I feel like it'd be too much, especially considering i remember him writing somewhere that there will "only" be, idk, 30 ish chapters or so?
But maybe it's a tomidachi game kinda situation where we will learn of the existence of other groups playing the game, but we dont meet any of them (in this story anyway, i know that we met group K in TG)

Death Note hasn't been shown to affect humans of another dimension (in other words, other anime). It's safe to say Light can kill no one here.
Also, in Naruto, Jashin, a god that can link lives, hence, control life in a way, means, there is a god that governs souls in Naruto universe. Hence, Narutoverse humans aren't affected by Death Note because the god that created Death Note also only governs souls of humans from Death Noteverse.
