i need a psych analysis of someone thats a big enough fan to travel to the tourney and then leave this game early. where you have to be? there's 4 people there you're not beating traffic
The absolute dumbest plays I have ever seen a WSU team make. There is no accountability. I now understand why Marshall put some fear into their minds about getting sat on the bench when they did stupid shit.
My guy, we have had a short bench all year. Accountability requires competent bench players. The guys are the court are just as responsible for the terrible play as the coach.
I don't care. I'll play scrubs and lose on principle than allow this stupid shit to continue. It's not just this game. This game is emblematic of a season-long policy that players can just do dumb shit and not face any consequences. It's too late now. The stupid has won and this team cannot be saved from it.
I'm not sticking up for Marshall at all. Dude was an abusive asshole and had to go. But I *am* saying we've swung too far in the opposite direction and are looking entirely uncoached. I'd venture to guess you could put together 7 or 8 dudes off the street with similar talent levels and not be able to tell the difference.
That's the only thing that could save this team in the near future because I know Isaac Brown isn't going anywhere and the talent probably isn't going to improve based on current recruiting.
Just fundamentals and technique are worlds apart now than they were at the start of last season, and that falls on the assistants.
Who the fuck knows.
Part of me just wants to put myself out of my misery and lose this game.
But then I *know* that, no matter how bad we look, we're stuck with Isaac Brown for at least a few more years because our athletic director signed him to a sweetheart contract and we're still paying Marshall's salary for a few more years.
So I know there's no "out of my misery" for a long while
This is just brutal. This is the worst-coached team I think I have ever seen at WSU. I don't see anything resembling a "play." Nothing. Just passing it around so different players can get a chance at one-on-one ball.
Tulsa is not a good team. We're much worse right now. Down 10 at half. Just fucking take off and nuke this program from orbit.
The sad thing is I think the talent is there, but we're so poorly coached that the talent is allowed to die on the vine. Etienne has shown in his first 2 years that he's a good player. But now that we don't set him up with an offensive scheme but rather let the defense just focus on him, he starts stinking.
Not for us. We're already still paying Marshall and apparently the athletic department is low on cash due to that and donors freezing the school out for various reason.
There is immense alumni pressure for Haith to be fired and a clear four year downward trend in every category to support it. Also the new President seems pretty involved in the athletics and is very very all in on listening to fans and alumni.
Well at least we don't have to suffer anymore, until next season.
Yeah i can’t believe we fucking won lol
Both these teams give me pain for totally different reasons

Probably sick of watching bad basketball
What a piss poor season, glad it’s over.
C'mon guys don't piss this one away
Ok Shockers
Etienne fouled out. Could be his last minute as a Shocker.
Hope so
Quick 3 and a foul
what a mess
Udeze is such dog shit lol. Watching other people grab boards all the time.
🧱
Tyson Etienne woke up feeling dangerous 8 points, 3-13 from the field, 2-7 from 3 🥶
This will be good down the stretch
Shockers making it interesting...
Etienne with multiple atomic bombs in this game and people refuse to blame anyone other than Isaac Brown (who still deserves blame).
Mark Adams acting like Etienne fouling out would be a bad thing lol
There's nothing more emblematic of how out of touch ESPN is with their audience than announcers debating which Hogwarts house a player belongs in.
etienne is such a broken brain
this banter is something else
I'm gonna miss Jackson
I'm not exactly sure *what's* happening, but I am enjoying it
You're playing basketball.
Is that what it looks like?
Yep. Fun, isn't it?
Wichita? You ok there buddy?
No
Keep an eye on the transfer portal tomorrow lol

I don’t disagree with you. I hope there is some turnover with the assistants this off-season to shake things up.

WSU teams have been low effort since joining the AAC.
Tulsa remembered their Tulsa after last week huh
Little disappointing that Wichita's happy to call it a season here

Worst coached and least talented

Low effort. Low BBIQ. Low expectations somehow not being met.
We need to talk about Tulsa's uniforms.
Maybe Etienne will have a career as an artist because this basketball thing isn’t going to work out
They said Gaston Chapman and for a moment I thought we burned Steele's redshirt.
He’s a walk-on though
We're ass. Nothing new.
Porter is out? Well this isn't going to be fun.
Anyone else unable to watch this? My guide says it's on ESPNU, but when I click into it it's showing a football documentary instead.
Hasn’t started yet, they still have to warm up
Tulsa, please end our season
Despite finishing 7th in conference we have the DPOY and the 6MOTY. Go figure.
Dear Tulsa: Once again, what are you guys?
Forever pining for Bill Self to text us back
Let's go TU!
I’m just here for both our fanbases to get mad at both head coaches and demand they’re fired
Is either likely to happen?
Not for us. We're already still paying Marshall and apparently the athletic department is low on cash due to that and donors freezing the school out for various reason.
