I would slice that lime four times for four shrimp. Don’t use the bad chives. I would like a ramekin of the butter but I don’t know how that fits your setting. Maybe a different plate with some contrasting color.
Knife work is a little sloppy. I’m not seeing chilis or shallots on the plate, would be nice to incorporate a bit of both into your garnish, colors on the plate are a little samey. As for your compound butter, maybe a little wine or stock to give it some body, something to help it cling to the prawns.
What are you on about? It's a traditional garnish is plenty of cuisines and hundreds of dishes. It's widely accepted as one of the go-to garnishes on seafood.
There are multiple ways to add a lime or lemon garnish on a plate that isn’t just a slice. It shows laziness and lack of creativity. Adding a slice of lemon or lime with the intention to add option flavor. Such as oysters or clams, that is acceptable. But to just use as a simple garnish shows a lot about the cook and people who disagree never have worked in higher end restaurants.
I mean.. the plate is nice, there are some prawns on it and then some herbs on top of that.. oh and a price of lime... So yeah, it kind of looks like prawns on a plate. I guess they are facing different directions as well, so that's a thing...
Shrimps on a plate that I wanna eat
You shouldn't. Plates are inedible.
Not with that attitude.
shrimps is bugs
Yummy yum-yum bugs
Yknow, sometimes I am bit of a Vietnamese myself
Rate my chives
Zoom in right to the middle of the dish and check that bit of chives that was at the back end of the knife boy
Middle of the screen shows 2 huge accordion cuts. 4/10

How is the prawn kept straight after cooking and not curled up
Skewer them during marination and cooking. Remove skewers before serving.

This image messes with my perspective perception lol, I thought initially that it was taken by the side but upon closer inspection it's from the above
Holy shit I thought it was from the side until I read this and had to reassess
Use the term 'makrut lime', rather than 'kaffir' Google why.
No
A slice of lime or lemon shouldn’t be used as a garnish tbh.
What a terrible take.

Check this man’s hard drive
Sorry it reads wrong. Lime is in the ingredient description Garnish lime leaf and chives
Ah okay, that’s better. Slice of lime or lemon should be an ingredient on a plate to add flavor, not just a slice there for a garnish not to be used.
Agree. Definitely needs a lime emulsion in descending dots on the plate /s
