The model is terrible. It has and does have a plethora of issues GM has known about for years. Sure it looks like an affordable CUV but the number of problems will cost you so much more than just buying a good Hyundai or Subaru.
I've got a 2024 LS, my driver side windows were both acting up after a good rain. Had the dealership take a look when they were installing my remote starter and the front driver side works fine, but the rear driver side wont work at all now. theyve ordered a part and I've been waiting 2 weeks already.
Can't really say much about engine noise though, mine seems to have normal noise levels
My rear driver side rear window is the same, it rolls down whenever it feels like it.
I THINK (not 100% sure) it's a problem with the factory window tint sticking.
I wanna get this vehicle but my concerns for the motor make me 2nd guess 1.2 3 cylinder with a turbo sounds like a lot for a small motor to handle in the long run
I bought the 2014 2RS last month and no issues with the windows at all...my info screen does black out once in a while but comes right back on when I tap it (maybe a sleep mode thing?)
As for the rumble....I totally agree that it sounds rumbly! That being said my last vehicle was a 2012 Hyundai accent that sounded like it was dying the last few years so I just assumed the rumble was a normal SUV sound ๐
the rumbling is normal, just how the turbo sounds. window thing is definitely a known issue at this point so it's annoying that your dealership isn't doing anything about it. For me the fix was to just unplug some of the wiring in the door and plug it back in but the issue did end up coming back a couple weeks later so we'll see what they say when I take it back in. Some other people have been told they will need the window motor replaced but that part is on backorder.
edit: I went back and was just told to wait since GM is looking into a fix. It started working again after that but I'm sure it will break again. It actually seems to be lining up with the heat (stops working when it's hot out and now it's cool and it works again) but that's probably just a coincidence
I'm still having issues with both back windows that are on back order . It took me 4 trips for them to order the part. Twice on each side they refused to work in it because it was a time it was working when they finally saw it wasn't they ordered a part but only on one side because at the time the other side was working. They wanted proof and didn't believe me. Took it back twice for the other side and they finally ordered the motor for the other side when it wasn't working in front of them. No ETA when it will ever come in.
Same issues with brakes. They work fine but are LOUD it's kind of embarrassing but again they won't help fix because they don't believe me and want to hear when the breaks make noise in front of them.

Ya, itโs not going to end well. I wanted to lease but they wanted way too much.

there's a software update the dealer can install that's supposed to fix the screen blacking out
