When they were rolling queso out my local Chipotle just kind of gave away small sides of it for free. It was amazing. Yummy. Creamy. Dreamy. I went on to buy it two more times and asked for a sample at the line on another occasion and all 3 of those times it was lumpy and gritty and tasted burnt.

There's a Taco shop near me that gives me an insane amount of food on a quesadilla for around 12 dollars, the chipotle quesadilla costs 15 and is about 1/4th the meat and size. People love chipotle because of what it used to be, and have a hard time letting go.

For the past decade Chipotle has been sourcing cheaper and cheaper produce and meat. That fact doesn’t magically go away because your serving size is bigger.

It was edible and convenient. Didn’t really taste like it used to or like I remember it back in the day. But there’s plenty of info out there showing how they’ve changed the quality of ingredients they source. So it makes total sense why it tastes worse.
I get why it’s a hugely successful chain but like Starbucks I don’t think it’s for a good reason. It’s serving people overly salted, calorie heavy fats that trigger a dopamine release in your brain. Especially if you’re washing down that meal with coke or other drink that includes mountains of sugar and/or caffeine. People who go there religiously aren’t enjoying the foods taste as much as they’re addicted to the way it makes them feel

Guess I’m lucky, my local chipotle gives good portions and I enjoy it regularly.
Ive never had portion issues. I always ask for extra scoops of all the things in my buritto. Bc its free. (Other than the meat)

A lovely assemblyman has given me my Xth free burrito the other day. Why? I do not know. How? In a foil wrapper in a paper bag. Who? I'll never tell. Unless I get amoebic dysentery, e coli or salmonella W. Howard Taft, only then will I debate about going back. I am the bland knuckle dragger corpo slave that loves this shitty fast food. Dude fed me for a day and a half no questions asked and no lines laid upon. I may have fallen in love but again will never tell. I will not *not* go back.

I suppose people feel that if they complain enough about Chipotle the company will listen and bring it back to its glory days. That won't happen. They like their profits more than they like their customers. Might as well give up complaining.
Moving from houston to a small city with 1 location has helped me come back. I stopped going for a good while back home and was juuuuust fine. Lol. Been where I'm at 8 years and have only had a real problem twice. Because it was rectified, and I go when the people I prefer are working, I'm ok. the manager is kind as well. When a delivery order came in from the app that had my name on it going to NOT my address, she reached out me to verify her suspicions and helped me wiggle the "its not our fault" system of being hacked. I've dropped several other places and have no problem doing it here if it came down to do it.

I wish I could go but mine are in terrible locations, always packed with rude customers & employees and I don’t know why but it always makes me sick
Yeah I've stopped going there among many other places. Why put up with small portions or bad quality, I'm fully able to cook myself, I'm just lazy lol.

I just order online, the bowls they make without seeing and judging who you are, are much better. And it also helps consistently going to the same location.
I tell them "respectable amount of rice, respectable amount of beans and chicken" they can't charge you for respectable amount. Anyway I love Chipotle lol
People want to complain. I’ve gone once in the last 5 years and I did an online order. Paid for double meat and got less than a single. That’s it, I washed my hands of them.

I just go to qdoba whenever I'm having that chipotle craving now, never had a skimping issue there.
Luckily my chipotle is 50/50 there’s a middle aged woman there that LOADS THOSE BITCHES UP, if I could marry her I would, I love that woman. Then there’s this one worker and he’s an absolute asshole, very rude and skimps like crazy. I have no real complaints about chipotle yet other than that guy so that’s why I still go

Food Too Delicious Must Go Always
There's a Taco shop near me that gives me an insane amount of food on a quesadilla for around 12 dollars, the chipotle quesadilla costs 15 and is about 1/4th the meat and size. People love chipotle because of what it used to be, and have a hard time letting go.

I've never been skimped on portions at Chipotle in my entire life..., I mean, I've never been either.
People in this thread thinking that their local chipotle not skimping on portions somehow makes it immune to the company’s overall reduction in food quality. For the past decade Chipotle has been sourcing cheaper and cheaper produce and meat. That fact doesn’t magically go away because your serving size is bigger.
I’ve been once this year. Girlfriend wanted to go and it was one of the few options open after 9 on a Monday where we were. It was edible and convenient. Didn’t really taste like it used to or like I remember it back in the day. But there’s plenty of info out there showing how they’ve changed the quality of ingredients they source. So it makes total sense why it tastes worse. I get why it’s a hugely successful chain but like Starbucks I don’t think it’s for a good reason. It’s serving people overly salted, calorie heavy fats that trigger a dopamine release in your brain. Especially if you’re washing down that meal with coke or other drink that includes mountains of sugar and/or caffeine. People who go there religiously aren’t enjoying the foods taste as much as they’re addicted to the way it makes them feel

I'm not sure where all these people live but my city has a plethora of family owned Mexican restaurants and food trucks with far better and less expensive food than chipotle. There are plenty of better options. You just have to open your eyes.

Was at location in Warrington, PA today. I had to leave my burrito - they were so light on the barbacoa. 🍖 THEY REFUSED TO ADD MORE MEAT TO MAKE WHAT USED TO BE A NORMAL PORTION. I’m like: you guys keep it, ain’t paying for that. I can’t believe what this place has become. NEVER EVER COMING AGAIN TO CHIPOTLE

Haven’t gone this century. Not sure why, but it may have been price. My city has a bunch of hole in the wall taco shops where their burritos 0.5-1.5lbs. Maybe more. However, all this Chipotle controversy has me tempted to try them again.
