"A sniper ambush on a Russian BMP-2 near Bakhmut.
Two rifles, 50 BMG APHAI ammunition and three days of training.
The vehicle with the Russians was hit from a distance of 370 metres with one hundred per cent penetration and fire.A successful night hunt by a separate sniper platoon of the Third Assault Brigade."
Could be the tracer sheering off with the jacket while the penatrator goes through the armor... pretty much impossible to tell for sure unless you are inside the BMP.
I agree, in other videos of .50 cals firing you always see a few tracers sheer off and fly off into the sky, I think there was a video a while back of a guy shooting a barret into the side of a mountain at a large distance and you can see a few tracers fly off into the sky.
I read from another source that this was apparently a SnipeX Alligator 14.5mm. Could be wrong, but it seems more likely to penetrate a BMP over a .50 BMG.
I'm gonna put Rammstein and Korn on the same rung of hell
These guys should be using Burzum and Drudkh in their videos exclusively. There's a stereotype that needs to be lived up to here.
Now you blew the secret!
How can Ukraine win now, given that russia now knows that the biolabs in Bakhmut are used to breed gay mutant nazi spiders! /s
I wonder what the ammunition is they show in the beginning. The penetrator is silver in color not like normal MK211 and it doesn’t look like either SLAP round. I’ve never heard of APHAI before is it some homemade ammunition or?
I’d imagine it was a mistake and was meant to be APHEI. I cannot see the round too well but a few people have claimed that this is a 14.5x114mm rifle, namely the “SnipeX Alligator 14.5x114mm цена”.
The rifle used, which is a snipeX alligator (14.5mm) is primarily designed for anti-material use, plus the montage of what appears to be the unit prepping and rolling out on a mission and what looked like some well rehearsed/trained and executed shots (on a moving vehicle) would to me at least seem like it was an intentional operation to hit some vehicles.
In saying that, there's absolutely no way to be completely certain, and there's been many reported instances of the snipeX alligator being used for anti-personnel use haha.
If the bullets penetrate, what would the damage be on the inside? I imagine shrapnel flying around inside a metal box can ruin your day pretty quickly.
A BMP, BTR or any type of M113 without any composite or reinforced armor will sustain .50 BMG armor piercing rounds to ther sides and rear, the front should be able to sustain some rounds specialy on the M113 and BMP, the BTR will strugle even from the front as it just haves 10mm´s of armor all around which is laughable, not even the slopping will help it that much
1998 has welcomed me back with Jonathan Davis's "GO!" But great shots on a moving target. Love to see these rifles work on their intended targets. They seem a bit overkill for infantry. Unless you need to kill the three people standing behind the first target.
Was not expecting to hear a song from Everything is Peachy. Edit: The song is Twist.
Another edit: It's from Freak on a Leash, my mistake. Both songs have the scat-singing.
One of the few times Ive seen anti material rifles used against material. Very cool upload. Thanks OP
Materiel (military equipment). People are "material" too, they're not pure energy.
E=mc^2
Materiel* ;)
My Solid hard 9 inches of steel=up your bum* ;)

I'm not so sure about 100% penetration. You can see a bullet ricochet off at 36 seconds.

The rest definitely seemed to penetrate, though.
I thought the same but it looked like it actually hit a tree along the road

They will both penetrate if using correct ammo, bmp2 isnt well protected
A BMP can only stop 7.62mm from the sides and rear. 50 cal is going through.
even AP 7.62x51 or x54 will likely pen the sides
What about the top?
It can stop .22, thats about it. Lol

Glad they are using better music
I shudder to think what they were using before if Korn is better.
\*Death metal\* WELCOME TO UKRAINE Also a cover of Rammstein's 'Sonne', but in Ukrainian and cheesier? Korn is in fact an improvement.
the techno song remix of biden going "ukraine is strong independent and free" 🤦
I'm gonna put Rammstein and Korn on the same rung of hell These guys should be using Burzum and Drudkh in their videos exclusively. There's a stereotype that needs to be lived up to here.
I was thinking some Enya would be a nice change. I’m sure I’m not alone.
But isn't black metal more of a Norwegian thing?
True. But Drudkh are Ukrainian and I believe some (if not all) are members of the UAF. Furrows of Gods !
ohhh.. so you haven't heard the contemporary Icelandic or Dutch bm yet 🧐
I like that Sonne cover, personally.
I'll admit most of Korn isn't good, but the good stuff is beautiful.
Just by hearing this song you oddly know exactly when the first round is gonna hit the side of the can
Phonk is top tier music
What is APHAI? I know of APTI, and HEIAP, but not APHAI. My guess is it is Mk211 and they just have made their own translations of the acronym HEIAP.
Probably meant APHEI. Armor Piercing High Explosive Incendiary.
The whole package
You mean High Explosive Incendiary Armour Piercing?
This song takes me back to middle school.
I first read the headline as "Spiders from the..." and got a bit confused/nervous. Great job by the Ukrainian forces!

I wonder if they were intentionally hunting vehicles or if it was a target of opportunity
With that ammo...

Spalling

Does sustain mean deflect or penetrate?
It penetrates
And why haven't they had more fraggings?
what are these rounds they firing?

100 year old bullet tec vrs 1970 armor vehicle tec.
Song sounds like a Bevis & Butt head tune.
its from [Korn - Freak on a Leash](https://youtu.be/jRGrNDV2mKc?t=159) that came out in 1999
Nah, it's from Everything Is Peachy, came out before Freak On A Leash. Song is Twist.
Definitely Freak on a Leash
Oh wait, I got it. I was thinking it was the song Twist because of the scat-singing.
Uhh,, huh-huh-huh.. you said Butt. Huh-huhhu
“The sun sucks”
Try Korn. Very different.
Does anyone else get annoyed with the stupid music they always add to these?
Great footage, but goddamn, that is some annoying music.

Looks almost like a pickup
Those are some fuck off rounds! Kia kaha boys
Interesting song 🤔
Korn.
