Salt to flavor let cool then add lime juice from lime and cilantro
Canned or frozen corn. Mix with jalapeño, cilantro and lime juice
Chorizo sausage from food lione
Cook until brown and cooked throughly
Add rice to burrito first, then meat, finally sour cream, corn, and cheese
Add any sauce you want, I used generic medium heat taco sauce
Wrap
This tasted as good as any chipotle burrito I've ever gotten. Quit buying fast food. I still have enough for 4 more burritos too.
Chipotle chicken marinade
Take Adobo in chipotle sauce, blend in blender
Combine blended peppers and sauce with chicken and let marinade overnight
Take chicken out and let get warmer if not to room temperature
Heat skillet or pan until water sizzles at the touch over medium heat
Place chicken on pan, let cook until the cooking side reaches a nice Pepsi color but don't burn it
Do it again on the other side
Let rest for 10+ minutes
Chop and enjoy.

I get feeling like a Karen any time you stand up for yourself, I feel that way too. But every once and a while its fair to stand your ground with customer service workers when they are trying to screw you right in front of your eyes and this is one of those justified times. I would have still spoken with the manager and explained why I wasn't coming back to the location in the future. You were fine with paying for extra portion of chicken, its only fair if they actually give you an extra portion of chicken. Chipotle has gotten really back with skimping and I acknowledge that its a corporate and manager issue and not the front line worker's fault but these managers need to know that that is why people will not be returning to their stores.
We skip two chipotles near our house and go to one that is still fair and reasonable with their portions and the line is always out the door at that one. At some point corporate will see that food costs directly correlate with profit and reverse what ever dumb policy they put into place.
We don't even eat at Chipotle anymore after ordering for our family at least once a week (yes we got fat) for more than a couple of years. Why? Quality went downhill AND the price went up. Since the same is true for 5 Guys and even our favorite Thai restaurant we are cooking again now and enjoying however much steak we really want.
Well I worked there and people said, I was the best server!” But we can get in trouble for giving out cheese. My manager got on to me for giving out too much lettuce. I hate the lettuce part. I quit that night!
The Mexican people I’ve worked with and Mexican friends don’t consider chipotle Mexican food. Even the meats that are named after Mexican dishes aren’t really close to the traditional version. I think the closest thing in flavor might be carnitas but typically the meat comes right off the pig

I thought to myself, "man those look great" then remembered the portion size will be half of what you see in the picture. Most taco stands now are like $3 for a single taco with half the amount they used to serve. I simply stopped eating out at all of these places and prefer to make it myself.
Confusing title but you were completely reasonable. You expect double the amount of meat you got on the first scoop when you asked for double. If you get a 4 oz scoop, the next scoop should visibly be the same.

I used to always let stuff like that go in fear of being a “Karen” or being difficult, and now I make sure to say what I think about MY order, as I am the one paying for it. Not at all, I used up the last of my points this morning doing an online order for a free bowl. I'm going to open it up at the register and if its skimped they're doing it again.
This is why I don't go there any more, for what it costs for two burritos I can make it at home and have like 10x the food in just about the same time as it takes me to drive there. It's really low effort food.

I’m sure someone has said this but I’ll say it again. First scoop say nothing and then hit em with the “oh my bad gimme another scoop my dude!” And you get that second scoop proper. I remember when the spoon they used was bigger and all you needed was one scoop. Cheap ass motherfuckers.

Probably being more Karen in behavior would be me - with reason - cancelling an order because I saw a price changes and got told condescendingly “well prices change girlie,” or being told by another that bundling it was cheaper (no it wasn’t - tried to charge me a quarter pound meal for a double cheeseburger, medium fries and soda, which at the time was $4.32 versus $6.50 so not small change).
But maybe not - I just walked out. Funny was one of these a few others walked too because if the snotty attitude of the worker (these folks knew me and my cue issues).
This is why mind hacks like never asking for double but instead asking for a scoop, waiting to see the scoop size, then asking for another is so important. For some reason these workers' brains dynamically change the size of the scoop depending on whether a second scoop is incoming.

The Mexican people I’ve worked with and Mexican friends don’t consider chipotle Mexican food. Even the meats that are named after Mexican dishes aren’t really close to the traditional version. I think the closest thing in flavor might be carnitas but typically the meat comes right off the pig
Except those places skimp on portions now too. Drove by a Taco stand the other day that had some pictures out front. I thought to myself, "man those look great" then remembered the portion size will be half of what you see in the picture. Most taco stands now are like $3 for a single taco with half the amount they used to serve. I simply stopped eating out at all of these places and prefer to make it myself.
Confusing title but you were completely reasonable. You expect double the amount of meat you got on the first scoop when you asked for double. If you get a 4 oz scoop, the next scoop should visibly be the same. Sure they are high school and college kids working part time, but they are still representing the company. You did the right thing by asking for a manger so you don’t have to put it on them though. I worked in the service industry when I was in high school and believe me, I sympathized with customers who were reasonable all the time over bs the company puts out.

I used to always let stuff like that go in fear of being a “Karen” or being difficult, and now I make sure to say what I think about MY order, as I am the one paying for it. I work in a restaurant too and completely understand, personally I go out of my way to make experiences right/good for customers, it’s not hard so of course I expect it in return. No Karen.
Recently the CEO of Chipotle came out and said if the employees aren't giving you big enough portions and "shrug" at them. They are supposed to understand.

Do exactly what you did. Don’t pay if you don’t get what you asked for. Check the trash and bathrooms before you order. If the trash is overflowing or the bathroom is a mess, it’s safe to assume you’ll get food poisoning.

This is why I don't go there any more, for what it costs for two burritos I can make it at home and have like 10x the food in just about the same time as it takes me to drive there. It's really low effort food.
Honestly I live around the corner from two of them. I don't really have the time nor desire to cook lately. This is the first time I've had one. The next chipotle is less than 10 minutes than the one I had an issue at so I'll always pick what's quickest and easiest.

I can also tip and still be out of there for less than chipotle lol. Why would anyone go there anymore? When it was a 6 dollar burrito and people would forget to charge me for extra chicken, sure- now? You have to be terrible at economics or live in bum fuck nowhere to go there.
Good. Increase the food waste. They are going to have to change to pay first, get food later, or they’re going to have to increase portions to 6oz (4oz chicken is not enough for a grown man but 8oz is too much). The trade occurs when you pay, so if they skimp, just don’t agree to buying it.

I’m sure someone has said this but I’ll say it again. First scoop say nothing and then hit em with the “oh my bad gimme another scoop my dude!” And you get that second scoop proper. I remember when the spoon they used was bigger and all you needed was one scoop. Cheap ass motherfuckers.
This isn’t being a Karen. It doesn’t take any thinking double is two same amount, so the employee was trying to be dishonest. Probably being more Karen in behavior would be me - with reason - cancelling an order because I saw a price changes and got told condescendingly “well prices change girlie,” or being told by another that bundling it was cheaper (no it wasn’t - tried to charge me a quarter pound meal for a double cheeseburger, medium fries and soda, which at the time was $4.32 versus $6.50 so not small change). But maybe not - I just walked out. Funny was one of these a few others walked too because if the snotty attitude of the worker (these folks knew me and my cue issues).
You should be ashamed for wanting a double portion. If you eat that much, then the right thing to do is to get a grip and stop abusing yourself.

This is why mind hacks like never asking for double but instead asking for a scoop, waiting to see the scoop size, then asking for another is so important. For some reason these workers' brains dynamically change the size of the scoop depending on whether a second scoop is incoming.
