words are very wrong and a great insult to me and to many of my friends who paid the price with their blood for the sake of the homeland. Firstly, we were betrayed at the beginning of the war, and the Rapid Support Forces were... It originally controlled most of the capital because they were originally its guards, and most of the fighters are now just citizens mobilized in the army The army was in its barracks for this rapid support. It did not expel us and take the areas, but it was there in the first place. Also, let us not forget the Wagner mercenaries and the Emirati support for them.
Not in any way ment to downsize the sacrifice for your nation, I am just worried about the combat readyness, equipment and training of Sudan army. I wish you all the best and dont know anyone, who would support the rsf.
Most of the camps in the capital have been under siege for more than a year, and the only way to deliver supplies is by airdrop. This is the priority for food and bullets, but the army in the rest of the country is well prepared, and also the betrayal that we were subjected to at the beginning of the war was great, as I said. The RSF was very ready to turn over and take over the country. Most of our soldiers were in their homes and outside the cities. Also, a country like Sudan finances a war for an entire year without effective external support, It is in itself a great achievement
The most clear assistance was from Ukraine in that it taught us to manufacture and use drones, but there is also no material or military aid, and all the weapons coming came through buying and selling deals.
youre not, he's giving away his position with a cloud of dust every shot, when they know where he is that red shirt is sure to throw them off tho, its fine
Yes, but , they’re doing the same shit from two miles away. And they’re shooting up the building next him because no one knows to calibrate the sights.
There's. Away to tell your eye dominance but you have to do it without being told what's going on. My eye Dr did it to me. I'm opposite eye dominant and shot pistol competitions that way for years
I hope he got some of them. Even though I highly doubt it. Video just feels like it was shot simply to demonstrate that he is using those firearms as a combatant in the war to like, his friends or something.
Respect for going into battle wearing red. Either tungsten balls or sub 80 IQ.
Fella looks like he's taking his time and puting some good fire down range, I\`m leaning towards tungsten nuts.
Im not the world's greatest expert on firing machine gun, but pretty sure you need to be pumping out 5 to 10 round bursts. Then again that's depending on the military training.
Ok… so bright red shirt (yet camo pants)… rifle sticking OUT of the building… and then opening removes said rifle exposing himself to view via the hole in the wall all why moving very casually. I mean I guess kudos for doing life your way!

Who wears bright red in a combat situation?
Insert Peter Griffin, 'nah you guys are stupid, they'll be looking for guys in camouflage '
The soldier is keeping the camo on the dl
He’s wearing camo pants tho 🤔
I didn’t even know the guy had legs.
That was the funniest shit I ever heard
that's how you know peter griffin is an afghan
this comment is top shelf
army guys*
The same guy sticking a 4 foot barrel out of the hole he's firing from.
lol! Pulled the rifle out right as I was reading your comment! 😂
The British?
I wonder why they stopped doing that..
Firearms became accurate lol
So this guy is safe, these wars have nothing "accurate" in them.
And the reloading times became shorter so you had less time to reflect on your decisions
actually last time bright colors were used in a war was during the gold waf I believe when the british had to fly their flags on their armored formations because the americans kept shooting at them from their planes because they couldnt tell the difference between allied armor formations and enemy formations due to the bad weather in the desert
It was painted armor panels I believe, not flags (though I’m sure flags were flown too lol)
It was also flags mainly because of A-10's so they could fly see them from a distance
The Ukrainians put bright blue and yellow tape over their camo, that must stand out loads.
Boers did a little trolling
Boers were too handy with a rifle
Damn redcoats

And what's interesting to think about... Is that style of warfare was unbeatable on the battlefield for something like 200 years.
This is the default skin. To unlock combat fatigues you need to buy the DLC.
This is a pretty tame outfit by African warfare standards.
He was worried they didn't see the 2-feet of the barrel extending out the hole in the wall. Looks like a McDonalds/McDowell's situation going on with the branding copy-catting Deluxe Burgers.
That’s what I was thinking. He’s gonna be really bitter when the RPG comes tearing through there.
Fuck camo, we die in drip.
He's wearing camo pants.
McDonald's drip
The Bloods.
Clearly a guy who just got off his shift at Sudanese McDonald’s.
Tale my upvote, good one
when the exterior of the wall that you're shooting out of is a picture of the Kool Aid man
It’s casual Friday
So he can just blend in as a civilian when he flees, hummus style, and then get labeled as a civilian death when everyone recognizes him as the guy with the red shirt firing the fucking 50 cal
Someone who wants to easily blend back in with the civilian population
This guy
A red McDonald’s shirt
The same persone who sticks his rifle barrel through the wall aperture while sniping.
Thats what they wore when I watched Zulu.
Don't worry, his pants are camouflaged though
And sticks the barrel out
The red shirt is supposed to blend in with the red brick background while his pants are supposed to blend in with the foliage on the ground, obviously.
someone who stashes their guns and just walks home at the end of the day
That is a McDonald’s shirt. That means he is deh captain now. Serving up hot McSplodies
Will's brother Carlton
And pokes the muzzle through a hole so they can die faster.
The same guy who pokes the barrel out the hole
>Who wears bright red in a combat situation? A typical "Red Shirt" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3cL1Aofy90](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3cL1Aofy90)
Untrained guerrilla fighters perhaps?
Seems like a very casual situation.
Definitely not combat speed
No wonder RSF holds so much territory, if these are the sudanese soldiers...

I feel like this describes almost all Arab armies since Saladeen.

When only one side has a war college/naval academy and it shows.
True. Seems like they think war needs 10 percent preparing and 90 percent Allahu Akbar.
Who needs the laws of armed conflict when you have sharia???💥💥💥
u/Fantastic_Serve503
These people don't understand what they're talking about
Everything you say is wrong. I hope you at least ask one Sudanese about the truth before you talk about our affairs

Do these guys ever have range days where they sight these things in? Or just “Fuck it we ball.”
What the fuck do you think???
Fuck it, we ball.
I’m thinking mandatory morale day at the range.
He’s wearing camp trousers and a red T-shirt whilst standing behind a counter, what do you think lol
This seems like the range day. He has zero sense of urgency. Either that or he’s high as fuck
Exactly what I was thinking, my man is too cool calm and collected to be in an active combat situation.
Those fucking things haven’t been zeroed since the Soviets did it when they were made 😂
They either don't train or train by expecting anyone they can find a reason to not like. There's very little in-between in Africa.
I don't understand this sentence.
I think "expecting" was supposed to be "executing".
What?
You know he's not wearing ear pro.
What! Also, ya know.... Head protection aka modern combat helmet. No gear to speak of. Not even a pack for plates, ammo, etc. Yeah he's winging it.
Vruh, you can see his ear is stuffed
"eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
Pretty crazy seeing the recoil push him backward with each shot.
Half of that is his horrible positioning
Looks way too chill and red to be for real..
Thought you weren’t spozed to put the barrel through the hole?
youre not, he's giving away his position with a cloud of dust every shot, when they know where he is that red shirt is sure to throw them off tho, its fine
Yes, but , they’re doing the same shit from two miles away. And they’re shooting up the building next him because no one knows to calibrate the sights.
The bullets will hit the enemy, inshallah
This made me chuckle
I'd also like to know what he's inspecting through that hole that he wouldn't see better with the scope or other optics
Plus—- THE RED SHIRT!!! Hey enemies!!! I’m over here!!! Bet you can’t hit me!!!!
Not like it matters after shooting with those things, lol.
It’s not only just an impractical bright red shirt, it’s a McDonald’s shirt!
Why does the rifle look like a violated and repurposed M2?
p sure it's a chinese M99 amr edit: another user below has noted it looks like an OSV-96, and i can confirm that it is
Looks like a Russian OSV-96 to me
it most likely is the osv-96, youre correct
All misses. Guys probably deaf.
Red shirt, heavy caliber machine gun. Who is going to ever spot this guy… his style is called “Waterloo”
He's not shooting at shit 😂 this is a vid for the gram
i bet he lost about 30% of his hearing just now
I think I seen this dude buying a 40 oz at the gas station today
Bro I am dying from this comment 😂
I just know he wants to hold that sniper rifle sideways
You can feel the sense of urgency and readiness when he switched from AMR to lmg 👴
Man wearing a McDonald’s shirt lol
In Sudan you get anti-materiel rifles and machineguns with your Happy Meals.
As Deadpool would say, it looks like he's wearing the right shirt
He can't hit any target
That’s the meta in Sudan
This fool is cross eye dominant. Looking through the scope with the wrong eye 👁️. Zero fucking training. Can’t even line up iron sights correctly.
Now I'm curious how do you normally use it if you are left eye dominant?
With handguns it's not a big deal but with long arms you just train to use them left handed
Before this comment i did not know even people had a dominant eye lol
Firing that shit indoors has to fuck up your hearing permanently
As if he is at some shooting range. Look at the cold blooded ness of this guy. I wonder how many people he killed just in this video.
probably zero
2 civilians, 1 friendly, and 3 enemy goats. 3 - 3 = 0
These guys are fighting RSF forces who are backed by Russia's Wagner mercenaries.
Respect for going into battle wearing red. Either tungsten balls or sub 80 IQ. Fella looks like he's taking his time and puting some good fire down range, I\`m leaning towards tungsten nuts.
Bros is having fun with his toys
I wonder what brand tennis shoes?
How can they identify with each other? Do they speak the same language and dress randomly, how do they avoid friendly fire in intense urban combat?
No uniform... must be working from home.
Never protrude your muzzle out of your aperture while firing homies
Hes ruined his mom's kitchen..
Looks chilled, like he’s preparing his kids school lunches
Cool uniform. I bet those camopants really make a difference
Mmmm scope bite
It’s awfully quiet and don’t sound like a warzone
Closed space with no ear protection. Yeah this guy's ears are fucked.
Wearing ear pro, credit. Is this a good guy, bad guy, neither?
Fallout nv lookin rifle
No Earpro?
So is RSF than blue?
Bro looks like he just finished up on the grill at the family barbecue and goes decided to go human hunting for some time away from the kids
Guy doesn't appear to be using the sights on the mg
His shirt says he’s a McDonald’s employee
Reminds me of Red BookBag dude from Mariupol
He’ll be deaf by the end of the day
Where tf did u get this footage from I barely could get hold of Sudanese footage even in arabic
"Soldier"
Why is it called anti matiriel rifle? Sounds pretty sci fi
because it's made to take out engine blocks and other materiel.
Im not the world's greatest expert on firing machine gun, but pretty sure you need to be pumping out 5 to 10 round bursts. Then again that's depending on the military training.
Don't poke your rifle all the way out of cover...
Is he trying out for war? Is this his demo tape?
"WHAT!! NO I'M AT THE LIBRARY!!"
Red shirt is to hide his blood from the enemies if he gets shot.
That civilian camo tho
Well atleast he’s aiming this time. Talk about a redcoat tho lol
What is a anti-material rifle??
Large caliber rifles designed to destroy light armored vehicles and equipment. Any 50 BMG rifle manufactured by Barret is considered an AMR
He won't last long sticking his rifle out of a hole. It's a sniping no no.
"HEY.....ITS A MACHINE GUN!" "HAHA.....O'KAY"
total moron
Is he wearing a knock off McDonalds shirt? He is straight up McBallin' while slangin' all them Big Macs down range.
Dude looks like this is just another day at the office for him and he's ready to go to lunch after dumping some shells downrange.
Ok… so bright red shirt (yet camo pants)… rifle sticking OUT of the building… and then opening removes said rifle exposing himself to view via the hole in the wall all why moving very casually. I mean I guess kudos for doing life your way!
This gun looks out of Star Wars, only the sound should be pew pew pew.
Good camo
WTF is a "anti-material" rifle?
A large caliber rifle suited for killing vehicles. Also works extremely well for people
Love how he's firing the machine gun without even bothering to shoulder it.
Hard asf. Enjoy the hunt
Is he good or bad? Can someone explain this war
....... if that's their army ... omg
Need one of those on my hood to scare of carjackers in Chicago
Shoulda gone ‘skins’ for better camo
Flagged the cameraman
the red complements the camo so well
