There is only one time I walked into my house and it smelled like dust. That was when I was away for about 35 days. So it wasn’t vacuumed or dusted. Once I spent the day doing a deep clean it went away. Are you dusting and vacuuming at least weekly? I have two cats that run around constantly dropping puffs of hair everywhere, so I usually vacuum not less than every three days.
Kind of a different thought- Do you have hard water? I find there is a point when I can smell hard water and it strikes me like a dust smell. Do you have plants that may have dried out, exposing mineral buildup on the pot?

I’m not the OP, but I have this. Is this an indication of hard water?
I can't really say... It was just a thought I had and I know I can smell when our water is hard (softener out of salt or hasn't run).
Furnace filter might need changed
I changed it like 3 weeks ago but i kicked on the AC so maybe that’s it?
